It's very cute with a great location. Staff was not at all friendly, but to be honest, they seemed overworked. Cappuccino was absolutely awful, but illy isn't great coffee. Croissant was fine, but nothing special and it would've been nice if it was warmed before serving. Other pastries and look good, but given the experience not sure I'd be back.

Café du Parc has a great location for those attending the National Theater, just a block away. Located in from of a Park with a great indoor and outdoor French ambiance. The waiters are attentive and happy to make recommendations and the drinks are amazing. The food is pretty good as well although I was expecting the onion soup to be denser in caramelized onion flavors. If you are planning to seat outside, carry some change as you might be approached by beggars.

Visited on last trip into DC for Cherry blossoms and Cafe du Parc was on my list, small and adorable and everything we ordered was great.

My friend and I were on Penn Ave for a 5k and had an hour to waste before the race kicked off. We found this coffee spot just a few blocks away from Freedom Plaza and am glad we did. The place is nice, clean and has a good amount of seating. They have beautiful pastries and the chai latte I had was exactly how I like it (creamy and sweet). It looks like they have a restaurant upstairs

We went to this restaurant in Washington, and it was such a great experience. They started by serving us some delicious warm bread with butter it was amazing! Then they brought out our appetizers and main dishes. The soup was excellent I think it was onion soup, and it tasted wonderful. The atmosphere was also very nice cozy, elegant, and welcoming. If I ever travel to Washington again, I'll definitely go back there. Everything was perfect the service was great, the food was delicious, and the whole experience felt really special. I truly loved it!

Saw this place while ona big bus tour and made sure to come back to visit The staff was exceptional! As soon as I walked in, with my elderly mother, we were greeted and was able to take my mother and I to the upper level, which was really neat. They had an elevator to take handicapped or mobility challenged folks to the top floor. Bathroom on the top floor is nice for those without mobility issues. For those with mobility issues, recommend hitting the restroom on the bottom floor before going upstairs for Ease of access. The staff is quite friendly. The food was quite nice and the non alcoholic drinks were really refreshing. Cucumber. Yum. Above everything, the staff is what sold me to come back again. Quiet with soothing environment. I would like to stop back in the evening to get the gist of the experience in the evening as well. 4 stars.

I came here with my son and his roommate after walking DC to view the sights in Dec when it's cold. I figured we could stop in to warm up with a hot beverage and that's what we did. The kids had hot chocolate and I had a latte. There was a bit of a wait with other customers having the same thought it seemed. All of the tables and seating were filled to where it was a challenge to find a seat but we eventually did. It's in a convenient spot right off the street and next to the Willard Hotel with easy in/out access.

We just came here to grab something to drink and we ended up getting hot chocolate. It was perfect. It taste so good on a nice cool day. It was not busy, which means that our drinks were attended to in a reasonable time. Inside is very nice the tile floors and the styling/decoration is pretty cool as well.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and to my surprise, it was not very busy at all. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a couple light dishes while people watching. The food was good- nothing amazing, but service was pretty slow. It took some time for someone to initially come over and also to close out the check.

Café du Parc is a French Bistro/Brasserie located in a semi-detached building at The Willard International Hotel in Washington, DC. It's a handy place to eat if you are staying at the hotel, and you might want to give it a try even if you are not. There's a small grab and go area downstairs where you can get a coffee, sandwich, or pastry. The offerings here are very nice, and compare with high end coffee shops in the area. There's a small dining area downstairs as well, and out front there's outdoor seating that would be nice in suitable weather. Unfortunately, it wasn't available when I visited. Then there's the larger dining areas upstairs which seat more people than one would think. The menu is limited, but adequate. One can find some good choices. It should be noted that the menu and pricing are the same as the Round Robin Bar in The Willard, so you can eat at either place. If you are an International Ambassador, you might get a free breakfast amenity. It's worth taking advantage of that if you do. The breakfast/brunch offerings were great, and included enough variety for a few days. The quality was great and the service fast and attentive. It's a bit pricy, but pretty much in keeping with quality establishments in the area.

Came to cafe du parc and it was overall a good experience. It's a very cute upscale French bistro vibes where you're able to get your bang for your buck. My recommendation is to get the garlic butter mussels. They are so buttery and the amount you get is worth the money. The bread on the side is so crispy and buttery as well. There were a few Sandy mussels at the bottom so just beware but exceeded expectations. Had the Willard burger which was not super special. It was a regular burger (needed just more sauce and wish the burger was juicer) but the fries were incredible. They were so skinny yet crispy. The chocolate cherry macaron was a great dessert to share between two people. The amaretto ice cream packs a punch and there is a good balance between the cherry and chocolate (and it doesn't taste artificial at all). Our server Adilia was incredible. She made sure me and my friends needs were met, and was so funny.

Stopped here for lunch after a morning tour of the White House. It is a large restaurant and we thankfully were quickly seated despite not having a reservation. The restaurant has cute French bistro vibes. I really enjoyed my moules frites and thought it was a pretty large portion. My family members ordered burgers and they all enjoyed them. Service was just fine. This restaurant is one of the better lunch options near the White House and I'm glad we found it!

Inside the Willard near the White House is a small cafe with coffee drinks, pastries, and more. Before seeing the White House 2024 holiday decorations, we stopped in for lattes and breakfast. The hazelnut latte was average, but the spinach and feta croissant was good! My seven-year-old daughter LOVED their hot chocolate with whipped cream.

The ribeye and New York strip were very good. The butchers steak I got for my son and he didn't really like it, it was lacking flavor. If you do anything when you go, please make sure to get the biscuits. Hands down THE BEST BISCUITS I've ever had lol. They are the most flaky and buttery biscuits, you can count each layer that these have. Pro tip is to ask for butter and the house made jam. The pimento cheese is good with them but it becomes a little too decadent. Overall I'm happy we made the decision to come here, we will be back soon.

We were originally drawn in because we were excited to try their homemade Pop-Tart! Accommodating & Kind: Our waiter was a very nice gentleman. The kitchen was more than happy to make small adjustments to our orders for dietary needs, which we deeply appreciated. Kudos to the Staff: The waitstaff does a phenomenal job, especially considering the clientele. This area tends to attract a lot of pompous professionals, and we witnessed customers being incredibly rude to the staff on two back-to-back visits. A Note on the Crowd: For example, we were in on a Thursday afternoon and watched a large group of business professionals completely ignore their server. They wouldn't even acknowledge them or say thank you. It felt like olden times, where the staff were treated like servants to a king or queen and were just expected to take abuse. It was really bad. A Quick Note on the Checkout Process Rushed Payment: The payment process felt a bit rushed. The server hands you a small payment machine and quickly pushes you to complete the transaction right then and there. Keep an Eye Out: We aren't the type of people to scrutinize a bill closely--if it's right around the expected amount, we don't worry about it. However, the lady at the table right before us was loudly complaining about a service fee on her bill, and she ended up not leaving a tip at all because of it. Combined with how fast they push the payment machine on you, it might be worth taking a quick second to look over your total if you are the type of person who likes to verify the fine print. Come on people, do better! Overall Impression It is an expensive spot, but the food quality, cleanliness, and excellent service from the waitstaff make it worth a visit. The staff handles a tough crowd beautifully!

The restaurant business is tough, so I drafted this review with a bit of sadness. I had a good time…read morein large part due to the atmosphere and my date (my girlfriend). That said, a couple missteps that should not have occurred took this review into the negative realm. Let's start with the positive. This appears to be a great new addition to the neighborhood, and I hope it is supported. The appetizers were delicious and nicely presented. The pistachio feta with grilled pita was tasty and interesting. The halloumi with orange marmalade was as well. The hostess was engaging and friendly. The atmosphere was calming with a touch of casual refinement. One of the entrees was delicious (the scallops and grits). I'd order all three items mentioned so far, again. The negative. The second entree was the short rib. It was tender and.... Wow, way too salty. A shame because it was otherwise well cooked and nicely plated. But whoa. When the hostess came by, my girlfriend kindly said it was a bit salty. I "refined" her answer and said she was being nice, but it was very salty. The hostess went to note this for the kitchen (a positive for her), and because we are on the first floor outside the kitchen window I heard the conversation. The chef responded that he knew what had happened. Earlier when preparing the short rib someone (in his words) blasted it with salt. What this tells me is that they knew they'd made something close to inedible but served it anyway. At the end of our meal we had leftovers of the two apps and the short rib. We asked for a bit of extra pita to take home and they provided. Then the bill arrived. Not only was there no adjustment for the inedible short rib, but they charged us $2 for the pita. The least they could have done was just given us the pita. Ah well. Those two missteps; 1) serving a known and improperly prepared entree, and 2) not doing something to make good when reported, have led to this sadly negative review for a place that could and should have gotten a positive one. Hopefully someone there will see this, and the experience and review will be a learning opportunity that will help them thrive.
