$12 parking for day use? Worth it.
Tashara H.

When we visit Lake Tahoe and we want to touch our toes to the lake...this is the perfect place to go. Ample parking, rest rooms, a snack shack, nature trail, and just enough beach. It is the perfect place to sit and watch the sun set over Emerald bay on the opposite side of the lake. We usually visit in Autumn after the busy summer season is over, and before the snow, and we never have to worry about crowds. There is a parking fee, but that's okay, as it gives us access to all mentioned above. It is also fun to watch the dinner cruise ship depart--which happens just before sunset when it is running.

Zephyr Cove Marina was a popular destination for the Fourth of July weekend. My boyfriend and I attended this marina with our two golden doodle puppies. parking was a nightmare I give parking one star there were multiple stalls that were open however the event staff stated they were not allowing any more patrons to park in the parking lot which caused us to park illegally and just risk it so that we can have fun at the beach. There was a DJ on the beach and a full service bar and full service kitchen. The beach was crowded but we had no problem finding the spot and making friends. we rented a two person kayak and took our two dogs out on the lake.

Had a wonderful experience! My family and I rented a boat for 4 hours, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The boat was extremely clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and made the entire process super easy. We were also happy to learn that bringing our dog was allowed for just a $40 fee, such a great option for pet owners! An added bonus: when you rent a boat, you don't have to pay for parking at Zephyr Cove Marina. Highly recommend for a fun and stress-free day on the water.

First they waste 30 minutes of the time you paid explaining. SO PLAN AHEAD. IF YOU ARE TUBING DOUBLE CHECK THEIR OUT DATED EQUIPMENT. BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CHECK THEIR EQUIPMENT. If you're wasting money double check everything you are renting before you leave. My group didn't let me mention about this very ripped strap (as pictured) and we suffered consequences when we were out in the water. We paid 50$ for a tube to have ONE OF THE MAIN STRAPS THAT YOU NEED TO HOLD ON TO be half ripped. We all CURRENTLY hurting our right wrist trying to hold on, so we just stopped trying to go tubing. IF YOU ARE TUBING DOUBLE CHECK THEIR OUT DATED EQUIPMENT. Side note the petite male manager tried to blame us for the ripped strap when I mentioned none of us were able to be comfortable while tubing. With very obvious wear and tear HE TRIED TO BLAME MY GROUP FOR IT biggest joke of management standing under 5ft. This place definitely needs to look into NEW MANAGEMENT before something serious happens and it's out of his wavelength and MORE people suffer AS I AM LEAVING WITH A SORE RIGHT WRIST.

Almost full!!

We rented a pontoon boat for a 4 hour cruise. We went to Cave Rock, south shore and Emerald Bay. The people were very nice and the boat was nice and clean. My only disappointment was getting hosed on the gas. After paying $759 for the rental we had to pay $140 for 1/8th of a tank of fuel used. This is just plain gouging. Attached is a shot of the fuel gauge upon our return.

Rented a pontoon boat for a half day! The staff was Wonderful. Clearly explained operations, assisted in loading seniors and family. Boat was clean and well maintained!

11 parked jet skis, but you can't rent any of them because they only have one girl working them. The manager and other employees sit inside looking at their phones. I guess they don't like money... I wish their upper mgmt would know how they run things here.

We hang out here every summer. It is a great place to grab a burger, rent equipment, take a walk, or just lounge on the beach.

Tahoe price gouging kills me. $50 to launch my boat...okay...$50 more to take it out of the water. Please! I had a few friends that were going to meet me at the marina to jump in the boat. The marina told me they charge $20 or $25 (I can't remember the price) per person to walk in and get on my boat. I am not willing to pay for something like that. I picked them up from a dock near the marina instead. Unfortunately that is Tahoe for you. The ramp was easy to use and it was small so it only held one truck and trailer at a time. Gotta get there early so there is room to park your rig. I'll go there again due to the convenience, but not for a while.

This is one of the most fun things you can do in Tahoe, renting a boat, heading over to emerald bay and pulling people on the tubes along the way! - 1 star for not enough instruction on pulling the tube or using an anchor. two years in a row I've had the rope get caught in the propeller and cut up. I also had to request an anchor, it wasn't offered and this is one of the fun things you wanna do is anchor somewhere and eat lunch and swim off the boat. also too expensive. They could knock the price down a bit for sure, but people keep paying it so they keep jacking it up every year I guess?

We decided to take a chance, and I'm really glad we did. The whole process was super easy. We literally just walked up, rented a jet ski for two people, and were out on the water pretty quickly. Everyone was really friendly, and they explained all the rules and safety stuff in a way that was clear and easy to understand. There is a designated area you're supposed to stay within, but it wasn't hard to follow at all and there was still plenty of room to have fun. We the best time! If you're looking to rent a jet ski in South Lake Tahoe and you're unsure where to go, I'd definitely recommend this place. Easy process, nice staff, and a really fun experience overall.

Horrible experience!!!! We were kicked out after only about…read more20 minutes, even though we paid for a 1-hour rental. The issue was that we entered an area where we were not supposed to ride. We did not understand that it was a restricted swimming area. We saw other watercraft and people paddling nearby so we didn't know we can't go that area. We also slowed down as we approached the shore and we believed we were following the rules that had been explained to us, including staying within the designated boundaries and not accelerating in restricted zones. Instead of clearly explaining the situation or giving us a warning, two staff members approached us angrily and told us we could not continue riding because we were "trying to kill people." When the rules were explained before the rental, we were told about the boundaries and what to do if we wanted to switch riders, but we were never clearly told which route to take when returning to shore or how to identify swimming-only areas. When we brought this up, staff simply said that the rules were included in the paperwork we signed. We were only told that it was our own responsibility if something happened to us before signing. No one specifically told us to carefully review additional riding rules!!!

Excellent parasailing experience this morning…read more We had booked the 10am 1000 foot experience and arrived around 9:45 am to fill out waivers (we had prepaid the $480 fee) and then boarded our boat. We had two crew members - one driving and the other helping with the preparation for the parasail (harnesses, life jackets, picture taking and so on). There was one more passenger and he went up first, then it was our turn - our tween and I went first in tandem (it was her first time) and then our teen and the missus. It was a magical ride; while I've done this before, it was lovely to see it from my daughter's eyes. It was chilly up high and she was a bit nervous, but the lake and mountains were breathtaking and she relaxed enough to soak it all in. We were 500-700 feet above the pristine "Tahoe Blue" surface, and we even got to dip our toes in the lake as we were being reeled back in! Can't wait to return!

Terrible scammy business practices!…read more Called them because my bank statement shows I was charged $230 when I only booked a 2 hour single kayak rental. They said they can't refund me because it was over 48 hours. And they said I also had two SUP's on that order. I told them, how can that be, I only requested the kayak. And so I asked them for the documents that I signed and then they said "sure". Get this, soo I was like...do you need my email? They said they're too busy to send it me me. On a monday morning. So you need people to check their bank accounts on a daily basis, but can't spend 5 mins to send me the supporting documents. If she gave me her real name, the manager's name is Kasandra. Completely not understanding and just accuses me of booking the SUP's and just so rude.

Captain Stacy and Mate Katerina were gracious hosts and provided us with lots of cool Tahoe history, in-between serving us cocktails and pointing out mutliple "must-see" points of interest in Emerald Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour Vikingsholm (our docent was wonderful as well), with an added bonus of seeing Eagle Falls because we had a little extra time. When we returned to the boat, Captain Stacy provided us with delicious snacks and made sure we were "fed and watered" before returning to the marina. We had considered a few other boat tours of Lake Tahoe, and I'm SO happy we chose Cruise Tahoe. It was intimate but we weren't crammed in like sardines, very professional yet laid back, and the perfect amount of time on the lake for us. Highly recommend! Side note - directions to the Tahoe Keys Marina were excellent and appreciated for us 3 directionally-challenged girls.
