Tiffany did an amazing job on my nails. She has been doing them for years, she's very professional.

Inside the salon the decor is really nice and the staff is attentive. I wanted to try this nail shop because it is one of the newer locations in Lakeland. I haven't had much success with Gloss Nails locations but I thought to give it a try. I only scheduled a pedicure and some of the top requested nail tech were out that day. Either way I proceeded with the pedicure which is the most basic service you can do. The tech was not patient and did a rush job on my pedicure. Polish was outside of my nail beds and this was gel so it's hard to remove once it's set. My toe nails were cut crooked. Overall one of the worst pedicures I have had in a long time. Needless to say I may try some of the top rated nail techs that work there but this will not be my back up spot if my regular tech is out of town. read more

I would not recommend this place if you want a simple manicure. Within a day of getting my nails done the paint was already chipping, and after two days the paint is already coming off considerably. Also after going into the salon, I did not even get a chance to pick my nail polish before me and my BF were quickly escorted to our chairs. He asked them if I could could pick my nail polish color and the woman just told us to sit. When a man arrived to do my nails I asked him if I could go choose a nail polish color from the hundred of options they have available, he said "well what do you want?" so I just chose white because I was obviously not going to get the opportunity to look for myself. He then returned with gel polish NOT regular nail polish, and painted my nails with that. They also seemed very rushed to get me and my BF's manicures done, even though there was not many other customers coming in; while other workers were asleep or on their phones in massage chairs near the back. However, the young lady, Nia, who works the front desk, needs more training in customer relations. When I first walked in, she just stared at me & I awkwardly greeted HER since she couldn't say hello. She rudely responded, "Do you have an appointment?" and directed me to check in. No smile or anything, which almost made me want to take my coins to another shop. As a first-time guest who drove by six other shops to this particular one based on referrals, I stayed and decided to give the manicurist a try. Thankfully, I was assigned the sweet Tiffany who helped me navigate through my indecisiveness with a smile & patience as her last guest of the night. I enjoyed speaking with the other techs and staff who walked by eyeing the beautiful work Tiffany rendered as well. Unfortunately, as I checked out, I was met with Nia, who couldn't make a smile or speak nicely still. I went in to get my acrylic nails off . After 2 hours later I had to stop Dan the technician a few times !!!! He cut my cuticles w the nail file and the emery board I said ouch it burns !!! Super expensive pedicure. I got a regular gel pedicure with red chrome. The bill was $77 before tip. I was told the "chrome" color was an extra $15. If it was a good pedicure, I wouldn't be that upset. They literally spent 2 minutes on my cutacles and 2 mins scrubbing my feet. Hot towels don't count. They should be more informative about extra pricing for certain colors. Won't be back. read more

My third visit here and unfortunately I think this will be last. The location is ideal for me and the facilities are top notch. Very clean and very spacious. This particular day I got a detox pedicure, and a dip and tip removal followed by a manicure with dip. The pedicure was fine, nothing spectacular. I picked out a color for my toes and asked if there was the matching dip for hands and was informed by the pedi tech that there wasn't and whoever did my hands would match it as best they could. When I did finish the pedicure I sat at the manicure table for a half hour until someone( not my previous tech) what my name was and then I had someone get started on my hands. Oh guess what they did have the matching dip powder. What proceeded was the the most PAINFUL manicure I have ever received. I decided to just do my natural nails this time because at this point I have been there for 2 hours. At the end, my fingers are sore, I have dried acetone around and underneath my nails, and I was there for 3 hours when most other places I have been in and out in about an hour and half. I even went on a Monday afternoon. Maybe I will give it another try in the future but for now I will be going somewhere a little more efficient and takes a clients comfort into consideration. read more

I think management has changed since they have opened. they use to be great. When you make an appointment it doesn't mean you won't have to sit and wait for 30 min before they see you. no reason it should have took 3 hours to get a polish change and a pedicure. read more

I've been to gloss many times and I leave happy every time. April 21st, 2024 is the first time I have had a bad experience! It was not with my nail tech, but it was with the manager managing at that time. I'm not sure if they lack management skills, but I'm sure their job is to be there until closing. Instead, they rushed my nail tech to finish my services as they rushed me to pay stating that they were going out to eat sushi! They even told my nail tech to lock up once she've stated that she didn't know the protocol of doing that. I've never been to a place of business like this until the receptionist Dustin had left! I ran into Gloss Nail Bar in the Lake District because I did not have time to go to my regular salon. A nice nail technician, Keisha, provided my service of a dip manicure. Keisha seemed to be knowledgeable and professional; however, when I got home I noticed that the work was shoddy and not neat. The dip was messily placed around the cuticles. There were also blotches and ridged edges around several of the nails. Under some of the nails felt like sandpaper. Don't get me wrong, the color was beautiful, but, the details that go into a dip manicure were lacking. I went back the following day to speak to the manager. Before I could ask for a manager, two people waved me to the sign in tablets, before asking me what I needed. I told them that I did not need to sign in because I wanted to chat with the manager. The man who was actually at the desk told me that he was the manager. Again, he was professional and assured me that they could fix my issue by cleaning up the work. I told him that I was in a hurry, but definitely wanted him to see the work that they were producing. He again, kindly suggested that I allow them to fix it. I noticed that one of the nail techs was staring. This is the nail tech that he asked to fix my nails. She was super rude!! She asked me what did I want her to fix. I told her that there were several issues and if she could not see them, there was really no point in me telling her, the expert. She rudely informed me that she was just asking me so she would know what to fix. I was actually a little shocked at the attitude, because she has actually done my nails before, and did an amazing job! I guess sharing your feedback is not welcomed. Anyway, A very kind tech leaned over and told her what she should fix. THANK YOU!!! At that point, I honestly was over it. Just the attitude. I left the salon because I certainly didn't want someone fixing my nails with an attitude. I definitely would never go back. I came in peace. Just to say, hey, this is the work that you all are putting out. Take a step back with your team and improve. Such a beautiful nail salon with hit or miss services. Again, this is not a dig at Keisha or the manager. Both were very nice and professional. The work just was not up to par, and the attitude of the tech that was asked to repair the mistakes was not kind at all. Please don't do me any favors ma'am. I am sharing this review with 3 stars because the salon is immaculate. They have a variety of polishes to choose from. The location is convenient. The lady who did my manicure only did 75% of my nail beds and when I asked her about it she said it was because my massage chair was on. My nails look awful. I don't know why I keep going back. I keep giving them a chance because it is close to where I work and I can go during my lunch break. I have NEVER had a dip not last longer than a week, except when I go to Gloss. It chips and cracks. The fancy atmosphere does not reflect the quality of the work they do. The pedicure I had when they first opened, was the worst, most rushed pedicure I've had in 25 years. I was the only one in a pedicure chair and they were not busy. By far the worst customer service ever!!! I would give no stars if possible. Upon arriving I asked to see the dip samples, I was immediately rush the the pedicure station and give one panel of samples. I informed the tech that I didn't see the color that I wanted she said this is all we have and we do not have any other polishes, which was a LIE! I chose from the color selection that was given and after the horrific experience, I see an entire wall of polish before leaving. My pedi was done in 12 minutes with the polish being extremely streaky. I then go on to get my nails done and I show the picture of the color that I wanted because I again was not given the opportunity to select my color from panel. She comes back with a color completely different than what I showed. I was told that color is close enough and she lays it down and walks off. Another young lady came and offered me a color wheel and she was extremely nice and we instantly found the color in seconds. She started my service and the color was completely different from the sample. They have no regard for any form of customer service and to blatantly Lie was so saddening and to add insult on to injury I was dismissed as if I were a nuisance. So I went to the nail bar today because I've been needing my nails done and my aunt came here not to long ago and her nails were cute . Tonight I came in and I had a young lady to do my nails . Let's start with I had to ask her to remove on of the nails because she glued it on crookedly! Next I had to ask her to reshape the tips before application because it was more to one side . As she is about to put my acrylic on I see clear acrylic. Mind you I asked for French tip with pink base isn't that normal French tip ? That was in the picture I showed her so where she got clear from i don't know ! So I tell her I want a pink nude like a regular base color acrylic not a bright color A BASE ACRYLIC so she does my application and as you can see in the video my left hand the acrylic isn't laid on enough because it's SEE THROUGH ! middle finger left hand ! So after that I decided I was no longer going to even get the French tip because at that point I'm over it and I don't want to change my French not being NEAT ! I am a nail tech myself who graduated from school and w her license so I know EXACTLY how things go ! Once I got done she asked did I want a gel top coat ! WHEN HAVE YOU EVER GOT ACRYLIC SND THEY DID NOT GUCE YOU A GEL TOP COAT ! You never get a regular top coat on acrylic so honestly with all that being said I paid 85 for these SHORT YET SIMPLE NAILS ! 85 dollars I got charged for "color acrylic" when this is a base acrylic I'm definitely not supposed to be paying for the acrylic if I'm already getting a full set isn't full set acrylic wtf ! Then On top of that I got charged for gel top coat which usually already comes with it ! These folks are definitely scamming and ripping people off for these services that aren't even that good maybe! If your nail techs cause meet your price standards then it would be understandable prices but as of now y'all need to figure that out because that is insane.
