I always forget we have a Zaxby's in Fleming Island. They actually make fantastic salads and the portions are generous, too. The vibe at the drive thru was upbeat and positive. I love that it is so convenient and the service is fast! I'm not sure when their salads got so good, but you can request any of them with grilled chicken instead of fried. Mine was grilled fresh while I waited. The prices were very reasonable @ around $12-13 served in a easy-to-use to-go container. The girls at the window were so helpful in their salad suggestions and outstanding customer service. Shout out to Angela for her salad recommendations and Guliet for those extra salad dressing to go with my greens. I will be a regular customer going forward because of my excellent experience at this location. Kudos! read more

This Zaxbys sucks, they try to upsale you on everything single thing (asking about large size or extra sauce for every single thing ordered), their tenders are always so much smaller than anywhere else, and orders are constantly wrong. There is an old saying that these people apparently never heard, "Pigs get fat, Hogs get slaughtered"...$11.60 for a 4 piece chicken tender plate. Almost $3.00 per tender. This place needs to be boycotted until they stop ripping people off. A better suggestion...go across the street to Publix. Their chicken tenders are 2-3x the size and better meat. You will get a choice of 2 sides and Publix portions are 2x the size of Zaxby's and guess what, Publix is about 1/2 the price. Better food, better value. If you are in high school and work here you should consider working some place else where you do not have to rip off your neighbors, you friends, or anyone else for that matter. read more

Was handed the nastiest salad I ever tried to eat today! Wilted lettuce, over ripe (mush) tomatoes, and way over sauced buffalo chicken. Just a bowl of cold mush! Dining room still not open probably contributes to the lack of quality food since you drive it home before you even look at it...yuck! read more

Zaxbys has the best french fries in town, crinkle cut, crispy and fresh. The chicken is delicious but always a bit salty to me. The coleslaw is awesome and fresh too. The have fresh delicious iced tea and a coke multi dispense machine for a plethora of soda options. The atmosphere is fast food but calm lighting and this location is always clean with friendly staff. A good go to on any day. read more

Don't go here if you want good service! To start this experience off The cashier who handled us was named Mackenzi. He got our first order wrong completely then had an attitude when we asked him nicely to get us the right food we ordered. When he handed us the right food for the First order he had a attitude telling us here's your zensation sandwich bye! So we needed to order another meal at this time he ignored us at first then placed a salad order and messed it up and got an attitude yet again so either zaxbys In Fleming Island Florida needs to hire respectful employees or I won't be back. Very hit or miss. They can be very slow and it's not uncommon for me to check the food before driving away and find that it's not what I ordered. The big plus to this location is that it's always much less busy than the Chickfila across the parking lot. Tonight I tried the new grilled chicken sandwich meal. Disappointed to get home and find no Zax sauce in my bag. Not sure if it doesn't come with the meal (which would surprise me) or if they just didn't put it in there. The bun fell apart before I could even take a bite and the "tomato" was less than half a slice of tomato. This place is very close to Chik Fil A, go to chik fil a instead. The service is usually lukewarm at best, rude at worst and they don't even have milkshakes anymore. With 10 years experience going to this location, I've yet to have a "WOW!" moment of amazingness. Instead, it's moments of "ugh". Over the last decade, I reach out to corporate most times issues arise. I'm not looking for a hand out but instead, the hope that feedback regarding my negative experiences will be used as a tool for them to better this particular location. Spoiler Alert: no one at Zaxby's seems to care since they continue to deliver poor service and inconsistent results. I love Zaxby's chicken, their Zalads, toast, Zax Sauce, and their crinkle fries (with extra seasoning!). I think their food is great and I dare say, better than Chick-Fil-A. However, it's due to the listed reasons below that i don't eat there often. However, this particular location is by far the worst of the 6 I've experienced in the Greater Jacksonville area. It is rare for them to get an order correct, or to live up to the word "fast" in Fast Food. Here are some examples. - You can expect food to take 20+ minutes. Once I sat in the Drive Thru and when I hit 28 minutes with only 1 car having moved in that time span, and a total of 3 others in front of me waiting to order, I left. - I was given bread. Not toast, bread. Like I said, I love their toast! So this was an utter disappointment. - Ask for a Zalad with blackened chicken, no cheese, and no fried onion = regular chicken, cheese, and no fried onion. - Ask for a Zalad with essentially just chicken, lettuce, sub for extra cucumbers (no tomatoes, cheese, or fried onion, and pay extra for cucumbers. Why? I just took off 3 ingredients....you aren't losing money by giving me a few extra cucs. - Ordered their delicious fries which are my favorite fries, and received a sad looking serving of maybe half the box and they weren't cooked all the way through. Gross. Avoid this location. Zaxby's is absolutely delicious, there's no denying. But this location, for a full decade now, cannot seem to get it together. read more

Husband tasted his drink and it was flat so i proceeded to taste mine and my kids drinks all flat. So i backup to window and inform them drink is flat guy at window in blue shirt said okay ill remake and bring them out. So he bought the drinks out and guess what they are flat! So cars are in line so i drive around back to window and ask hey did you make these from same machine blue shirt says yes, so i say its flat make a soda and taste it maybe it needs to be changed? He looks me dead in my face and says i dont care if my drink is flat or not I'm still going to drink it, it doesn't matter to me. I said well i would like some acid and taste to my drink can you get it from another machine? He says okay just pull up. well i waited from 9:51 pm until 10:28 pm thats 37 mins for five number 4's....finally blue shirt and another female come out with food and drinks...i check food and two orders have 3 bone in chicken wings each and rest are boneless. Then the other three orders are boneless. He tells me oh we don't have any bone in chicken so we did boneless. I told him i ordered 5 traditional number 4s and was told wait was 8 mins and this is boneless and yall didn't even tell me that yall were substituting my order and had i not looked i wouldve gotten home and been pissed! You dont just give me what you want and not say anything. Blue shirt then says well i can comp the three boneless meals so you can come back another time. I sid if you comp 3 you need to comp all 5 because two of them are boneless and traditional mixed together. Again not what i ordered... so he just stands there. UPDATE, FEB 28, 2015.........I always go to this location as it is right by my house. This place has gone down majorly and it could be from the new hires that slack and just work for the check. Ugh!!! Well tonight I have had the worst of the worst experience. Went through the drive thru and was told it will take twenty minutes to make the food if I mind the wait, I said no I don't mind the wait. I wasn't sure why it was going to take so long if it was only 10:40 and they close at 11:00. That was weird. Anyways I ordered the 'Kickn Chicken Meal', paid and within a few seconds my meal was done. All of three minutes. Prior to leaving, I checked my meal and the fries were COLD and OLD. I informed the young lady at the window that I would like fresh fries. She said okay and the wait began. Needless to say, I was not happy as by the time I got home, my entire sandwich was cold... If I had not have checked my fries, I would have been home with COLD & OLD fries. Terrible night management!!! They have lost my business completely.
