Went and had a full set of acrylic nails done on Saturday the 23rd. Not even 48 hours later and 3 are already off..

Always great service and nails every time I come! Calming atmosphere and friendly people here...if I happen to break a nail in between manicures they always repair it and re-do my nail without question or usually even a charge. Always use sanitized tools that they pull out of a sealed pack. Love this place! read more

Zen Nail Spa made for a fantastic nail salon experience! The environment is especially clean, well decorated, with soothing, classical tunes playing throughout the salon. Visited Zen the day after New Years. Nice atmosophere beautiful furnishings. Turned out not so good. I have a redo on gel nails. Beautiful when I left. The operator did nick my skin a number of time. By the time I got home my fingers were burning and itching. It continued to get worse over the night and the next day. After ready I realized my finger tips were burned from the UV dryer. Too long in the dryer. Now 2 weeks later finger tips still red and itchy. They are pealing for the second layer skin ad numb. Take care with the dryer. It can easily get Uv Burn read more

Had a very nice first time pedi experience here. I came in on a busy Saturday without an appointment. They took me in right away without any wait time. Pedi was done beautifully, they cleaned all my dead skin (which is not the case in many of the salons), and finished with a nice massage. I do think it was a little too speedy for a pedi but it's still worth going. A huge plus is the decor of the place and they keep it very clean as well. read more

The procedure should be the EXACT same for every client (with the same polish request) Depending on who you get will determine your experience. I have had a workers destroy my nail by drilling and prying off my sns with tools to take the "easy-fast way out." Where I had to tell them they made my nails look awful and destroyed by them being lazy. However, I've also had a worker do amazing and took my sns the proper soak way. I think this different procedure for how ever the worker feels like doing it is very unprofessional. read more

Always had an exceptional experience here until yesterday. Julie did my nails, and there were bubbles in my gel manicure and a particularly sharp, unsanded nail. She did not do the hot gloves before she did the manicure, and re-used obviously dirty utensils. Afterwards she blew the dust all over me. The worst part was that my pedicure was rushed and I had to completely redo it when I got home. It was sticky and the color was uneven in many places. Will not be coming back. So unhappy. read more

This is the only place I will go from now on to get my nails painted in gel color. I use to go to Lava nails in Athens because it was closer to home. I no longer go there because my nails would peel off or chip after 3 to 4 days. I was referred to Zen Nails by a co worker and I am glad she gave me the suggestion. The receptionist was nice, and the place has a nice atmosphere. However, my nails look like a five-year old painted them. They were so splotchy, with many spots that didn't have glitter. And when I *politely* asked if the technician could fill in those spots he was SO rude. Oh, also--while hastily filing my nails with an electric tool, a piece of my fingernail hit me directly in my eye. Instead of apologizing, he laughed. They were vary lazy and rushed through getting them done. Me and my friend went and both of us are unhappy we both got different people and both came out messy. Please ready carefully! My experience was good, but I paid for it twice. How do I mean that one may ask? I paid them 55.00 for a pedicure, and contracted Onychomycosis. It's called: Onychomycosis (on-i-ko-mi-KO-sis). But most people know it by its street name: NAIL FUNGUS - an infection of one or more of the nails that if left untreated can spread beyond the feet, especially in people with a weak immune system, diabetes or other medical conditions. Symptoms are: Thickened Brittle, crumbly or ragged Distorted in shape Dull, with no shine A dark color, caused by debris building up under your nail There are many ways in which a person can contract a fungal infection. But the least expected culprit, according to health experts, are the clipping, buffing and cutting tools used by your friendly, neighborhood manicurist in your friendly, neighborhood beauty salon or nail parlor. Contact with unclean equipment is how most patrons of nail salons get painful fungal infections on their fingers and toes - infections that sometimes require antibiotics and even surgery to correct. My podiatrist from the VA said that it most likely that I have contracted it from here. The UV sterilizer does not kill fungus only bacteria is what I also learned from her as well. Now, I'm on medication for this that is harsh on your liver with awful side effects. I am not one to complain, but I have never had this happen before. The one thing I love to do I cannot do for a year. It's treatable but I'll have it for the rest of my life is what the doctor told me. Once you're exposed to it that is it. You can get re-occurring infections. I've always said ,"If you don't take care of your feet, they'll take care of you in not in a nice way either." Now, I cannot do that one thing that de-stresses me. I've have had many pedicures in the past from various places I was stationed at as an Active Duty hospital corpsman. The only thing that can kill fungus is bleach which I note that they didn't use to clean their bowls and no Lysol to disinfect the area or seat due to the high volumes of clients, and the rush to get them in/out. I've worked in the medical field for 10+ years that isn't one thing you can just skip over. Cleanliness is dire! A de-greaser ,or all purpose cleaner isn't going to cut it! I put this long review on here, because I want to warn people. I care about others health! I don't want them to suffer like I am currently. I came to this place because of all the high-star reviews. I support small businesses, but, frankly, I think the state should be called for a surprise inspection. read more

Always liked Zen was my go to salon but will probably change. One lady has done my nails twice and insists on doing one hand/foot at a time. No drying time in between 4 coats of polish so therefore they never dry and are ruined in the next hour. $50 for nails that never dry and look bad before you go out that evening is too much. Am afraid I will go somewhere else as I hate to insist on not having one particular person. read more

I used to go to Zen all the time. However, the quality is very inconsistent based on who you get. A lot of times my nails would be uneven and the person would make me bleed while doing my manicure. There are much better places in Cleveland with cheaper prices and better service. read more

The service was despicable. I was getting married, so I called a month in advance to make a reservation. I spoke to someone on the phone on three separate occasions and gave them exactly how many people and what services would be needed. They looked perturbed when my group of 10 arrived. They never asked who the bride was, which was unfortunate because I should have gotten the best service. Usually when you book a mani/pedi you pay a discounted combined service price. No, not here. You will pay full price for each individual service. We paid for a $38 remove calluses pedicure. My beautician didn't even use the tool that removes calluses!! I don't think he even checked my cuticles on my toes. He didn't paint the edges of the nails at the end, so they began chipping day one of my honeymoon. Then I asked in advance if they could do a specific design on my ring fingers and they assured me they could. Not only did they charge extra for my design, but they did a horrendous job. Instead of flowers they looked like starfish. My manicure was barely a manicure. He did cut my cuticles, but he never lotioned or massaged my hands. When I asked if he could thin out my French tip, he was not very happy. They were my wedding nails, and I was not pleased. I would not recommend going here. read more

I'll start by saying I've been to this salon several times and have been happy with the service. My last visit I got a gel French manicure and after 3 days the white tips turned completely brown. Which from my research, is carelessness on their part. I went back in today to ask them to fix it and they were willing to redo the gel in an all over color. The lady who did my nails was rude and complained the entire time. She rushed and did a less than acceptable job. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and quality. Literally the worst acrylic nails I've ever paid for! All oft nails are different shapes, they're lumpy and the op of my nail that was replaced is thicker then it is at the base. Do yourself a favor and go to a different salon in town. They rush you as if they're busy and leave you with a terrible outcome, I will never be back. read more
