Unfortunately, this is the third time I've been to this Zaxby's, despite telling myself after each of the first two visits that I wouldn't be back. Apparently, I'm a slow learner. Each experience has been remarkably consistent: terrible service, rude employees, extremely long wait times, and somehow, after all that waiting, the order is still wrong. You can have two cars in the drive-thru and still expect to wait 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A two doors down can have 20+ cars wrapped around the building and cycle through the line twice before three cars make it through Zaxby's. Honestly, it's almost impressive. There appear to be 20 people working behind the front counter, yet somehow no one can complete an order or, for that matter, a sentence. Basic courtesy and customer service seem to have left the building some time ago. At this point, I'm convinced they're killing the chickens in the back. Then they take a nap. Then they clean them. Then they cook them. Then they empty your wallet (maybe even mug you, who knows?) and send you on your way with disappointment in your belly. My recommendation, if you're on Milledgeville, GA....drive on past the Zaxbys, you'll thank me later! read more

When you order a $12 salad, with no cucumbers, you expect it to not have cucumbers - this happens EVERY TIME on our yearly visit. This time, as well, there was a good bit of wilted and brown lettuce. I had planned on a nice Mexican dinner. But, between the place being closed, and the rain, I didn't want to do too much driving around. And, since I've driven by Zaxby's many times, I decided to give 'em a try. When I pulled into the parking lot at 4:35, I was surprised to see how crowed the place was. Both inside (at least a dozen people), and the drive-thru (at least 8 cars in line). When I walked inside, there was 1 person just finished giving their order to the cashier, and 1 ahead of me. After I placed my order for a 4 piece Chicken Fingers plate with French fries, coleslaw and a drink to go, at least 6 more people came in. But, the restaurant didn't bother to open another register. As someone who is always willing to try something new, I got the fingers with the Zac Sauce (which they charged extra for :-( ), and I filled my cup with the Peach MinuteMaid drink. Well, I took one sip of the drink, and ugh! Talk about nasty tasting! I just threw the whole thing out. On my way out, there were still quite a few cars in line for the Drive-thru. When I got home, I opened the container, slaw and sauce. Well, the fries were undercooked. And, after just one dip of a Chicken Fingers into the Zax sauce, I decided to stick with ketchup. The Coleslaw was good. But, nowhere near creamy enough. Also, what was supposed to be Texas Toast, was nothing more than slightly thicker bread, that wasn't toasted well at all. I've seen uneven toasting done before. But, never this bad. On one side, there wqsca clear line where the toast was still white. And, on the other side, a brown spot in the middle. :-( The chicken fingers were good, too. But, nothing to write home about. So, for the price, and overall, I have had better elsewhere. And, while I would be willing to try one of their sandwiches, and the salads, I won't bother to order a meal platter here again. read more

They should really stick to chicken. The shrimp they're selling is low quality. Chewy as hell. Was like trying to chew a superball, except the superball would have more flavor. The only flavor you'll get is from the sauce, which is good but it'll give you some bad farts. Really bad. Like, you could fart in the kitchen but it's gonna be hot on your trail by the time you get back to the bedroom to lay some pipe, but that fart had a heat behind it and now she has a headache. Tried the new avocado blt tacos. It was very good but only one small chicken strip in them. Left over half the taco just lettuce and sauce. Gave them a second chance but same results. Need to have a larger strip or at least two small strips in them. read more

I'm start this off by.. where's my celery?? No ketchup!! The ranch location in container was open in the middle.. i don't know if there nail went thru it or what .. but I threw it in the trash.. fries were ok.. but wings were cold and super small. Been to this Zaxby's location quite a few times and agree with the reviewer that called it "Saltsby's"; because they really cover the food here with their famous seasoning salt. I still remember when this location first opened it's doors in Milledgeville and how fresh and good the food was; the Zax sauce was even homemade back then and served in to go ramekins. But over the years I watched the demise of this restaurant unfold and the food go from good to ok to not so good; as well service go from good service to poor quality service. I guess the newness always wears off. The last time I visited this Zaxby's not only was my food salty, but the chicken fingers and fries were cold also. At least they have good ice still. read more

I have the same experience as many others and wish I read the reviews first before ordering from this Zaxbys. For the last 2 visits, my order was incorrect at the drive thru. I do not plan to return but warn those that wish to try, check your order before you drive off as it has a high chance of being wrong. Out of the 5-6 online orders I've placed within the last month, 0 have been correct. Either the sauces are wrong, the sides are wrong, or I get my fingers tossed in sauce when I specifically mark that I do not want that because of the 1.50 up charge. This time when I asked for my correct the sauce, the worker made me pay in order to get the correct sauces after them messing it up once again and refusing to just give me the ones I ordered. Love zaxbys and maybe it's just bunk ass milledgeville but regardless this location needs to get its staff together cause it's ridiculous. Side note once I finally paid I had to wait 5-6 minutes to get one thing of sauce and even had the employee who "helped" me ask me what I was standing at the front still for. Disappointed! Not the first time being disappointed with them in the past year. I remember back in the days, they used to be sooo good. But this past time was enough for me. The food is just not good here anymore. Portion size to $14 ticket didn't add up (4 tenders that taste like plastic/tough. Cheddar bites weren't too bad but weren't hot enough and the flour/batter taste soft/mushy on some of the pieces. Fries were no good of course-no ketchup was given keep in mind, this was drive thru. I don't know what has happened to the Zaxby's In Milledgeville, but something has and it's not for the better. There used to be customer service, but that's gone. You have to waiting for 30 minutes to get your food and then it's not even good. Just thrown together and this isn't the first time. Been to this location multiple time with multiple problems. The service is horrible. They will always forget your extra sauces or they are out of ranch dressing. Today was the killer for me though, I ordered a fried house salad with ranch dressing and a side of their wing sauce but wait....... sorry sir we're out of ranch. (kinda already figured that) and they also no surprise forgot the wing sauce I paid for (knew that was coming wasn't even mad) went on home, because I already both there anyway but when I started eating the salad it looked good but tasted old started looking though it and found that most of it was old and brown on the bottom. TRASH. TRASH. TRASH!!!!! They are terrible! I understand being busy but I ALWAYS have to wait 20+ minutes for my food even when I place an online order. Also, they don't know how to follow specific order instructions because it's always wrong. The one thing I can say they will give you your next meal free if you they do your order wrong but it's been twice that this has happened to me which is ridiculous. not a fan of this zaxbys and it's the only one around. today i went and there was 4 cars in line, and still waited 30 mins to get my food. i asked for extra sauce when i ordered, and again i asked at the window, and after asking twice and paying extra, i did not get sauce. i ordered a big zax snack and only got 2 chicken fingers...and they were burnt. nothing is more annoying when places make you pay for extra sauce and you don't get it. and on top of that not getting the right amount of chicken fingers. zaxbys is already kind of pricey for their food, so paying extra and not getting what you ask for is irritating. read more

Alright. The amount of times I have come to this Zaxby's since starting school in Milledgeville is countless. And EVERY single time I order the same thing. A Big Zax Snak Meal with EXTRA SEASONING ON THE FRIES. You may have noticed but I emphasized the extra seasoning on the fries. Yet, even though I emphasize it, I NEVER get extra seasoning on my fries EVER. It's almost like I get LESS seasoning then if I hadn't said anything at all??? I'm starting to believe that, everytime I ask for extra seasoning on my fries and the workers put it into the computer, the computer randomly generates a different addition to my order. My point is, I have been to many a Zaxby's, and every other Zaxby's I have gone to have been able to give me extra seasoning on my fries. Why is it so hard for this Zaxby's to do the same thing? My experience with Zaxbys is not that of total bad. Sometimes I have found that my order is a bit to salty and with that I am unable to eat the chicken. It is not all the time that it is like this so I attribute it to the fact that they have different cooks and naturally different cooks are completly different and some are a bit heavy on the salt. In all honesty everything else is fabulous and I have sampled pretty much the whole menue. Great customer service always when dining in or at the drive through window. The stores restrooms are clean and odor free. Prices are marked just right for the amount of food that you get and I just love those crinkle cut fries with that Zaks sauce. read more

Well when we got to the Zaxby's location the line was not too long but it was long indeed. The amount of time that we had to wait in line was ridiculous the car in front of me had to wait at least five minutes before placing her order at the drive-through. I am a frequent at this location and I am very disappointed in their performance. I hope management does something about this because if these long wait to continue they will not get my business I spent a good 24 minutes at this location that time out of my day that I should be spending otherwise. read more
