I bartend and have been having some sciatic and Lower back pain over the past few weeks and I had almost come to my wits end until I had found this place. I pass by this place every day but I would never have guessed the peace and serenity that it could offer. After walking into the calm and beautifully lit room I was immediately set at ease. Amber greeted my pleasantly with a nice glass of water and personally talked to me about the problems I had been having and how to address them. She was professional and attentive and listened to every concern I had. The massage studio was tranquil and extremely clean with wonderful aromas and an inviting warm table. The massage was in all honesty one of the best I have had in my life; from beginning, middle to end. She intuitively found all of the problem spots in addition to making me feel relaxed and safe despite recent injuries. Much of the pain had disappeared and the rest of the day was made more pleasant by the glow of the wonderful experience, Yerba mate tea, and glass of Malbec. This was my first "spa experience" in Austin, Texas, so I went into the experience with an open mind; they got this new thing set up that requires each client to text the front desk upon arrival, and you need to wait until the last client was finished before you could enter - I thought they did go out of their way to make sure "social distancing" is diligently followed in this regard. My therapist Amber listened to me very carefully before the treatment began, it has been two months since I had my last "in-person massage" due to the pandemic, I felt a relaxation that was long "over due" and 90 minutes felt like the perfect length for my body to soak up the massage. Hot stones were nice and soothing, the overall treatment was very grounding. I had a few minutes to chat with the therapist after the session was over, turned out they appreciated the jokes I brought from California - to me, any Californian could use a little bit of the "grounding effects" of Austin from hyper-creativity on the West Coast. A GREAT way for couples to 'Zen Out'.... My fiance had been experiencing horrid pains in his upper back and shoulders, largely due to his work in the medical field taking care of patients. I wanted to surprise him, and take him for a couple's massage since we had previously done one during an out of town mini-vacation. My search began, and after reading the yelp reviews, I decided on Zen Blend. We arrived for our appt on Tues Jan 26th, 2016, (or rather I did, as he was running behind in typical Austin traffic). Luckily, they said not to worry, as we were the last appt of the evening. Once he got there, we were taken upstairs to experience the two-person sauna. It was very relaxing, and a nice quiet place to spend time together. The only negative was the ipod/speaker system was not working, so it was 'really' quiet, haha. Once done, we went down and met our two therapists. I had Annette, and he had Amber, and neither of us could even think about complaining. They were some of the sweetest young ladies we've met, and were very professional. Their skills were quite good, and we both felt very relaxed post-massage. We were both very happy that they listened to us, and spent a large amount of time on our necks and backs. (I still survived the time spent on my legs and feet as well, despite my ticklishness, lol). We will definitely be returning here again, though I think next time we want to try their other location to see what the water tank is like. (Though we wouldn't get to spend the time together just due to the way that experience is set up, so who knows). I highly recommend these folks. I didn't want to take him to a 'chain store', and wanted the personal attention and friendliness that a boutique massage place offers, and I certainly found that here.
