I tried to get an estimate and they wanted to charge me $95 to come out to my house to look at my unique pluming issue. They never called me but only wanted to text and of course didn't want to come out to assess the job. Here is their text reply estimate of my job after sending them a picture: "Ok well most likely have to drill out the Hub and rebuild the riser rough idea and cost should that go well rough idea only about 500 and if toilet will be ready to go back in then can set your toilet as well" Two other plumbers came out to my home at no charge and gave me estimates. read more

I really can't recommend AVG Plumbing enough. I found AVG online, and checked with the CSLB to verify he was properly licensed. The owner, Andrew, gave us a bid for a new water heater based on photos we sent. AVG came out in 2 days and replaced our WH and brought it up to code. The price was fair considering the work that he did. Andrew named his company AVG because those are his initials. He's not some anonymous corporate entity. He's a well qualified, intelligent and considerate plumber. He found that another plumbing problem we were dreading to deal with was just a simple fix. Although closed over the weekend, came out Monday to save the day on a clogged toilet that shut down plumbing in the house. Instead of just doing the basic, pulled our blocked up toilet out, snaked all the way to the street to make sure the whole line was cleared. Then snaked the shower and sink to clear everything out. Andrew noticed the shower drain cover was sharp edged and replaced it for safety. Cleaned u everything as best they could and made sure I knew everything they did and said if anything else was needed, they'd take care of it. I heard great things about this company from a co-worker. It initially took a couple of calls to have them call us back. They canceled the day before and wanted to reschedule the next day, told us between 8-10. When they didn't show, I called and they said because I did not call them to confirm I would now have to reschedule again. Without the use of my sink for 5 days, they were courteous and came out that day they rescheduled us. Great job. Next our hot water heater went out. They promptly called back and scheduled 3 days out. They cancelled the night before the appointment via text message. We were texted they lost an employee and "thanks for the opportunity, we are backed up." There was no mention of a reschedule. When pressed, we were told it would be a week. It felt like we were being blown off. Called another company, they will be out tomorrow to replace the water heater. read more
