The baristas were sweet and got my drink out with in two minutes and let me choose my own picture to place on the latte

Really lovely coffee shop hidden on the outside edge of the Pearl. Lovely little spots to sit and nice decor. Our barista was super nice as well. All drinks come with free customization of the foam top, and you can upload your own pictures too! Espresso in my latte was pretty good and the matcha was on par for the city. will take friends here again!

Cordura Coffee is a little secret gem nestled at The Pearl Historic District! If you love matcha and love iced coffee, Cordura Coffee is the perfect place for you. This amazing local business is located right across from Best Quality Daughter. The coffee shop itself is pretty small, so I would recommend just grabbing your coffee to go. They make everything from scratch and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. A really cool thing about them is that they have this print machine where they can customize your order with whatever photo, cartoon or logo that you'd like which makes your order extra special. If you are very into instagrammable moments, then you must definitely make sure to get a print in your order.

This is one of the best matchas I've had from a cafe before! I was in SATX for the weekend and of course had to find matcha. Surprisingly, Cordura did not come up on my initial search in tiktok but Yelp came through again! I ordered the iced vanilla/brown sugar matcha. The matcha flavor was strong and earthy (just how I like it) and was balanced with the sweetness of the vanilla/brown sugar. It also came with a delicious cold foam. But the best treat of all - you can print whatever picture on your drink!!! My friend was running the half marathon so I chose a picture of us together! It was so cute! Would 100% recommend for your matcha fix.

So cute!! I needed some coffee before I headed to an event downtown. This coffee shop was so cute and it was such a nice surprise to see the decoration on the foam. I had no clue that this was an option. The coffee itself was so delicious and I am so glad I saw it on my way! I believe it was the coucou coffee. All of the workers were kind and the coffee came out super fast! I over heard someone ask if they could get a custom photo on their foam and they have a little QR code that you can scan. Super cool concept!

Small cafe but stays pretty busy. Lots of choices to choose from including holiday specials. We got Valentine specials, Bee Mine Latte and Red Velvet latte. My friend got the Cou Cou latte. Tastes good, more of a novelty, beans were pretty light. ! Staff are all friendly. It's cute that you can upload any picture or choose from their stock images on the machine. Heads up, the image makes a grainy feel when you sip the drinks. A bit weird but the print is cute!

Loved Cordura coffee! Located in the Pearl. Small little coffee shop. Great staff! Love how you can personalize your coffee with a picture. They have pictures you can choose from or you can upload one of your own. I was also shocked at the price! I thought it would cost a little more with the personalization but it was actually cheaper than a lot of other coffee shops. Plus the coffee tasted great! I got my iced vanilla latte. It will definitely be my go to when in the area.

This Shop is so so cute right here by the pearl, service was definitely welcoming nice and for sure the five star service! The coffee that me and my boyfriend got was super delicious. I got a Matcha strawberry with 2% milk and the Cupid lover coffee with oat milk. I'm most definitely gonna be a regular at this coffee shop because the flavor is definitely super fresh I usually go to Starbucks, but Starbucks is kind of getting old for me but this place is convenient down the street for me affordable and the fact that you could design your coffee with your own picture on top with no extra charge is even better. there's also some cute little tables inside that you can chill on and even a little outside table as well.

What an adorable coffee shop in the Pearl area! I love the decorations with milk/foam they put on top of each drink! The employees are super nice and welcoming the moment you walk in too. The parking outside is pretty easy and free (street parking right outside of the entrance and parking right across the street near the apartment complex). They had some pastries on the front table that looked great. Will have to come back and try them. I also like the condiment/water station in the corner. Not many tables inside or outside given the small size, but lovely experience overall!

It was a mix of impressions here. I arrived at 7.10am. Door open .. no one to be found - then a young lady rushes in as I was about to leave. A young man comes down from upstairs. The cleaning supplies were everywhere ... they were just not ready for the day to start. Yet she was super friendly. She made my drink quickly ... brown sugar vanilla iced matcha. It was good! They did have any baked goods out at the time. I will probably go back when they have a little more time to get organized.

Came here this week for a yelp event and could not wait to come back. The Matcha is delicious and they have very good coffee, but what does this place apart is the ability that they have to print on top of the coffee foam with the actual pictures that you upload. Good coffee, plus awesome images equals unforgettable experience!

Finally got a chance to try this new quaint coffee shop nestled into the edge of the Pearl for a yelp elite event. Tried the strawberry matcha which was FULL of flavor and I've been craving it since I had it! My family members had some other iced coffees (not sure what exactly) but they raved about their drinks as well. We all loved the variety of images that were available for the coffee toppers. So cute and creative ! The cold foam was delicious, too. Cons: -not much seating -could get a little congested in there during peak times -parking isn't the best for in&out coffee grabs , kinda gotta get lucky -only 2 pastries to choose from Pros: -very friendly staff -pastries were buttery & delicious -cozy vibes My family & I can't wait to go back !!

Vanilla brown sugar matcha with oat milk

Had the opportunity to grab a matcha for the Yelp Hot matcha summer event. Ended up getting the Vanilla brown sugar matcha with oat milk. Very very good! Not too sweet, and the vanilla brown sugar doesn't overpower the matcha, they compliment each other well. Almost like a bowl of oatmeal lowkey. Cafe is super cute and the barista was nice and made check in easy. Will definitely be back! Thanks again Yelp San Antonio

They were nice enough to warm the cookie for me, and it had that "fresh out of the oven" smell and gooeyness. They asked me if I wanted my drinks for here or to-go and I said for here and they still served me in to-go cups, which I thought was weird. The cortado was not my favorite. It was bitter and acidic and the foam was looking a little yeasty. The mocha latte also had very little flavor to it, tasting like hot milk. I had difficulty finishing both drinks. Later I noticed they were using What's Brewing beans, and it made sense. I know many folks love WB? coffee beans, as it's a bit of a local darling, but more often than not I don't enjoy cortados made with their beans. Dirty dishes and cutlery sat on a couple of tables long after folks had left. I don't want to make assumptions, because there WAS a designated staff member for cleaning/wiping things down, but maybe those two evaded her. There's a sign on the wall that says, "I'm not for everyone," and boy are they right. They also stopped playing one of my favorite Radiohead songs (right in the middle of it!) to play Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. Now while I'm not deducting stars for THAT (because that's just downright petty), I can't help but feel unimpressed by my most recent visit. At least the cookie was delicious. Perhaps a third visit is in order. As they say, third time's a charm, right?

I've always had a great experience at Local Coffee Founders at The Pearl. Their cold brew is a reliable thirst quenching caffeinated option if you're in the area, and they offer all of the coffee shop staples you'd expect. During peak hours, this isn't the coffee shop I'd come to for relaxation or to get some work done on my laptop, the interior is small, seating is limited, and the ambient noise is louder than you'll find in other places. They're dog friendly, but I would recommend going with someone that can wait outside while you order or vice versa. Service has always been fairly good, but you'll definitely want to listen closely for them to announce your order is ready. There's ample seating outside in the adjacent courtyard and The Pearl District in general. I like to get coffee here when I'm already in the area, especially during the weekend markets, but this isn't the place I'd come to get coffee otherwise. As with most businesses at The Pearl you're going to be paying a comparative premium to the cost of similar goods elsewhere. Things worth knowing ahead of time: Ample parking at The Pearl, cost varies based on the time and day of the week though. I believe it's still free weekdays before 3pm, and always free for the first 30 minutes. Expect to walk a bit regardless of where you park, as there is no parking directly adjacent to the cafe.

I haven't been to a CIA restaurant since I went to the one in Napa many years ago. We arrived around noon and were seated immediately as not many people were dining there except for a party of about 8 people in one table and 2 people in a bar top table in the other room by the pastries. A couple of people came in to buy pastries to go. Kiana was our student server and explained the concept. They're only open from February til April for that particular semester and in August for another semester with students operating both front and back of house in the kitchen. The proceeds from the restaurant sales goes towards the Students' Graduating Fund to help with the costs of schooling. The students can experience serving customers and cooking. The chef has a Basque background so his menu is French-Spanish inspired according to Kiana. My friend and I thought this was a great cause! We perused the menu but I zeroed into the Queen Vol Au Vent because it reminded me of the Chicken A La King in Pastry Shells dish I used to make when we used to have big family Christmas parties. I wanted to see their version. I asked Kiana what the pastry shells were filled with since the menu says it's filled with the "Chef's choice Velouté" and she said chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce. Perfect! My friend got the Egg Croissant & Petit Salade with a side of Bacon & Home Fries. While they were preparing our dishes, I walked up to the pastry case to see what they had to offer. They had cookies, Raisin Bread rolls, Conchas, Manchego & Sausage Scone, Alfajor Dulce de Leche, a Passion Chocolate dessert, fruit tarts, Napoleon, Baguettes and some bagged items: Palmiers, Chocolate coated Nuts and Toffee. I asked one of the chefs how much the bag of Toffee cost and she said $3.80 so I said I'll buy a bag. My friend was curious to see what they had so she also picked up a bag of Toffee. My friend also ordered a cup of brewed coffee. Our dishes came and I noticed how huge my friend's Egg Croissant looked! It was nicely laminated and the egg filling looked nice and creamy. The bacon was thickly sliced and my friend said there was a slight sweetness, perhaps maple? She gave me a piece and it was pretty tasty, meaty and wasn't greasy, nor salty. My Queen Vol Au Vent wasn't quite as big as I thought it would be but the chicken filling was ample. The Petit Salade on the side were just dry greens and wasn't a very big portion either. It could've used more dressing as it was lacking moisture. Perhaps some sliced Heirloom Cherry tomatoes would've been nice to accompany the dry pastry shell Vol Au Vent dish and add a pop of color too. When we were paying our bill, Kiana said the bagged Toffees were on the House since they just opened so we were pleasantly surprised and thankful! Another server asked my friend if she'd like more coffee or if she'd like it in a to-go cup so she took that option. I noticed the students were clearing out the pastries and bread so I asked Kiana what they did with the excess, unsold pastries? She said they take inventory, donate or throw them away except for the bread which is frozen and sold the next day. We told her we hoped it was given away since they're perfectly fine and for a good cause. There was an instructor's birthday today so the students and staff sang "Happy Birthday" by the kitchen. That was nice. We paid our bills and before leaving I used the co-ed restroom which was very clean and spacious. We sat outside so they could buss our tables and we continued talking outside. Can't wait to come back again before the semester ends!

Although it is small, it's well-designed and well-laid out. The staff is really sweet and patient if it's your first time visiting. The breakfast croissant sandwich is the perfect amount of food, not to mention a well-balanced meal. The lamination is just proper- a buttery, flaky crunch. If you plan on getting goodies from the bakery, they can take your dine-in check and adjust the price to add those items. The variety can be a bit overwhelming but trust your gut. There's nothing terrible, since the quality of the ingredients and technique were on point. My favorite was the white chocolate pretzel cookie, so I'd like to return and try the other flavors. I love that a portion of your bill also funds the scholarship program, which makes you feel good about the entire experience.
