This was the first dental office I picked on my own with my new insurance, and I was honestly stressed about the whole process - finding a good provider, understanding coverage, and hoping it would be a positive experience. From the very first visit, I felt completely at ease. The front office staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, and organized. They helped explain everything clearly and made the coordination with my insurance completely painless. My hygienist is fantastic - super friendly, and always makes thoughtful conversation throughout the cleaning. Dr. Mohsen is also kind, professional, and explains things clearly without ever making you feel rushed or overwhelmed. You can tell the whole team genuinely cares about their patients. I always leave feeling happier than when I walked in, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about going to the dentist! And the little goody bag with dental supplies after the visit is such a thoughtful touch. I personally am NOT good at the dentist, I have a hard time, and they're all so patient and calm with me. They are super accommodating to those who have issues (modifying how they go about filling a cavity for me without risking quality). I personally have a bone to pick with dentists who are very patronizing when they realize it's been a while since you've been there or make you feel bad about the state of your dental health. Not everyone can even afford to go! This is NOT the case here!!! They are truly understanding and never make me feel bad. Only encourage good habits and don't make a big deal out of it when you have a cavity. In terms of the front desk. They are SO wonderful. They walk me through pricing and give me all the numbers I need. They also work directly with insurance and are overall extremely helpful. One of the hygienists actually remembered so many things about me (I had met her once and it had been a year and a half since!) I was shocked! Truly the best place to go. I then went to an oral surgeon who refused to remove them because there was nothing wrong with them. A lot of the time spent with Dr. Chang was her telling me what was wrong with my teeth. I have an overbite and she was insistent on doing something about it for my long-term health of my mouth which is fine, but she kept asking if I have to consciously close my mouth even though I said it's not an issue. She told me that I had cavities on all four of my wisdom teeth and needed to remove them before the cavity spread to neighboring teeth. I ended up making an appointment with an oral surgeon close to where I live and he took an x-ray and said my wisdom teeth were perfect and he didn't see any cavities, but even if there were any, they were minor enough that I didn't need to do anything yet. They also recommended I have a cleaning three times a year to keep an eye on some slight gum recession - not sure if that is the standard protocol - Insurance issues - Did not take my insurance and did not tell me till my exam was almost done and the receptionist gave me false information about my insurance. On Zocdoc I filtered to dentists who took my insurance, then booked an appointment with Dr. Chang. I had my x-rays taken and my cleaning was done, then the receptionist came in saying that my insurance was on a fee schedule and told me my insurance covered very little and asked me if I wanted to continue with the exam. She told me that it would cost the same at any other dentist, so I said sure let's just continue it. So I was charged $450 for something that I expected to be free, although they allowed me to pay $350. I found out later that Dr. Chang is out of network, and that is why it was on a fee schedule. I contacted Zocdoc to report false information, and Zocdoc said it is supposed to be maintained by the individual dentist office, but it is now fixed - Scheduling issues - I was supposed to have an appointment on Monday, and Friday they called and left a voicemail to cancel. It is my fault for not checking my voicemail, but they said they texted me when they did not
