I got there at 11:45am and was told there would be s 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait. To me this is not appropriate. I will never bring my car there for service ever again. Since my dashboard was alerting me that my tires needed air, and the warning covered up my speedometer, I drove to Al Piemonte Nissan, (about 15 -20 minutes from home) to see if someone could check my tires and make sure I could see the speedometer. OSCAR, from Nissan Service, was SO VERY reassuring, kind, and professional! In the time it took to get a hot chocolate from the waiting area, and sip a half cup, OSCAR returned and said, "you're all set & there are no nail(s) in tires." I was so relieved! And, yes, once air in tires was corrected, the speedometer was back on dash display. By the way, I even got a text message earlier, alerting me to the tire situation! So my dad, just days away from turning 69 and having a triple bypass surgery in late September of 2022, had walked into a car dealership, as usual, to get his daily walks in and admire new cars. Two things my dad loves in life besides his family are tools and vehicles, and the places he loves doing his daily walks at would be hardware stores and car dealerships to get his recommended steps in from his doctor. A persistent salesman named Alexis Aragon at Al Piemonte Nissan in Melrose Park, IL, took advantage of my dad. My dad walked in with a 2018 vehicle and walked out with a 2020 with more miles and a ton of trouble codes that I will share in the images. Oh, and let me mention the cost, amount of payments, and the ridiculous interest rate that came with the car. I will show side-by-side images of the paperwork for both vehicles; that way, you consumers that plan on buying from Al Piemonte Nissan in Melrose Park, IL, car dealership can be the judge. And let me not forget one more vital thing here, my dad's language barrier is minimal as he only speaks Spanish. I felt Salesman Alexis Aragon, who is bilingual, took full advantage of a quick sale. The Nissan at the Melrose Park, IL location, my dad (65yrs old) asked for passenger side brake hose replacement. They said all he needed was to replace a banjo bolt on the caliper, which they said would be over $300 lol. Then, they showed my dad an old banjo bolt that was rounding out, as if it took a lot of force to remove. They also said if he still wanted to replace the hose, it would be an additional $100-200ish bucks (which made no sense). The banjo bolt was a blatant lie and fraudulent. I personally replaced the two front calipers and banjo bolts with copper washers a few months ago, torched to specs. I knew exactly what the vehicle needed and was willing to pay for the services for my dad since my schedule has been busy. After speaking with the manager (because they don't allow you to speak with the mechanic), I declined their services altogether. I honestly thought going to the dealer's service shop would be best but if anyone is considering going to this service shop, I would recommend DO NOT DO IT. The fact that he made it right is why my review is a three star because what happened should never have happened. ORIGINAL: I'll start by saying I'm SUPER pissed. I went in thinking I wouldn't pay anything but $16+tax for a ($66) fully synthetic oil change today because I had a "$50 Gift Certificate" from their "big event". Now I'm at $36.34 because they didn't stock my oil filter. They never told me that they were changing the oil filter, which normally everywhere else they come out and show you, so you know it needs to be replaced because it's dirty... Had they told me BEFORE they did it, I would NEVER have gone there because I had a coupon for half that price to an oil change place, I should have known better since "Congrats you won" was in the email header. read more

I am not sure what happened to this service department. I have been a customer for about 6 years. Service was great in the beginning but the last few repairs needed a return visit. I do not feel comfortable having my car repaired here anymore. In my opinion the prices are extremely high for workmanship that is not worth the extra cost. read more

First before I start saying what needs to be said just want to make it clear this survey is only for the service department. Sales has been great from the beginning. With that being said Oscar and Angel that call themselves a service manager is absolutely the worst people I've met. I purchased a brand new 2022 Nissan Rogue platinum, and have had this in to service 3 times since February of this year. I've had 3 times where I have water coming into my car, and the treatment that I receive from these horrible people is crazy. All I can say is heartless. If you want to have a bad experience go to this service department, but if you want to have no stress stay far away from this location at all cost. read more

DON'T BUY A SENTRA! Nissan has been producing these with terrible quality transmissions(CVT) that breakdown prematurely as did mine since 2010!Unfortunately, if it happens beyond the 60,000 mile warranty, you're out of luck like mine did at 62,000 miles. But it shudn't be our fault they make them so cheap! There are class action lawsuits for 2010-2017 Sentras and they still have been getting away with it. Nissan is not willing to take accountability for their cheap product! The service department sux here! I went to THIS dealership previously (where I purchased the vehicle) to have the weather strip on the rear door replaced due to ungluing and all they could say was, "Sorry, you're out of warranty". What type of customer service is that?? You're vehicles are equipped with cheap materials which should be manufacturer defects and you try to put the blame on your customers?? When I took my car here for transmission issues, again they stated I was out of warranty. That I would have to convince Nissan Corp. to cover the repairs. Three weeks later, Nissan Corp. agreed to cover 70% of the repair & I was stuck with a $1200 bill which was supposedly 30% of it. The bill was not detailed in anyway to prove that the amount was in fact only 30% of the total repair, sounds like a scam to me! Nevertheless, I will be contacting the BBB to hold them accountable for their crappy cars. Never coming here again or purchasing another Nissan vehicle, EVER!!! I wasn't sure if I should come here to get an oil change. I didn't want to be bothered with anyone trying to sale me a new vehicle. I just wanted to come in and get the service that was needed. I pulled up to service and instantly was greeted by a friendly face. Elena was nice and professional. I was surprised that I didn't have to wait too long. As, I was waiting I received a text message with the details of some other minor work that was needed. You can either decline or accept the service right from your phone. It was straight to the point and detailed. I also noticed a lot of the employees were walking around or sitting around each other with NO face mask. No wonder things aren't getting better. I'm happy that Elena was following precautions and wearing her face mask. I was also saved by the bell. A sales guy was approaching me about buying a new car. Last time my husband and I dealt with a dealership many years ago, we were told "The United States sets the prices", and this dealership is right inline with that kind of logic. I saw a car advertised with Cars.com I liked, and we drove 40 miles to go see this car that has been on the lot about 9 months, so we examined it closely! Doing research later it turns out the car needed a big, expensive repair, but correctable under warranty. This was not our first test drive with dealerships, and we always informed them (with no objections): 1. The car needed to be checked out by our mechanic (f.y.i. Car Max gives you 30 days to return the car), and this was agreed to at least 2 times by the manager. 2. No financing 3. No trade-in Next day the salesman called with the news the car was going to get warranty work, reiterated the price as "listed on the web". My husband asked for an out the door price when we returned, to eliminate problems. We believed we were going to buy. Great! (HA!) We returned to pick up the car for our appointment with the mechanic. And when it wasn't offered, asked for the prepared sales memo. BAIT and SWITCH! Of course. Almost $4,000 was added under the guise "Market Valuation Adjustment". We rose to our feet to leave. This stuff is nonsense. The salesman and manager offered to lower it $1,500 (why have a listed prices?). We rose to leave again. Final Actions from manager: 1. He would lose money (not THAT old one!) because we were not financing or trading in a car. And if our mechanic found something wrong we wouldn't buy the car (a really big DUH!". 2. He told us the car had been inspected by the dealer. No again. It had warranty work, no inspection. Besides he knew the car was perfect. 3. Our mechanic could come to the dealership. 4. We could sign the contract, but not pay. And he would tear up the contract if something was wrong with the car after our mechanic looked at it. I'm not a lawyer, but people sign a legal document for a reason! We declined. And in a ridiculous gesture, he tore up the "offer". Smiling, we left the dog and pony show. Need I say avoid these hassles? And don't believe all the fake Google 5 star reviews. They are well, fake! read more

Came into Al Piemonte looking to trade in a car with negative equity. I have been to countless dealers that the finance department were not able to help, especially carrying over negative equity. I had a great experience with repairing my Nissan Altima. The price was great and the service was amazing. Highly recommended.

I came to this Nissan location because of the airbag recall. They charged me gas costs for the courtesy vehicle (I would not have had to drive there if Nissan didn't sell me a car with faulty airbags, they should cover associated costs). Then, one of the service employees broke and removed an item that was on the dash of the vehicle, this item had sentimental value and cannot be replaced. I was not notified of this damage, but noticed it was missing a when I got back in the car. I then spoke to a service manager at this location about being reimbursed for the costs associated with the damage. When the service manager approached me he was not wearing a mask!!! 400k dead from Covid, and the service manager had the gall to be the only person at this facility not wearing a mask. Very unprofessional, I will probably not be going back to Nissan in the future if I can avoid it. read more

I can't say enough about Juan Becerra. My 2017 Sentra was towed to the dealership because I was having acceleration issues. My thinking was it was a simple recall and I couldn't be further from the truth. After further inspection, it was discovered that I had a transmission issue. Needless to say, Juan advised me that they would probably need to keep the vehicle for more than a few days. I told him I needed a Loaner and he made certain that I was well taken care of with a nice 2021 Murano. The issues that my vehicle had have been repaired and Juan made the process very smooth. This place is shockingly ignorant of COVID-19 safety. We came in looking to test drive a car, but within a few moments of sitting down saw that very few employees were wearing masks. Many of them walked right by us without a mask on (not under their chin, just no mask in sight at all). There were also numerous customers without masks on, including a woman sitting at the desk next to us who was talking on the phone the entire time we were in there without a mask on. On our way out, we noticed that there weren't even signs on the door advising that masks are required to enter (per Illinois requirements). We were shocked to see this at an Illinois business given everything that is going on - we've been to other car dealers and they were following the easy safety best practices. We haven't felt that uncomfortable and unsafe since the start of the pandemic and promptly left. Can't imagine how anyone thinks that is acceptable. We will not be back. And to top it all of, we couldn't even hear what the person was saying to us due to the absurdly high volume of the music. read more

My uncle Ronnie was a top salesman for Al Piemonte for years and when I was looking for a quality used car, in this case a Nissan Rogue, I went to them thinking I could get an honest deal. TOTALLY WRONG. I dealt with my salesman, as well as "Neighborhood Guy", yeah right, whatever- Sammy. I was concerned about the key fob as they had only one for my used car and that stuff is seriously expensive. They told me they would contact the previous owner to get the spare, or failing that, Sammy assured me he had a bunch and they could just program one. Naturally, they just wanted the sale. I called several times after purchasing the vehicle and they couldn't get a spare (cost for a new one over $250). "Nothing they could do, sorry". In the meantime, I've put a ton of cash into the vehicle. This is aside from monthly payments and general maintenance, because my certified, pre-owned warranty covers pretty much nothing. read more

I went in this morning at 8am for an oil change. The agent said it would be a 2-4 hour wait. I thought that was ridiculous wait for a 15 minute job and asked the agent if I could get an appointment for later in the day. I thought I could run some errands and return later. The agent then says the next available appointment is 1.5.23!!! WHAT?!?! A 2-4 hour wait, became an 8 day wait on a 15 minute oil change. What's the point of having a warranty if you can't get in to have it serviced. This is the third time I attempt to use their service department and two of them have been a waste of my time. That's a 33% success rate which is horrible for any service department to have. This is not my first poor experience with the Al Piemonte service department, but it will be my last. I will never purchase another car from Al Piemonte since they can't service what they promise to warranty. Don't buy a car from here if you expect them to provide service and can schedule your services a week or more in advance. Fix your garbage service department Nissan. Plenty of other dealers to go to in our area that actually have a good service department. read more

The Mechanics seem to be good but not one other member of the service department is honest, reliable, knowledgeable or courteous.
