Somewhat disappointed today at this store. My rate is more like a 3 1/2 stars. Ordered our regular favorites. HH, Cobb salad with fried chicken, cheese nuggets. For me, Grilled chicken Cobb salad and cheese nuggets. (And WHY has Corporate stopped having marinara for the cheese nuggets, not happy!) Our salads came out WITHOUT , the egg & bacon. There also was only about 3/4 the amount of salad and other ingredients. The two ladies ahead of us has the right Cobb salads, but not us. When HH went up for the missing items all they gave him was enough bacon for one salad! This was not the experience we are normally used to. read more

I must be on a streak of bad experiences lately and I truly hate complaining. We live in the south, tea is a staple. But, this is the third time I've visited this particular Zaxby's and each time NO TEA. In fact, they were out of a number of things, including condiments and .today the chicken was dry and overcooked. The sad part is that the restaurant was nearly empty - which makes it quiet, but a Zaxby's is normally bustling at this hour. read more

I went through the drive thru earlier today. My drink order was not correct. As I started to go back around to ask for the correct drink, I saw an employee delivering food to a car. I called out to him for his help. Mitchell was very kind, courteous and helpful. He returned with the correct drink and a smile. I really appreciate his kindness. I have mobility issues and his help kept me from trying to go in or circling through the drive thru. Thanks Mitchell! read more

They were fast -- I'd say food was served up in under 3 minutes. They do NOT have milkshakes! The bun on my chicken Signature Sandwich was cold, as if right out of the fridge. The fried chicken breast in it was getting hard, as if it had been cooked hours before, and drying in a warmer since. It had a smidge of good Zaxby's sauce underneath. The Fries were better The Coke was good, although it's dispenser was stingy with ice. read more

The service is slow, the restaurant is dirty, there were several empty trays sitting on empty tables. We had to clean our table before we sat down, but before that, we had to ask for napkins as all of the dispensers were empty. There was a long wait for the food although the crowd inside was small to moderate. In addition the restrooms were dirty with paper towels strewn all over the floor, and the soap dispensers were empty. To wrap it up, if you are craving slow service, poor food, and a dirty eating area, Zaxby's in Scottsboro is for you! read more

Worst case of food poisoning I've ever had disgusting I had chicken fingers fries and a salad

Just got food here and they forgot the silverware and got no sauce at all. My food is also skimped and feels as if I got less than usual.

I have nothing negative to say about Zaxby's! The food is always excellent! And great service!

I have been eating at this Zaxby's since it opened and it has been my favorite place in town for years. For a period of a few years, I was eating here on average about three times a week. However, I have to say that the quality of service has really declined recently and as that quailty has declined I have chosen to eat Zaxby's less and less frequently. For years, this Zaxby's had the exact same staff and now it is like every time I go it is completely new people. The past two times I have not recieved my dressing with my salad. First time, I just let it go. Today, it bothered me a little bit more so I called. The first person that answered was polite but did not really seem to have a redress for the issue. He let me know that he was putting me on hold in order to find a manager. However, he did not actually put me on hold and I was able to hear him tell the manager that "someone on the phone was complaining about something." Anyways, the manager did offer me a free salad but I did not really get the sense that she cared. She also used the excuse that they had "a lot of teenagers" working there. Which just seemed like she was blaming the staff instead of taking responsibility. I mean, come on, every Chick-fil-A I go to has almost exclusively teenagers working there and the service is always 100 % excellent. Zaxby's is not even all teenagers as if that even mattered. Since this was not my first time being dissastified with the service but rather the final straw, I declined the free salad and just told her that I would be finding another place to eat due to the general decline in service. As I said, I have been a loyal Zaxby's customer for years so it kind of felt like breaking-up with Zaxby's. As more fast food restaurants come into Scottsboro, this Zaxby's is really not going to be able to compete at the level that they are capable of if they do not improve their service. This place is mutha fuckin pitiful. The staff is rude. Left out my sauce so I politely asked for it. She tossed it at me. Had me fucked up

The food is typical Zaxby which I enjoy. I had the Blue salad with blackened chicken which was good. The staff has a lack of understanding about Covid cleanliness. They require customers to wear masks (state law) but many of the staff only put their masks on while talking to customers. No one in the back food prep area are wearing masks. Two employees in the dinning room didn't have masks. The have limited the seating but are not clearing the tables. We cleaned our own table with wet wipes from my daughter's bag. I talked with the manager Cass and I don't think she understood my concerns. read more

This is one of the Zaxby's that I would stop and eat during my long business trips from Woodstock to Huntsville area. I wasn't too hungry on my drive back to Woodstock but to me this is the last decent food stops between Scottsboro and the 75 if you take the back roads. The service and quality of food is always exceptional. The restaurant is fairly clean and well stocked. So far, I have not had a bad experience. read more

My Wife and I came here all the time when we lived here. It has a lot going for it, such as it is a great location, it is probably the best 'chicken' joint in the Boro and the staff is always nice! That combined with Zaxby's great atmosphere, you have a great place to come in and take it easy for a little. This Zaxby's always has fresh food, it is hot and fast. The staff is always nice and the store and restroom is always clean. All in all if you are wanting chicken, go here!! IT IS GREAT! read more

This Zaxby's is one of the only places in Scottsboro where you can even get hot wings, (Scottsboro NEEDS Wingstop!) and they are by far the best. The food is always good. The booths and tables always clean, and they seem to be much better staffed than other Zaxby's I have visited (see my other reviews). My favorite picks are the Large Buffalo Plate which has 2 Texas toast, slaw, huge amount of fries, and somewhere between 7-10 Chicken Strips (it seems to vary each time!). Also check out the Buffalo-Blue salad, it is delicious and combines 2 of my favorite things, hot sauce & blue cheese. The sauce choices are pretty good at Zaxby's, and can pack some real heat. Anything beyond tongue torch is simply too much heat VS taste for me. The "Zax Sauce" dipping sauce is really good and compliments their hot sauce flavors perfectly. read more

The wife and I split a house salad with fried chicken on it. It was very good. However, I ran out of thousand island dressing before I ran out of lettuce. At my wife's recommendation, I ordered a small Banana Pudding Shake. She thinks they taste just like banana pudding. I didn't think so, and was a little disappointed in it. I give it a three and a half. I think I like their b'dy cake shakes better. This location is on US 72, and gets a lot of customers. This heavy traffic takes a toll on the restaurants here, and their standards. This is like the second-best restaurant in Scottsboro. Yet our table was not washed off after the previous customer, and was a little sticky. My strongest reaction was to the bathroom floor. It has so much ground-in grime that I thought it was bare cement, until I saw a trace of grout lines and realized it was tile. It had been mopped today, so I give it a two instead of a one. The flooring probably needs to be replaced with something that can look clean, and not gross out the diners. (The restroom at Unclaimed Baggage looked MUCH better.) read more
