Went for a get together dinner with a group of friends and we had a great night! Service was great, staff were educated on the menu, specials and drinks. The drinks are incredibly affordable here, on par to any other place's happy hour pricing even. The amaretto spritz and espresso martini were especially delicious! I got a sangria for myself and they had 3 options (rosé, white or red) and I got the rosé sangria it was sooo good. They also allow you to bring your own bottle with corkage fee of $20. There was free bread which was nice and I really enjoyed the marinara dip for it. The portions for the pasta were huge and a majority of us packed the rest of it to go. I got the penne michelangelo (penne, peas, chicken, sundried tomatoes) and my partner got the spaghetti carbonara and both were so tasty. The desserts were really good too, we were all so full by the end of the night but decided to split a tiramisu amongst ourselves just to cap it off and it was really good, lots of mascarpone. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience, lots of chatter and a nice view. I do highly reccomend a reservation since it was packed when we came at 8pm (with reso). I highly reccomend this spot and would love to return.

Amazing hidden gem right on Robson street. This was my 3rd time here and it never fails to impress. Came here with a group of 8 on Saturday night (we had a reso) and it was really really busy! Most likely because they will be closing the restaurant in May. We loved all the food and the cocktails were amazing and affordable! We had a fantastic time and brought our own bottles of wine (the corkage fee is $20). Thank you for the last 30 years of service! And thank you to all the lovely servers! Throughout the years, each time I've visited, the server has always been the same. I can tell that this restaurant is truly a family and we will all miss it!

I'm pretty picky about Italian food and I have no complaints about this spot. The service was excellent. No forced cheer here, just an efficient and effective waitress. Fresh ground pepper and Parmesan was offered for the pastas. My husband's truffle stuffed pasta was delicious. Despite having a cream sauce it did not taste too heavy. I had a seafood pasta and it was really nice. The salinity of the capers and anchovies really shone through and the pasta itself had a great chew to it. My daughter loved her ragu and we also had a kale Caesar which was a nice fresh start to the meal. I didn't love the wine he chose (a local wine) but we're probably spoiled being from NorCal. The restaurant itself is upstairs but a lot of them were in this spot. Made for a nice view and more quiet atmosphere. Definitely would revisit this spot.

This was the best place for my sisters birthday dinner. Great food, great drinks, and a casual but elegant location. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the venue. It was right around dinner time but we were able to get a table right away without a reservation. The menu has a variety of options to choose from and a select handful of specialties for the day. They do give you complimentary bread with a flavorful dipping sauce, and do provide seconds. The salad was an appetizer, enough to split between a group. The side of bread with blue cheese truffle oil is a must, best eaten right away but very delicious. The pasta was a large portion and full of spices and the pasta was cooked just perfectly. Not pictured was the speciality that my sister got, shrimp and crab raviolis. She hadnt even chewed the first bite and she said it was the best ravioli ever and very happy with her choice. The sauce alone was amazing. Because we were celebrating a birthday I had asked for a tiramisu to be delivered and they even put a candle in it and sang to my sister. The tiramisu was sweet and not soggy.

TL;DR: Poor service and food Came here on a Wednesday night around 8PM and was able to snag a table. It was very hot and humid in there, it was very uncomfortable. SERVICE: After we were seated, about 10 minutes later someone came and dropped off water and rushed off. We couldn't even get anyone's attention to place our order. So then another 10 minutes later, someone finally came to take our order. From then it took ~25 minutes for us to get our food and no one came to check on us in that time. FOOD: ~Complimentary bread and dipping sauce (2/5): Bread was flavorless. The sauce was COLD (not chilled). Very off putting ~Crab and lobster ravioli (3/5): The sauce was pretty good. The pasta was a little too al dente for me, and the filling was dense and didn't have a ton of crab/lobster flavor ~Duck Breast (1.5/5): Sauce and potatoes were good. The duck itself was awful. was cooked between medium well and well done. So dry, tough, and chewy With the subpar food and terrible service, this place definitely missed the mark.

This place was recommended by my friend. I made reservation by phone. I read on Yelp that reservations is highly recommended since the wait can be long. I was 15 minutes late and it was fine. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. It's a cute place and feels quite welcoming and cozy. I looked around and noticed that the pasta dishes are large so we decided to not order appetizer. I ordered linguine crab and it was a tad brand, but still good. My niece ordered linguine funghi and it was garlicky and flavorful. The rose sauce is like vodka sauce. Food came out quick, service was good and prices were decent.

I was confused on where the restaurant was for a second because you have to climb up some stairs. I got seated fairly quickly on a Friday night even though I didn't have a reservation. The staff members were great and very friendly. For an appetizer I had the Arugula Salad and it was pretty refreshing. The complimentary bread was also delicious and we asked for several servings. And the pasta dish I had was HUGE. I wished there was more mushrooms but overall the portion and flavor was great.

The food here is fantastic. We had penne salsiccia, the linguine puttanesca, spaghetti carbonara and they were all great. The place is quaint and inviting. The service was absolutely great and attentive. The place is located upstairs which also gives you a good view. Their bread was also delicious and warm.

Rediscovered this place years later and it is still a winner. Great service, excellent location upstairs above all the Robson street excitement. Make a reservation and ask for a window table. Quality ingredients and fantastic flavors. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Vancouver.

Loved the ambiance at this place! Food was delicious. Specially recommend the Chicken livers Crostini. The bread & marinara was Amazing. Device was spot on. I probably could've shared my plate. I'd return on my next visit to Vancouver.

My friends and I recently shared a few dishes here, and while the flavors were truly impressive,…read morethe portion sizes left us wanting more. We started with the complimentary bread, which was a total highlight. Each person gets a fresh slice that has an incredible crust and a soft, pillowy center--dipping it into the oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, the Gnocchi Asparagi e Funghi was my favorite - the gnocchi themselves were clearly handmade and had a great texture that didn't feel heavy. The earthy mushrooms and asparagus worked really well with the parmesan cream, which was rich but didn't overpower the other flavors. The Squid Ink Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was also solid; the lobster bisque base gave it a deep, savory saltiness that coated the clams, prawns, and scallops perfectly without making the dish feel too "fishy." We also tried the Candele Al Ragù D'Anatra. The duck ragu was tender and savory, and the combination of the parmesan fondue and aged asiago added a nice, sharp saltiness that made every bite really satisfying. Everything we ate was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so small because the flavors were definitely there. The service was excellent and very attentive; I especially appreciated that they were constantly on top of refilling my water throughout the night. The ambience also hit the right note, making it a great spot for a night out. However, the portions are definitely on the smaller side and aren't super filling. Even though every dish tasted amazing, we weren't full by the end of the meal, so it's something to keep in mind if you're arriving with a big appetite.

Service was fabulous. Food was superb. The Tiramisu was simply to die for. Best we ever had.read more

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.
