We are updating our review of Zeek's Plumbing based on what is now over 3 years of service from this business. We originally used Zeek's Plumbing to do everyday plumbing needs in our older home (drain cleanout, installing new plumbing fixtures) and then had him so all of the new water and gas lines for an ADU we are building including new service for both water, waste and gas for a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Our experience was excellent in all respects with the work finished on time, and budget. Zeek consistently delivers scheduled work for both small and larger projects as promised in terms of scheduling and made sure his work is done to journeyman standards and code requirements. He is always involved and is available to address questions or issues whenever necessary. As a plumbing service company this is definitely one of the best we have dealt with. We recently purchased another house that was built in 1955 with most of the plumbing in a poor state (leaking waste lines, displaced lateral in driveway, poor water pressure and built up sediment in City water line). Zeek replaced all of our house waste lines, re-piped the water service from the City meter, laid I a new private lateral to the main cleanout and did all of our finish plumbing for 2 bathrooms and a new kitchen. The work was all done to a high standard, on time and budget. Dealing with this business in truly a pleasure from a remodel and homeowner standpoint. I have some serious concerns about Zeek's. I called about a blocked toilet. Zeek said he was unable to find the cleanout, and thus would have to remove the toilet in order to snake the line. None of that makes sense to me. First, the cleanout was sitting in plain view and I found it myself and pointed it out. Zeek then said that the cleanout only allowed him to snake in one direction (the wrong direction, he said) and that he still needed to remove the toilet in order to snake the line. He wanted a total of $535, informing me that he does not work on an hourly basis by rather on a flat fee per task. I declined his services. Maybe I am off base, but I got the distinct impression that he was feeding me a line. read more

Had a leaking sink and called Zeeks to have someone take a look at it. The experience was great from start to finish. Their front office personnel were very pleasant and easy to talk to. They scheduled their service to come out a couple days later, so rather quick turnaround time. I believe there was an option for expedited service, which I did not need. They called the day of and had to reschedule due to another clients emergency, which was no big deal for me cause they still came out later that day. Pretty awesome that they care enough about their clients to see a job to completion. Zeek himself showed up with one of his employees to do the job. I initially gave Zeek a 4-5 star review; however in hindsight, I should have noted not only is he professional, courteous and efficient, but also expensive. I should have known that I was going to be gouged when he initially stated that he'd have to tear into our shower wall and replace the whole fixture for $750 sum odd dollars. After I told him all it needed was a simple valve replacement which I could not find the correct one. After 20 minutes and replacing the $20 part, he charged us $343! It was late on a Friday evening. He's the only plumber that answered my call. I was glad he came out. Nonetheless, for a plumber just starting out in his business, he ought to consider beating his competition with not only better service but with better and more affordable prices. I'm kicking my old 72 year old self for not just waiting and fixing it the next day. read more
