Def one of the best matcha/coffee shops I've been to! The menu is simple but good. Prices are a little high but it worth trying it. There's so much space and you can feel zen in every corner. They have a balcony and inside sitting. Theres a little shop inside that seeks the best vintage things like watches, lighters and more. There's parking In front of 1902 that's free for 1 hour. The vibes are immaculate, but that's the main highlight. It's better for a chill hangout with friends to chat rather than to study because the wifi sucks, there's not many outlets, seating isn't super optimized for working and since other people are loud, it's a bit hard to focus. I usually don't mind loud noises, but there was a fairly large group hosting their meet and greet or smth here so it got quite difficult to focus. I tried the matcha with vanilla and the earl grey chiffon cake. The cake is good flavor wise, but quite dry and for 5 dollars for 2 bites no thanks. Matcha was actually solid but the vanilla erased a lot of the matcha flavor. Service wasn't the most welcoming. But I liked the cute thrift venmo rack they have in front. read more

What a VIBE. I'm obsessed with the curated vibe they've laid out in this unique venue at St. Paul Square. It was so peaceful and a beautiful day when I came this Saturday morning- the roads empty, st. Paul square peaceful and Zen Haus curating all the music vibes inside. I love how there is ample amount of seating inside the shop, on the balcony of their shop, and outside throughout the square. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was delightful- the syrups are made in house so it was fresh and you could tell! When I heard of a matcha shop that's open as late as this place was, I was super excited! We drove 20 minutes away to arrive at 9PM. Saturday night, the shop was empty, staff mopping the floors. I do wish we were a little more welcomed. As I mentioned, we drove from a while away and it was our first time. Would have loved to get a little run down of the place or get asked if it was our first time for some recommendations. Our first order, we ordered an ube coconut oatmilk matcha and a mango cloud matcha. Both iced. The ube coconut was very meh. I was hoping to be more excited by it. The mango cloud was pretty good. Both could have been mixed a little better. They were both very thick and grainy. We then made another order of 2 hot lavender matchas with oatmilk. Hoping this was a no brainer, I was a little disappointed. There was way too much lavender syrup in both of them and just felt rushly made. Love the idea of a late night place to get a soothing matcha but overall, I wasn't impressed. Loved the athletic and layout. It was very clean. I'm sure it's a cute spot to study and hang out. Recently went to a matcha and pilates event here and got a matcha lavender latte and woww it was delicious! The decor is cute and I love the outside porch it is so laid back and comfortable. What initially drew me in was the matcha that I kept seeing all over TikTok. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. I went on a busy day when they were hosting a night market, so that may have played a role, but the drinks were disappointing. I tried the Ube Matcha and the Mango Matcha, and both were very watered down. I couldn't really taste the matcha, ube, or mango, and the texture was clumpy. While the space itself is inviting and has a lot of potential, the drinks left a lot to be desired. I'd consider coming back for the atmosphere or an event, but not for the matcha. read more

I got the Busy Bee Smash, which was delicious and nutritious! It was also very pretty to look at, which I always appreciate. It is a great spot to get some work done or to just relax for a bit with friends. There is free wifi if you need it. There are lots of nooks inside to chill and do work, as well an outdoor area with seating as well. Zen Haus is a lovely hang out tucked away from the rest of the city. I stumbled upon it trying to get some with done at Vice Coffee, only to find Vice had closed and it's sign suggested Zen Haus! Walking through the front door felt like stumbling into someone's living room or yoga studio, the strong smell of incense was unexpected. The gal at the counter was super helpful and patient and helped me navigate the menu, wifi, and overall layout of the place. I ended up on the back patio with a cup of iced lemon balm + peppermint tea (custom blend! Delicious and refreshing). The place has really creative and chill vibes. The barista was very friendly and the matcha latte he suggested was excellent (iced with lavender). I've been here a couple of times before and I've never had any issues the service was good as well as the drinks.The workers are always friendly and the space is very cute and cozy. Which is why I was so shocked from my recent experience. The other day (6/11/24) I brought a friend to show them this cool spot. We each ordered a drink and were waiting for an hour and a half for one beverage. Three people came in after us and all got served before we did. The lady in front of us in line had to leave without her drink because she was late to work from the extremely long wait. She requested a refund since she did not receive her drink and they were unable to give her one as there was no manger on duty. The employee ran upstairs to get help from their sister store and was gone for 15 minutes making the wait even longer. This was so strange because I've never had any issues with this shop. But there was no excuse for the 90 minute wait when there was only a few orders. I've worked in the service industry for years and the employee was not trained enough to be working by herself as well as the fact that there was no manger on duty! I understand it's a smaller shop but if things were more organized the experience would have been a lot better. Hopefully next experience will be better! read more
