TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! I came in to get a soak off and a full gel x set because the day before I got an acrylic set at another salon and the application was all wrong (acrylic on my cuticles/scraped with the drill a few times). I told this lady about what happened the day before as we analyzed my nails and told her to be careful around my cuticles/skin bc I was scraped a few times. She agreed to be careful and that she would fix my nails so I felt good about it. Fast forward to the soak off and the first immediate red flag was that she kept trying to find a way to pop off my nails. (Mind you I got them done the DAY BEFORE so they weren't even worn down to where that could've worked.) I told her I did not want her to pop them off and that they could just soak. She refused to just let my hands soak for the proper amount of time and kept taking them out every 3 mins to drill. Fine no problem I know this is how some salons do it for time sake. Then she hit my skin with the drill and I was actively bleeding. Like not a small break in the skin it was a whole scratch with blood. Instead of treating where she cut me, she continued to try to put my nail back in the acetone. I told her multiple times that it was burning. I had to ASK her to put something on it to stop the bleeding. After that I told her I no longer wanted the full set, I just wanted to finish the soak off because at this point, my nails need to heal before I do anything else. She then CONTINUES TO TRY TO POP THE TIP OFF THE NAIL THAT IS ALREADY BLEEDING. I asked her is there a particular reason she couldn't just drill the remaining acrylic off? And she said "I'm popping it off bc the acrylic is thick"... so she tries again and I literally feel my natural nail split from her trying to wedge the other tip between my nail and the acrylic. It hurt so bad I pulled my hand back as a reflex. At that point it just told her nevermind and left. Worst experience ever. If I could give 0 stars i would. I recently went back to Zen nails, because I needed to get My nails done, for My Engagement pictures. So I wanted to go somewhere I trusted. I also wanted to change it up and get the dip powder, because I have found it's better on My nails and last longer, and I have to say, it's so Worth it! 45 for the Dip powder and a manicure. Can't beat that. I also took My Future Mother in Law with me. She loved it as well and probably will go back. This shop is always clean, the people are always friendly and willing to help. I never have a problem when I go in. They always have me leaving completely satisfied with what I paid for. One of the things that sets them apart from other nail salons is, there rewards program. After your 4 manicure or pedicure, your 5th one is 5 dollars off, and I love that! I just think that's super unique! I HIGHLY recommend this nail spa to anyone wanting a Manicure or Pedicure! Just got a pedicure from Zen nail bar on Middlebrook Pike. I think I've found my nail salon for all time . This is by far the cleanest nail salon I have ever been in and it's like the Dr. Who's Tardis, shockingly bigger on the inside than out and just beautiful. Sign on the door regarding masks. Everyone was masked inside. Plexiglass up at check register and nail stations. Employees were friendly and really made it a spa experience. I highly recommend. read more

I make appointments for myself and my 10 year old, and we are served almost immediately when we arrive. They are friendly and we are happy with the services we receive! read more

I got two mani-pedis here with their Living Social coupons ($35). Typical with nail salons, none of the workers spoke very good English, so communication was limited to the absolutely necessary (it took several tries to get "Square or round?" across...). They did a nice job, but this isn't a service that I would pay full-price for (I'm not normally a manicure gal), and the location is a bit out of my way. And they are definitely family-owned and run, with kids and extraneous other non-employees wandering around. But if you can't go a week without a manicure and you live out in that direction, this is definitely a good spot to check out. read more

I have been here a couple of times now for mani with shellac), pedi and brow wax. The first time I did have to wait about 15 minutes but that seems about normal at all nail salons in this area. The second time I went around 5:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and was able to get out before they closed at 7:00. The prices are reasonable and the service is great! The girls that work here are very personable and have always done a great job. This is definitely my go to spot for brow waxing. They only charge $10 and do a fantastic job! My only negative comment would be the location. The parking is always a nightmare because the retail center is located on a very dense space/spot at a busy intersection. It is sometimes really difficult to get in and out during peak traffic. Other than that, I'm a fan! read more

I did a walk In for a pedicure, fully expecting to wait. They told me 15 minutes - great, shorter than expected. The seat me in the foot bath chair after the wait time...:then leave me for 45 minutes with just the occasional "one more minute" hand sign given to me. No verbal communication. Eventually I stand up to leave - they ask if I want them to do my nails now? No - it has been much too long with no communication or customer service. A waste of an hour. If they didn't have time , no big deal - but don't waste someone's time. read more

My sister lives here and absolutely loves their shellac manicures (they last 2-3 wks!) & regular pedicures so of course I had to try it. Hands down best pedi with a long massage & lots of attention to detail. I had my mani pedi with Nam & my sister usual sees Sela for her shellac manis & Jasmine or Nam for pedis. They apparently serve wine too. I will plan to go back on every visit to Memphis. read more

I come every two weeks to get a pedicure and manicure and every time I leave happy and relaxed. I highly recommend!

Important note: Zen IS open on Sunday from 12:00-6:00. This salon isn't in my area, but it's easy to get to for my mom, so I met her here. We came on a Sunday around 2:45 in the afternoon for a gel manicure, waited *maybe* five minutes, and my nails look great. Aside from all this, Zen is a fairly standard nail salon that's perhaps on the small-ish side: 7 manicure stations, 6 pedicure massage chairs. All told, I'm satisfied. read more

So unsanitary and dirty. Nail techs didn't wear gloves and went from client to client without washing hands. I sat and watched this happen over and over and over. I had shellac nails done and I stuck my hand in the dryer and it was gross. My hand came out with someone else's gel stuck to the bottom of one of my fingers. She pulled out a buffer and that had been used on someone else. They were really, really busy but didn't say anything about a wait when I came in. I sat in the pedi chair until my feet were prunes and I had to take them out for the rest of the waiting time. I watched almost an entire movie while I waited. I should have just left and regret not doing so. $60 for really poor service (my toenails weren't done on the ends) and it was soooooo dirty. With so many other options around, I would definitely choose somewhere else. read more

Zen Nails is a wonderful family-owned business. Son and Annie are as professional as they come. After being a regular customer at another salon very close to Zen, I got tired of being treated like just another customer. At Zen, you're more than a customer, you're a friend. Sure there are times when they're busy and you may have a wait--but, you can alway make an appointment. To me, a busy salon is a sign of quality. People don't keep coming back if they don't like the service or the product they receive. I would follow Annie anywhere, and I have! Don't be fooled by nail salons offering you crazy gimmicks or "massage services"...you're just a number and a dollar sign. Once you use up your crazy gimmick, you'll pay--and you'll still have the long wait. Zen Nails is where it's at...I'm going to go in now and enjoy a glass of wine and a fabulous pedicure. This place is horrible, I just had a pedicure done last week and my nail polish now look really bad. If they would just stop speaking in their language and pay more attention to their customer, maybe they would do a better job. My cuticle was not even clean. I would not recommend this place at all. They were very unprofessional and unless u have plenty of time to spend there, I would recommend u find another salon near by read more
