Not bad! I enjoyed my matcha but you can tell it's not high grade ceremonial matcha from the color and taste. The cafe is cute and service was great! I ordered a little pastry which was alright. TLDR: Really enjoyed the matcha flavors but wish the matcha quality itself was higher. The cheese pie and baklava were both also really good! My wife and I were in DC recently and wanted a matcha. We hadn't tried Dolphin cafe yet and thought why not. I ordered the seasonal peach matcha and the wife ordered the strawberry matcha. Both flavors were really good and the syrups used were actually good quality. But I wish they used real fruit puree. I feel like that would really level the drinks up. We also ordered a cheese pie and 2 baklava. The cheese pie reminded us of a similar thing we ate in Greece that was so delicious. Pro tip: get a little honey drizzled over the top of it. The baklava was a pistachio baklava, not a walnut so not the Greek way. But it was very moist and delicious still. The service was quick and friendly. The place itself is cute. VERY small so if you're trying to work remote or study I don't think this is the place. Definitely a crowded feeling, but cute. I got the baklava latte which really is only a baklava on top of a latte with honey drizzled on it. The coffee itself is delicious. I did enjoy it. It wasn't too sweet. I have also tried the tiramisu latte (both with oat milk) and that was good. Toppings were very sweet but coffee had a good taste and not too sweet. Decided to check this place out due to the positive reviews in comparison to other coffee locations in the area. When I look for a coffee shop I try to find places that typically has flavored coffees and not just the basic 3 syrups and 5 diff types of coffee preparations etc. This place did not miss on this, they had a huge selection including some seasonal options. We had the smores and Baklava coffees and for the food we had ham and cheese as well as the biscotti croissant. Customer service was on point in breaking down the different pastries that they offered as it was Turkish influenced. Despite the place being a little smaller, there is a center shared table and additional seats on the opposite sides for more space. Definitely recommended and would revisit when in town. read more

Insane cafe, im truly wow'd. They are true to their coffee and it wakes you up. I got the smores latte with reduced syrups as they do add a bit more, and they made it perfect! They are a class act. The cafe doesnt make you want to leave and im very interested in buying their merch as its 100% cotton. Very tiny spot with kind servers. The lattes are $8-$10 and they sized are larger than the average latte. The tiramisu latte was really delicious and it comes with a lady finger you can dip in the latte. There's about 15 seats total inside so best for a grab and go situation. I stopped by Dolphins Cafe twice on my weekend trip in DC. I found the place on social media and it is hyped up for the right reasons. The cafe seating area isn't huge but there's plenty of seating perfect to sit and get some work done or to enjoy your drink. I loved my strawberry matcha and had to go back for the tiramisu latte which was VERY worth it. As these are specialty drinks the price is a bit on the high end but I do believe they are worth it. This place is so great! Decor is contemporary but nautical but not in a cheesy way. The coffees were all so indulgent and delicious but not too overwhelming. This is a small cramped little café just a block or two from the White House. As a matter of fact it's probably less than 1000 ft.². There is just one communal table in the middle with seating around the perimeter. There are 3 really small tables for 2 to sit at outside. Inside you'll find croissant sandwiches, quiche, even really tasty baklavas. Great place to sit down with some coffee and enjoy their Wi-Fi if you don't mind customers jostling around you.
