I had no idea service at a food joint could get bad as it is here. First time at a Zaxby's, and definitely now my last -- unfortunate because one just opened up by my house too and I was curious to see if I could have a new chicken place to try. I was ignored at the counter by at least 4 different employees who didn't even look at my face or acknowledge my existence. Eventually when one of them stared at me, I asked if I could order. I ordered a five piece buffalo wing, and when they asked me what sauce I wanted I picked the hot Zaxby's sauce because it was on a list of sauces. The employee then tells me that they don't toss wings in said sauce -- and when I asked what sauces they DO toss their wings in, they pointed to the same EFFING list I referred to initially. They didn't even look at me when they gave me my receipt. Go somewhere else -- you can get good chicken anywhere, you don't have to be treated like garbage by an entire staff for it. read more

Service has gone way down hill the last year, I always order online and when I get there, I can see my bag on the back counter but no one will look my way, the cashier acts like that is not her job to hand it to the customer clearly waiting and pointing at the bag. and the person bagging up the orders never looks around. I know you have cameras and should be able to see your employees not paying attention to the customers, been eating there for years but it's getting to the point it's not worth the hassle. And you have a young male manager that takes up multiple parking spots. read more

worst customer service and rude employees. went through drive thru and had to wait on order which is fine. we got our fountain drinks which were nasty so went inside to exchange for tea and instead of getting clean cup was told the tea is is "over there" so I just poured the whole drinks in the drain vent and used water to rinse cups. then no sweet tea which again was told it's "over there". I replied yes but it's out. Eye rolling but sent out partially filled glass of sweet tea and told to add unsweetened tea for my 1/2 & 1/2. got back to car - order delivered with no chocolate milk. went BACK IN and they acted like I hadn't paid for milk w kids meals. place inside is gross and like 10 people working so won't be back! Zaxby's is a solid alternative to other chicken places if you're looking for wings, chicken tenders, or chicken sandwiches. While it's not exactly the nicest location and service can be really slow, the food is still decent for the price that you pay. I got the Nibblerzs, which are 3 small sandwiches with chicken tenders and come with a side of seasoned fries and a drink. The sandwiches were actually quite filling, with a nice juicy chicken tender and good flavor from the Zax Sauce. The fries were substantial and well seasoned. However, they were on the more soggy side, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, if you want an alternative to say a Popeye's, this is a good place to go. read more

Absolutely the worst managed restaurant I've ever been in terms of service at the drive through. Lay visit after 40 minutes I thought it might be a fluke. This time I left after no cars moved for 15 minutes and 12 cars in front of me. I would like to be so wealthy that I could afford to have this huge investment and not give two shets as to how it is being managed. What a poor statement on a group of human beings. I will have to say when I first pulled up the girl that took my order was very nice and she made she put my order well done like I ask . I told her I want everything fried hard and when I say that that means chicken and fries not just the chicken . So , the chicken was great the fries were very soggy! I'm in the military so where I'm stationed doesn't have a Zaxby's. Zaxby's is always something I look forward to, but this place really gave me a sick feeling after eating it. The food wasn't fresh at all, very cold and underwhelming to say the least. Then again the place was getting ready to close so maybe the food was sitting around for a while. I like chicken. I like Zaxby's. Today's experience messed it all up. My chicken was cold AF. You had one job! It's not rocket science. Most of the cooking process is automated so really really all you have to do is open a bag and dump and then take it out of the grease when the alarm goes off. Utter failure. read more

This is by far the worst zaxbys I've ever been to in my whole life. I'm amazed at how poor the service is. They consistently take 15 minutes per order and no one acts like they want to be there. I had to wait for several minutes to order. Finally the manager on duty yelled out "Counter" and slow walked the young lady that was standing in the front of the dining room. The young lady seemed to hate her life. I placed a single meal order to go and she messed that up. The manager came over to fix the mistake and refund my money for the difference. I went over to fix my drink and there was trash on the floor and a white powdery substance on the floor and the drink station was a sticky stained mess. I received my order and it was wrong. The manager came over and said "well, the good thing you're getting a different meal for free". No, thanks I would like what I ordered and paid for. She re-order my meal thru the window in the back and the gentleman acknowledged me and said " I'll get it right sir." And he did. Their policy must be to fill the ice to the top of the cup! I am so over it! 3 sips and your are done and have a cup full of ice! I am so over it. Secondly, now the person taking the orders at the drive thru says, "go ahead" when you pull up to the speaker! How rude! Tried to order online for pick up via the website, it didn't work and kept declining my card. So I went to the store and ordered inside. My card worked finally, but The staff was rushing me along while I was trying to order. Definitely not a friendly cashier. Got a to go order of the wings and things with insane sauce on the side and a club sandwich. Of course there was no sauce OTS and my sandwich was basically salt with a side of salt. We had an 1hr to get from the west to east side of Gainesville before my daughters dance class so we ordered online using their app expecting it to be ready when we get there to have time to eat before her class. Salads after 8 aren't fresh. Blech. Was starving and wanted something light since it was kind of late. I used to get the salad with fried chicken strips for lunch and it always really hit the spot. Cool greens, crisp cucumbers, etc. This time when I went to eat it, everything was limp and lukewarm. So disappointing. Will have to try daytime again to see if this was a fluke or what. read more

Based on other fast food places with chicken tenders (Cane's, Jack's, etc) Zaxby's is easily the best in my opinion. So if you are coming and plan to get anything other than fried chicken strips (the reason one goes to Zaxby's ) then don't expect great things, otherwise prepare your mouth and get plenty of sauce. read more

Breaded chicken fingers seasoned just right. Crinkle cut fries with some type of Cajun seasoning attached. The Zax sauce makes it all better. At 25 cents each I always order extra sauce. Prices are low and you get a good portion. If you are not in the south, the only restaurant I can compare it to is Raising Canes chicken fingers in the Midwest. I've never eaten it but people have made the comparison. You won't be disappointed. read more

Waited 15 minutes for the chicken to be cooked for our salad. The coleslaw was raw cabbage in a bowl no dressing. I waited 10 minutes on hold to tell the manager about the issues, they apologized but no mention of coming by to pick up the 3 coleslaws that were raw cabbage and carrots. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Oh well guess we will hit up PDQ. read more

Got sick within 30 minutes of eating at this store today. Got the baked chicken sandwich meal. I felt like throwing up but stopped myself from putting my fingers in my throat. Couldn't stop belching out puke scented burps. Felt sick in upper abdomen for the last 9 hours. starting to get a headache. I think i might go to the hospital if i still feel sick in the morning. I think I got food poisoning. I suspect it was the chicken or that nasty looking piece of "lettuce" they always put on the sandwiches. Never eating at this store or another location again. read more

I am reviewing 5 food items, the service, & the cleanliness of the dining area-- nothing more. I stop in periodically to visit my kids (students). This visit was no exception. Whenever watching my weight (lessen), I'll grab The Blue salad (blackened) w/ honey mustard dressing. It's always excellent, & I get 2 - 2.5 meals out of it. The entire salad is 540 calories before the dressing (w/ 3 grams of fiber). The mixed greens, large lean piece of chicken, tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, carrots, red cabbage & onion straws are delicious. It's truly an incredible salad! The restaurant's slaw is quite good as well. The Chicken Fingers are great @ approximately 78 calories each. (Only Chic-Fil-A has 'em beat in flavor.) I could drink the Zax sauce if left alone w/ it:) The banana shake w/ either vanilla or chocolate whipped topping is packed w/ banana flavor. Service was fast today, but it depends on the number of people in line & the number of employees working behind the counter since each meal is prepared upon ordering; over the years, I've never encountered a considerable wait. The dining area appeared clean; all the tables were bussed. I often go through drive thru, though, so I'm not the best judge of the dine-in experience. read more

I love Zaxbys but this location needs work. The quality of the food, especially the fries is sub par. The staff has on more than one occasion given me my food in an open container. The ketchup dispenser is often low and the dining area could be cleaner. Seems like Zaxbys could do alot better. read more
