Located in the heart of DuPont Circle, Zeleno is a great spot to grab an açaí bowl! Went early on a Saturday and no one was there. The space is cute and welcoming. Split a rainbow Very Berry bowl that was delicious and packed with tons of fruit. Prices are super reasonable and it seems like a great space to have a chill snack or grab breakfast. They have free water which I appreciated (I just wish it had ice in it as it was very warm!) I will definitely be back!
Stopped in here on a really hot day and was so happy we did! The açai bowl was so refreshing and actually very filling as I got the larger size that has a layer of ice right oats and chia seed layer! The chopped almonds and fruit on top was perfectly crunchy!
Beautiful, quaint cafe with healthy food options! I had the peanut butter toast which was incredibly filling. I also had a shot of espresso which was delish. I'd definitely return for a quick bite in Dupont Circle.
Zeleno is a very nice and cozy place. It was warm inside and the staff were just as warm too. I ordered soup because it was cold outside and the soup was hot and warmed my belly. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich as well.
This place is so cute. I love that it's very healthy and has vegan options. They're known for their açaí bowls. I got the island refresher bowl. The largest bowl is actually so much, so I recommend the 16 oz. The blue bass is very interesting like a subtle flavoring. There's alot of nuts on it. The flower is even edible. I wish they put honey on top tho to make it sweet. There's not that many seating but you can work from here. The staff was really quick to make my bowl. I also saw they got sandwiches and salads too.
If you're rolling into the year with a wellness mindset, this coffee smoothie Café will be your friend. They have "power coffees" as they call them with a lot of healthy ingredients. I stopped in for the Bibis Beet Latte and really enjoyed it after my Pilates class. The decor is perfect for a cute photo with your coffee or smoothie. I saw a lot of people studying here so if you're in school or work from home and need a change of scenery, this may be your new favorite spot. The barista's were friendly and efficient. I will be coming back here soon.

It's definitely on the smaller side but there are a few tables in the back for folks to enjoy their coffee and things. I got a latte with oat milk and the Silk Road bowl because the toppings looked yummy (blueberries, coconut, and cacao nibs). I didn't expect for the bowl to look so cute! This was the perfect place for my friend and I to have a casual catch up. So glad I stopped by!

I normally eat outside, but it was chilly, so I opted for inside. Tried to get some work done, but there was a lot of talking going on, so left an hour later.
Although this place was a pretty far and pricey Uber ride from my hotel, it was such an enjoyable treat! My bowl was full of flavor and a great way to start my day! The blueberry muffin was also a delicious treat! I'd definitely suggest trying them out!

What a fantastic smoothie I had at Zeleno! I visited Zeleno for some fuel before marching in the DC Pride Parade. When I went inside I absolutely loved their leafy well with a neon rainbow. I am not sure if they always have the rainbow up or if that was special for Pride Month. Either way it was picture perfect and I loved the aesthetic. Their menu seems very Veg friendly. All of their roasts had honey in it which you could probably ask to be excluded or maybe they can replace it with something. I opted to try the Matcha Gotcha smoothie for a nice energy boost and nourishment. This smoothie hit the spot! It was so creamy, and I loved that there was no gritty taste despite blending in many ingredients. The flavor was the perfect balance of sweetness and it certainly gave me the energy I needed to march in the DC Pride Parade. I would definitely return here to try some more of their menu. The service was great, quality was stellar, and location is perfect being so close to the Dupont metro station.
This is a gem! The shop is small but has a good assortment of smoothies, açaí bowls, coffees, etc. the staff welcomed me quickly and took my order. They let me take the pumpkin bread and drink to a table right away, which I appreciated. They delivered the island refresh bowl a few minutes later and it's delicious!
Zeleno was wonderful! The staff were friendly and the little quaint shop was clean. I appreciated the healthier menu options. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and the rise and shine smoothie. The biscuit, omelette and turkey sausage breakfast sandwich was huge and delicious! If I hadn't been with a colleague I might have eaten every single morsel on my plate. Unfortunate, I had to maintain a modicum of etiquette for the meal. The smoothie was great too, with its nice blend of coffee, banana, chocolate and almond milk. This place is a must visit! read more

We visited Zeleno for coffee and breakfast on a Friday morning in DC. The food here is healthy, with lots of acai bowls and smoothies. While you can get the usual coffee drinks like a latte, cappuccino, Americano, etc, you can also order a power coffee that's a healthier option with espresso. I had a skinny vanilla latte, while my husband had a cold brew and a breakfast biscuit/sandwich. They do offer meat on the breakfast sandwich, so not everything here is vegetarian but plenty of options if you are. We got an excellent value for our money, and the shop is close to the Dupont Circle metro station. Skip the chain/corporate breakfast and coffee shops and hit Zeleno! read more

This is a gem! The shop is small but has a good assortment of smoothies, açaí bowls, coffees, etc. the staff welcomed me quickly and took my order. Stopped here by chance after craving something light + cold in town and this adora-bowl place truly hit the spot! We ordered the Island Refresh and the Silk Road smoothie bowls. Both had pleasantly blended consistencies with delicious fresh fruits and crunchy toppings. I appreciated how the smoothies were not overly sweet and thick. The atmosphere was also very cozy and inviting with modern décor, soothing botanical accents, and a peaceful ambience -- lovely for chatting + contemplating (and wow, is their aesthetic game STRONG!). The team did an awesome job preparing our orders relatively quickly and maintaining a clean interior, which definitely made enjoying the smoothie bowls all the more merrier. Overall, a great lil' shop with great smoothie bowls! read more

On Sunday, I was walking to the Dupont farmers market and passed this spot (across the street). Looked cute (Instagrammable neon sign with swing) and not too busy. Ordered a single-shot oatmilk latte and got just that. Tasty, perfect temp, exactly what I needed for a pick-me-up. Service was a little slow but I blame the large group of girls not paying attention to their order being called out than I blame the staff. Some seating in the back and a couple of tables out front. menu looked good... I'd go back to try out their açaí bowls. read more

I need to franchise this place ... THAT is how amazing it was. I don't know what they put in my hot chocolate as I trusted the barista's suggestion. I know it had cayenne pepper and I was pleasantly surprised how it just added a little more warmth without being Spicy! the peanut butter banana toast was DELICIOUS! It was a thing slice of toast with peanut butter, bananas, strawberries and honey! Can't wait to be back in DC to try more things from here. read more

Came here to enjoy a quick bite/snack before dinner. We ordered the very berry acai bowl, peach ricotta toast, caprese sandwich, and a nitro cold brew. Everything was perfect! I felt like I was eating healthy but not sacrificing flavor. One thing to note is that the peach ricotta toast had honey drizzled on it, so it might be on the sweeter side for some, and possibly not be a favorite for someone who likes more savory foods. I would go again if I was ever in the area and try their other menu items. read more

Needed a quick lunch in the Dupont Circle area and came across this place by chance (and with a little help from Yelp). Excellent veggie burger and coffee. Interior has only a small seating area, but it is really pleasantly decorated, even with some books on shelves. Staff were super nice. They were out of the usual roll they do with the veggie burger, so they wanted to be sure that switching to the gluten free bun at the same price would be okay with me! How nice is that? read more

My experience with Zeleno's food was both expensive and inedible. I ordered the Keto Fuel Bowl and Ocean Blend drink with oat milk for takeaway on Yelp. One star for my food being on time, and the presentation was ok. When I walked inside to grab my food, one single very young-looking boy was working behind the counter serving at least 3-4 people. He handed me my order and I left. When I got to opening my food I noticed my "açaí" bowl was green - there was no evidence of açaí. If you have ever made an açaí bowl, the açaí tends to turn whatever is in the bowl to a dark purple color. The toppings looked fresh, but as soon as I took my first bite, I knew there was no açaí in it. The flavor was awful, nearly inedible, but I gave it a chance anyway. You could only taste the avocado and zucchini. I took another bite and my teeth cracked down on something hard and cold- a giant chunk of ice. As I ate I kept finding more and more chunks of ice. This bowl was absolutely awful, the worst açaí bowl I have ever had. And the prices are ridiculous for what you get. I will be writing to the store to ask for a refund. My Ocean Blend drink tasted okay, not great, and whoever made it clearly forgot to put oat milk in it, which I paid extra for. I will not be returning. read more

Been wanting to check out Zeleno and finally got to try it! So many açaí bowls, smoothies and power coffees available to try. I went with the Ace Açaí Bowl and it was delicious. So refreshing and a great way to start the day. I sat in their seating area and got some work done too with their free Wi-Fi. Overall great place! read more

LOVE Zeleno, and I can't recommend them enough. Everything tastes as good as it looks, and to say their food's instagram-worthy would be an understatement! I'm a carb FIEND so I recommend getting one of their toasts or sandwiches. They're famous for their acai bowls and smoothies as well though! The last time I went, I got their avo toast, peach ricotta toast and their SYMI sandwich. All 3 were amazing. Avo toast: easily one of the best avo toasts I've ever had! Avo, beet spread, and sesame seeds on freshly baked bread? What's not to love. Peach ricotta toast: ricotta and peaches served over whole grain bread, topped with crushed pistachios and a drizzle of Bulgarian raw honey. Perfect for those of you looking for the ultimate mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Light, summery and beautiful. SYMI sandwich: I had no idea I'd love a vegetarian option so much, lol. Stuffed with hummus, olive tapenade, tomato, Bulgarian feta, mixed greens and served between fresh focaccia, this was exquisite. Chef's kiss! Sounds simple, but all the ingredients came together so well. I rarely find myself craving vegetarian dishes, but I'd definitely make the drive back to enjoy this again. I discovered this place via TikTok and I was not disappointed by the food or the design. Being in Dupont circle, the space is limited, however they have a small corner in the back of the location where you can sit and has some cute interior design done. See my rating breakdown below: Ambiance: 4/5 - The corner in the back of the location was small, but cute spot to sit and have your food for a quick bite. It was packed, but not to the point where I felt I needed to leave. Price: 4/5 - This place was normal DC prices and so nothing surprising here. Food: 4.5/5 - I got an acai bowl and the fruits/acai base all felt very fresh. I could taste each ingredient and there was a refreshing taste that definitely made me want to come back. I particularly enjoyed the toasted coconut flakes that topped off the bowl. Service: 5/5 - The server brought the food to us and was extremely friendly when we told her it was our first time there. Her suggestions were helpful and I felt welcomed in Zeleno. I would definitely recommend stopping by here for a fresh acai bowl after a morning workout! read more
