three bottles of vinegar and a pizza

With two locations and a third one looming on the horizon, Bufala Edgemont serves delicious Napolitana pizza and Italian food. Featured here: Olives Truffle Fries Tuscan Bean Dip Brussel Sprouts Rigatoni Margherita Pizza Calabria Pizza Spaghetti & Burrata Didn't taste much truffle in the Truffle Fries and it smelled a bit too strongly of pecorino romano for some of us. My husband isn't too fond of cheese in general whereas myself and our daughter both love cheese. However, even she and I found the cheese to be a bit of a turnoff this time. The pizza on the other hand could have done with a bit more cheese on it. We love ooey, gooey, stretchy cheese but there was no "cheese pull" to be had with these pizzas. Aside from the cheese being too much or too little, we loved the food here. My husband said his Calabria Pizza was very tasty. My daughter and I enjoyed the flavor of the Margherita Pizza, and we all loved that the pizzas had a nice, crispy crust. Earlier this year we had dined nearby at another pizza & pasta restaurant where the pizza crust had been quite disappointing so we were over the moon when we discovered how crispy the pizza crust was at Bufala. There were these three bottles on the table. Each one contained a different flavor of oil which the server told us was meant to be eaten with the pizza. The green oil was a Rosemary Herb flavored oil, and this same oil had been on top of our Tuscan Bean Dip. We loved this oil! It tasted awesome on the Tuscan Bean Dip and wonderful with the pizza as well. Spaghetti and Burrata was by far, my favourite dish of the evening. It's described as having kale pesto, Italian burrata and toasted pumpkin seeds on it; I was very sure that I could also taste lemon in it although lemon wasn't mentioned on the menu. This place is my new favourite for pizza & pasta on the North Shore, and I very much hope to dine here again sometime! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 3280 Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver

Our first time visiting this location of Bufala in Edgemont Village. Saturday night, no reservation, our party of 5 was quickly seated and greeted by several staff members. From start to finish staff was welcoming and friendly and the restaurant has a whistler vibe. We ordered the garlic bread and truffle fries to share, both were very good. Our mains were mixed, margherita pizza, Chicken Parmigiana and Rigatoni. All were enjoyed, flavourful and fresh. Our server was excellent and attentive, it was a great team effort. Only negatives is there is no parking in front, which is tough for seniors mobility wise and the pasta was a little al dente for our taste. Prices were reasonable.

Bufala Edgemont Dine Out Van Price for the menu = $39 Cuisine Type = Italian Reservation = Take Reservations Definitely one of the more filling Dine Out Van experiences I have had. They have plenty of options for Appetizer and Entree. We Ordered: - Appetizer = Truffle Fries (Shoestring Fries, Pecorino Tartufo, Garlic & Herb Aioli) & Garlic Bread (Mozzarella, Parmigiano, Herb Butter) - Entrees = Artichoke & Olive Pizza (Artichokes, Green Olives, Red Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Bianco) & Pepperoni Pizza (Thinly Sliced Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Oregano, Marinara) - Desserts = Ice Cream Sundae (Dulce de Leche, Hazelnuts, Vanilla Ice Cream) & Tiramisu (Mascarpone, Espresso, Amaretto, Cookies) Least Favourite Dish: Artichoke & Olive Pizza. Service was great and we had a great time.

We had a great Sunday afternoon here, enjoy our wine and their Neapolitan-style pizza. Food: Their pizzas were so fresh, tasty, and delish. like their wine selection. Service: everything was clean, they follow all Covid protocols has friendly staff, and the atmosphere was great. The covered patio was super nice. Parking: There are many free parking locations in Edgemont village.

The view from our booth! Loved the vibe!

Food service and ambiance was so good! We travel to Vancouver once a year and never had a great meal to remember! I'll be back to this place for sure!

It was such a nice change to finally visit this Italian restaurant to load in all that delicious carbs that our long weekend deserves! We ordered the Meatballs + Finocchiona Pizza + Rigatoni in our visit. The meatball is slightly on the salty side but the sauce was perfect for dipping your pizza crust! The texture of the rigatoni was just perfect al denté and had a nice bolognese sauce with it. The pizza really stood out to me in this meal at Bufala. They prepare the Neapolitan style pizza fresh from scratch and baked to perfection in their 800 degree stone oven. The crust had everything right, from the bubbly-ness, chewiness and crispiness of the crust! And my favourite part was that they use green olives in the Finocchiona Pizza! It had such a beautiful smokey and nutty flavour it completely elevated the pizza flavour!

Service was slow. They didn't seem to be super busy but it was a solid 30 min wait for a drink refill. The pizza was excellent though!

Here are the public hours of operation

We arrived for dinner tonight around 9:00 p.m. Upon finishing our meal, the waitress immediately brought the check without requesting it. We thought she was trying to anticipate the service. However, after paying, around 10:15 p.m., the hostess approached us: a tall, blonde-haired, grumpy-faced young lady. She told us rudely, "I'm sorry it's past 10:00 pm, we are closed, and you got to go!" Unfortunately, this young lady urgently needs proper training in customer service to be working in the front of the house. The schedule is public it clearly says open until 11:00 p.m. Customers should never be treated this way. Or is it because we are not Caucasians? We simply do not understand this kind of behavior.

Not even - these were two of the best pizzas we've ever eaten. 'Let's check out Edgemont Village to see if there's a good spot for lunch', we said. Well we walked a ways before finding this new place (though there really isn't much for restaurants there). There wasn't really much on the menu at Bufala that looked good to us, so we just decided on a couple pizzas, and these pizzas were absolutely delicious. I had an artichoke red pepper, and my partner had a mushroom arugula pizza. Sooo frickin' good. Nice new restaurant with the tiniest of tiny washrooms and v friendly staff. Turned into a nice day.

The Dante's Garibaldi & Aperol Spritz

Really enjoyed my night at Bufala tonight! My parents have been here numerous times now as it's in their hood and they can't stop talking about it! It's added a whole new vibe to the small village of Edgement which needed this restaurant badly! The ambience is really nice and once they open up the patio, this place will be even more bumpin. Highly recommend you make a reso as the restaurant is always busy. We ordered cocktails to start! I had the Aperol Spritz and my bf had the Dante's Garibaldi - the spritz was awesome, nice fresh flavour and loved the addition of the juicy orange and salty olive as garnish. I also really appreciated the ice they used to fill this drink. Ice can truly make or break a drink and make it too watery but these big cubes were perfect! The Dante's was exactly how you'd get the drink at Dante's in NYC. Very impressed with the bar menu and the attention to cocktail garnish. I also had the Fitty Fitty which was basically a very strong but smooth gin martini that came with olives, a pickled onion and a huge caper. I was abit disappointed that it didn't come with a pickle like it stated on the menu. I probably wouldn't order this cocktail again. I need my martinis dirtier than this. As for appetizers, we enjoyed the Aranchini which was filled with a delicious cheesey mushroom risotto and dipped in aioli. We also had crispy polenta which came with a salsa verde. Delicious dish as well, I just wish we didn't get both at the same time as the dishes were deep fried and on the heavier side. That's our fault! For mains, we got the Rigatoni, Parpadelle and Puttanesca. The Puttanesca was a touch too fishy for my liking but my boyfriend devoured it. I like mine a little more on the spicy side. I enjoyed my moms Rigatoni a lot and it may have been my favourite dish of the pastas. The pasta itself was cooked well and the flavour of the meat sauce was great. The parpadelle had nice chunks of ham in it and the noodles were very fresh. It came in an oil based sauce so nice and light! The dishes looked like they're on the smaller side because of the bowls but trust me, it's a good amount of food. To top off the excellent meal, we enjoyed decaf cappuccinos and a slice of tiramisu which was filled with a nice coffee flavour. It was also nice and light so I didn't feel super full after the meal. All in all, really great night! Next time I'll have to try the pizza as it looks absolutely delicious!

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was so good! Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had and they offer dipping oils to have with the pizza. Sooo good. This restaurant is in such a nice and cute area too. And they have happy hour from 4-6 on weekdays and 3-6 on weekends!

What a great spot - I can envision sipping cocktails in the summer with the doors open, or inside in winter - very nicely done up by someone with an eye. The tour exceeded our expectations and took us into 2 other spaces not normally accessible including a cask room in the back that can be booked for small to medium sized groups. Our guide was the owner and we are curious science minded people so it was a great match. Jan is an excellent teacher and story-teller. The tasting really educated me but let's not mince words,.. it was also tasty! The final phase of the tour is to show you how to mix gins into cocktails with a little hands on mixology tutorial with batertender Ky. All told several samples, and cocktails were included - all amazing. All of the staff were great. It was just a really enjoyable afternoon and worth of a rare 5 stars! I think this place is a must stop for a day adventure from Vancouver to the Shipyards area. It should also be noted that these guys aren't kidding around: national and international spirit awards across the board with some really quality innovative (but not gimmicky) products here.

First, we were seated quickly upon arrival, even though the restaurant looked busy for a Tuesday night. The servers were personable and genuinely kind, which set the tone for the rest of our dinner. The appetizers and drinks came out quickly, and both the chicken wings and calamari were some of the best we've ever had. Most calamari is served with tartar or marinara sauce, but their version came with a much more elevated yuzu sauce. Delicious! The mains were beautifully plated and tasted even better. The salmon had a light, balanced seasoning and was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The steak and peri peri chicken were well seasoned as well, with a seared crust and moist interior. My daughter loved the pasta, too. For dessert, we ordered the Cloud 9, which was perfectly named. It was a banana cake drizzled with sauce and topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh bananas. We're already planning what to order on our next visit because the menu had so many other items we definitely want to try. This was the best meal we've had in Vancouver, and we highly recommend it.

This is a great place for casual hang outs and quick dates. It's a bit far out in Lonsdale, but I would go out of my way for the views especially in the summer time! The servers are all really nice and they do a great job to communicating with each other to get customers in and up the stairs to their table. For this time, we came in with a group of 6 people and shared a bunch of appetizers and pizzas. I tried the new truffle pasta and although the meatballs were a bit salty, the pappardelle was yummy! King Taps is also quite well known for their delicious pizzas. I've tried a few pizzas in the past and they were quite good, but this time I tried the rotator pizza (vodka pie) and the mac daddy (big mac inspired pizza). The vodka pie was a bit too salty for me, but the mac daddy was interesting and refreshing to try! A lot of people in my group liked the vodka pie as it was something different as well. As always, you can't go wrong with truffle fries and brussels sprouts. I think I like King Taps a little more than Cactus Club as they have more of my preferred variety in the menu. You're not coming here for gourmet food, but you can definitely get solid bites and a solid time with loved ones. If I recall, their happy hour is also unbeatable - $7 cocktails, food starting at $7 and $5 beer/well highballs. King Taps is definitely a go to spot!
