I cannot believe the tone and attitude of the receptionist yesterday 5/20/2026. I spoke to her…read moretwice yesterday and her snide little mean girl attitude was unbelievable. Is she in high school? I think I spoke to here around 2pm and 4pm. I didn't catch her name. So I needed to get my dog seen. He was bit by a raccoon and he was limping. He needed a rabies booster and to have his wounds checked. I have had a very challenging year with many stressors changes and events that distracted me from maintaining my dogs rabies vaccinations. I had asked my husband to do it and well he didn't. Who else can relate. Well my regular vet was in surgery and fully booked. I was referred to planned pethood by harmony clinic that said they can't treat the wounds in their clinic. This woman said they can't see my dog, the won't vaccinate him or treat his wounds because they could get rabies and that I had to call the county but the county doesn't treat either. So what about his treatment? If they could get it couldn't I? Don't they have training? W edits even know if he has rabies! I called the county and the county said that the vet absolutely can and should treat my dog and in fact I have 24 hours to get the vaccines or face fines. That it's their duty to treat. I called back and she said it's their company policy and got an attitude saying if I need a manager and I just hung up. I found a better vet and got treated fast and affordable. This place is not it guys.

I am writing this review to share my experience so other pet owners can make informed decisions…read more I brought my kitten, Alfred, to Planned Pethood for a routine neutering procedure. After the surgery, I was told everything went well and no complications were disclosed. In the days that followed, Alfred became increasingly ill and ultimately passed away after emergency veterinary intervention. I had serious concerns about the care provided and the information communicated to me. Planned Pethood and I were unable to resolve these concerns privately, which led me to pursue the matter in small claims court. The court entered a final judgment in my favor after the clinic failed to appear, and the matter was resolved only after legal enforcement. Losing a pet is devastating, and transparency, communication, and accountability matter deeply in veterinary care. I encourage others to ask detailed questions, advocate strongly for their pets, and carefully consider their options.

They also go above and beyond. My 120 Rottweiler hates her nails clipped and they got on their hands and knees to get her overgrown dewclaw without traumatizing her like other places I've been.

The ladies in the front are the sweetest ever, and the vet techs are the best I have ever encountered. My Midnight needed surgery, and Dr. B was so incredibly skilled at this procedure that I did not have to go elsewhere and pay thousands of dollars to save my cats life. She performed PU surgery herself, and the results and pics speak for themselves. Midnight ended up staying there a week and a half, and I would not be able to have afford that length of stay elsewhere. The vet techs sent me pics every day while he was there, which made me feel so grateful that I drove all the way from Brandon to their practice. Holly was so sweet, and I am thankful I received a referral from a healthcare coworker to bring my cats there, they truly are the best at everything they do. I will not go anywhere else. When I had to follow up with them and bring midnight after surgery, my cat was walking around in the exam room like he owned the place. I have NEVER seen him so comfortable going to a vet EVER!!! That said it all. He acted like he was home. He is doing so well, and words will never be enough to express my sincere appreciation for all they have done. If you want a caring Vetenarian Office, who will treat you and your furbabies like they are their own... bring them to Claws and Paws in Zephyrhills FL!!!

We even used them for our honeymoon! We have had a great experience every single time. Between the great pricing, the free nights you earn and their clear love of all things furry you can't beat it. Not to mention he large fenced in rooms your pet gets instead of a tiny little crate. We originally chose this location because it was the only one in the area that allowed my lab-pit mix to join in play groups due to her breed (she is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet). We keep using them because time after time we pick her up and get a 5 minute story about how silly and sweet she is, or a detailed reenactment of how she was playing out back. From the stories they tell and the fact that they know my dog by name as we walk in, you can tell they care for your dog as if she was their own. Though it may not look like the fancy "pet resorts" around this area, you can guarantee my pup is getting the best care she could from anyone in this town. Thanks guys! See you soon!

They also took her to the vet to find that she had a UTI. More on this later... The place was at an old house. It was quite small, but it was what they had. The rooms were little wooden walled rooms. It was nice that our puppy wouldn't be shoved into a small crate or cage somewhere. We interacted with one woman who was very pleasant. A couple times later, that woman was gone. We were then dealing with another woman who was far from pleasant. She had a very condescending tone each time we spoke with her. She argued with us about the rates and dates of stay. Even if the customers were wrong, you don't speak to them that way. This is Customer Service 101. They took our puppy to the vet when there was a suspected UTI. This was very awesome of them to help us out with this. That seems like going above and beyond to me. We are very grateful for that. What's upsetting is that they didn't give the medicine to our puppy in appropriate doses. The pill was prescribed at once every 12 hours. There were enough to be done in about a week. Two weeks later we picked up our puppy and the medicine still had a few pills left. This means that our puppy did not receive the dosage correctly. If this were a more serious UTI, or other condition, things could have been much worse for our dog. The business ended up relocating while they had our dog. They told us they would be moving, but didn't give us a street address. They mentioned it was "down the road about a mile." We drove down that way, but couldn't find it. We were able to get the address and find the place on the day we picked up our puppy. The new place was in a mobile home. We didn't tour or care to look around. We can't give feedback on that new location. Overall, we weren't happy with this place based on the woman owner. We started out happy, but that turned around when she spoke to us the way she did. I would not recommend this place to a friend.

Our sweet Charlie ended up at the emergency vet with a bladder obstruction that required surgery…read more What started as straining to pee turned into a whirlwind of ER visits, anesthesia, and a major procedure to remove stones from his bladder. I don't usually share personal stuff like this, but I'm making this post for one reason only. If you ever have an emergency with your pet, go to VEG ER for Pets. When we were trying to find a vet to perform the surgery, our VEG doctor sat there and personally called vet after vet to get someone to fit us in. And when we finally found the right place, she stayed on the phone with the surgeon and fully briefed him on Charlie's condition so there was not a single gap in his care. They kept us informed, comforted, and confident that our boy was in the best hands. He made it through surgery like a champ and finally came home but after we got him settled, his temperature dropped and we had to rush him back to VEG. They immediately took him in, warmed him, ran an ultrasound to make sure nothing was wrong, monitored him until he was stable... and didn't charge us a dime. Because of how long this whole process was, and having to go back again, we saw three different doctors at VEG, and every single one of them treated Charlie (and us) with the exact same level of urgency, compassion, and kindness. That consistency in care meant everything to us. Charlie is home now, snuggled in blankets, eating, and slowly getting stronger! If you ever face an emergency with your fur baby, VEG is the place to go. We are beyond grateful and will recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I brought my 13 yr dog in months ago bc she wasn't acting right, I explained that I thought she was having seizures (spinning in circles and having trouble standing) and that she was hiding in weird places (laundry baskets and closets) and for reference on the size she's a husky mix) and they told me it was just her hips bc she's old and sent me off with anti inflammatories. Well I brought her in again and tried asking more questions like if she could have a brain tumor or if we could do something more for her, they dismissed my concerns and told me that was not what it was and they just raised the dose and told us to bring her in again if she had any problems. Well she's dead, I had to watch as she violently seized and gasped for breath and died in my arms. This could have been avoided if they had taken me seriously then if they told me she needed to be euthanized she wouldn't have had to go through that I am so beyond pissed off I will NEVER go back. On another note I brought my cat in a month ago as well and waited 2 HOURS for her to get her routine vaccines then they tried to tell me she needed $600 worth of testing bc they thought they heard a heart murmur, safe to say I'm going to go somewhere else for more testing.

I finally had the script transferred from an old pharmacy. The next time I sent in the script and kept calling them never got a returned call.
