    Beautiful piece!
    Jenny S.

Zentner's collection of Javanese + Chinese antique furniture is outstanding!! They have museum quality pieces available for purchase at a reasonable price (for what it is). Jenny + Perry were both very knowledgeable and very helpful. I wish I could take home more pieces!! My husband has my wish list!

    My Japanese Sendai Tansu :)

So I am redecorating my home and have been searching to find quality furniture with an Asian flare. I stumbled upon this gem on google and stopped in last week. They have at least four different rooms of wonderful furniture that I was able to feast my eyes on for hours! I was like a kid in a candy store. I finally decided on two pieces of gorgeous furniture and dare I say, I will be back for more. I've read the reviews about the bug damage and infestation. I am pleased to say that my items are bug damage free and gorgeous. Prices were totally reasonable/fair and the guys who were helping me were genuinely caring, not just trying to sell me something. In fact the whole staff was pleasant and knew their stuff. All in all, I give this establishment 5 stars.. They deserve it!

    A true warrior

I have been coming and buying from The Zentner Collection for over 20 Years now. I have come to know the owners and they are very honest people. I truly appreciate that this is a family owned business that loves what they do. The quality of furniture is un equalled at any other store. Not to mention the selection is well Above and Beyond anyone else. Huge multi room gallery and warehouse. I have no problem with the six pieces I have collected over the years. True timeless treasures! Not just furniture but small very collectible pieces as well. A true museum with great prices. A Retail location with wholesale prices. Must stop when visiting the Bay Area!

However, the parking situation can be quite tedious when arriving after 10am. The entrance fee varies based on the time you come in, with the most expensive being when they open at 6am ($20). My family and I got there around 11am and it was a $10 entrance fee. They do allow re-entries so long as you get a handstamp before exiting. Today was my first time visiting and I was taken aback by how pricey a lot of items were - especially the clothing. Many were priced higher than new items. The food vendors present were underwhelming. We had Donna's Tamales and it was quite bland and overpriced. They charged me $18 for 2 corn chili tamales. My husband and I had hoped to find some items for our new spot, but left empty handed. Not sure I will be back for how marked up the items were.

Even knowing this it felt like I should have worn a thicker jacket. The kids and wife were freezing and we had to get them used sweaters and a blanket from vendors on site. It's a curated selection of antiques, vintage good, and clothes so it will be more expensive than traditional flea markets. They have foods on site on the right side with normal items like coffee and breakfast burritos all the way to ube waffles and fried chicken. There are some treasures here if you are willing to go digging: -Near the front was a lady that had preserved bugs that were mounted in nice displays or frozen forever in blocks of acrylic. These are locally made and some of the species I haven't seen before preserved and available for purchase. -Seaglass and antique glass merchants. Saw two of these guys and liked the odd rainbow patina for glass that has spent decades in ocean water. -Japanese wood medicine boxes, these were decorated with old stickers and looked so good for storing items. They were 40-70 each and were priced well below market value.

He's always patient, happy to answer questions, and never ever pressures anyone to buy anything. It actually feels like you're visiting a collector's den or small museum where most things just happen to be for sale. I've learned a lot about textiles, woven blankets, and handmade quilts from Kingsley and am thankful for the time he took to get his newly acquired "baby" out of the back to show me. We both have a fascination with learning how things are made and we're dazzled by the work on this one. Speaking of "how things are made": he knows a guy named Cort that fixes and cleans old pocket and wrist watches. I bought an antique pocket watch from him a few years ago at a great price and it keeps time perfectly. I had also requested/mentioned I was looking for a specific vintage watch and he found one! Once again: great price. There have been slight issues with watch repair only because of the pandemic making many parts hard to find. I heard that the main source to get things may be or has already closed for good. It's rare to find people and items like the ones you'll find in this shop. Stop by and you'll find something interesting and beautiful, and most likely learn something new!
