My experience with John at Zeglio Custom Clothiers was completely different. From the very beginning, John demonstrated an attention to detail that set him apart. Rather than relying heavily on software or generalized measurements that are later interpreted by a third party, John personally took extensive measurements and carefully guided me through fabric and design selections. After many attempts to get a true BESPOKE suit, I found Zeglio. And I must say, you get what you pay for. After going to a couple of "custom" and "made-to-measure" shops, I wanted to get the real fit and feel of suit that the likes of Daniel Craig and Conor MacGregor have. John is as nice and professional as can be. I showed up wearing one of my "custom" suits and he kindly and professionally pointed out the flaws in the fit. John explained how his process would eliminate those errors. The next step was measuring. He did the approximately 40+ (give or take) from my neck down to the lower leg. During the measuring process that was fast yet accurate, John not only looked in the mirror but stepped back to get a longer sight line. The other places I went to did not do the "step back" view that he did. As a result of all of this, John pointed out that my shoulder level was a little lower on my left side, and my one leg was a bit longer that the other. John explained that the shoulder pads would be adjusted in the jacket, and that the pants would be symmetrical. For the suit, we went through the typical process of selecting cut, lapel style and width, thread color options, liner, buttons, pocket design and options, full or half lining, etc. For the pants: whether I wanted belt loops or not, preferred cut and taper, cuffs at the bottom or or not, suspender buttons or not. I also decided to order a shirt (collar width, style, buttons, french cuffs or not, embroidery). For the shirt, he even made sure that the cuff on my left wrist was slightly bigger for the watch I wear! Just WOW! About a month later, the custom shirt came back from the factory (that he owns!) along with the suit that was 1/2 finished. The shirt fit like a glove. Now the next steps are what bespoke is all about...the jacket had no liner, unfinished lapels, no shoulder pads. I tried it on with the various pad width selections inserted to get the right pitch for the garment. He also pinned the jacket to make adjustments. For the pants, the zipper, liner, and belt loops were not finished for the same reason. So John then pinned the pants. Both were sent back to his factory to be completed. "Custom" and "made-to-measure" comes back completely finished. They don't take the meticulous steps as described above. And you just can't get the same result. A couple of weeks or so the finished product came back. John explained (in advance) if another final adjustment was needed, it would be done. That was not the case. Incredible garments. Never had anything like this in my life. I ordered three more shirts and three more suits during the next few months. I get compliments ALL THE TIME on my wardrobe and could not be happier. TRUST ME, it is worth every cent. You will gain confidence by this clothing and command respect whether in a business meeting or social event. I came here in need of a tailored suit for an upcoming trip to Italy for a "fancy dinner" but was actually for a surprise proposal. Not only did my now fiancée say yes, but the suit came out incredible as well! Zeglio is in a league of its own. I have tried every normal avenue to find a great suit that looks good and fits well. I bought expensive suits off the rack from Nordstrom and had them altered, and "custom" suits from places like Men's Wearhouse. In both of those cases, the suits never quite fit properly - the tailors would take 4-5 measurements and call it a day, and would cut the suits to fit the way they thought they should fit, rather than your own personal preference and taste. The result was a suit that did not fit my body properly, and the quality of construction was mediocre at best, even at a $1000+ price point. I was on a mission to find suits that were high quality and fit my body perfectly - truly custom. I did a lot of research and found Zeglio. I made an appointment to see John, the owner of the company, to get a consultation and see how his process works. After discussing the price range I had in mind (there is a wide range depending on what your are looking for and the quality you want) he showed me dozens of fabrics, explaining the differences in quality and suit construction at the various price points. During the fitting process, he took no fewer than 40 measurements - some more than once to account for any inconsistencies in my breathing and posture, to make sure the final measurement was as accurate as possible to make the suit fit just right. After selecting my fabric, liner, and specific details I wanted (like ticket pocket, lapel shape and width, button slit colored embroidery) he sent the completed design off to be made. Within a month the suit was delivered, and WOW. It fit perfectly, just they way I wanted and looks fabulous. I get compliments constantly - I have even had complete strangers stop me in the street to compliment my suit - seriously. As a professional, nothing feels better than the confidence of knowing you look your best. John and Zeglio provide a 5-Star experience from beginning to end.
