My family was part of a large group celebration after the Marist graduation a few weeks back. Rich, our catering contact, worked the menu offerings to include gluten free and dairy free selections for the few family members that have those allergies. The food was delicious- chicken satay, salad, pizzas. As the 50+ of us arrived, Rich was even able to package up the gluten/dairy free pizzas to travel with those family members who cut out early. To know my family members would not suffer cross contaminations with their allergies was a great relief and we had a very fun, memorable celebration with our son and his friends. Very disappointed in this restaurant! We came here for a graduation and had a reservation at 8pm on the rooftop. We were told by the ladies at the front door that they have heat lamps, to our surprise they did not. It was freezing cold upstairs! As soon as we arrived on the rooftop the lady at the rooftop entrance rudely asked us if we were sure we had a reservation even after we heard her receive a page on a walkie talkie that said a reservation of a party of 9 was just sent upstairs. We confirmed yes we did have a reservation even though half of upstairs was empty. She gave us two tables and we asked if it was possible to get one more table since we were very squished. She did not want to give us a third table, however a gentleman who worked there told her to just give it to us... since it was half empty upstairs. She then followed to have an attitude and threw the drinks from the neighboring table on the floor to clear the table... I don't know if this is common there to throw half drank drinks on the turf, but it felt very rude and disrespectful. We felt unwelcome by the staff and ended up deciding to leave. We are very disappointed in this restaurant that our graduate from Marist University raved about and wanted to spend her graduation dinner at. This is a large, modern brewery that's great for large parties! There's huge windows so the natural light is really nice as well. Our server was also so nice and let everyone in our group pay separately with their cards. I really enjoyed my Antiquity salad (the dressing was so good and the pistachios added a nice crunch). The wings and fries were good as well, although the calamari was a bit too on the crispy side. I can see this being a great spot especially in the summer as well! Visited Zeus Brewing Company on the 4th of July and had a great experience overall! We got there right as they opened, so it wasn't crowded, which was perfect. We decided to sit downstairs first to grab some food before heading up to the rooftop--just a heads up, the downstairs restaurant menu is different from the rooftop menu, and you can't bring food from downstairs up to the rooftop. The hostess was super friendly and polite, and we ended up ordering the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese--delicious and packed with flavor! We also did a beer flight to sample a few options. Our bartender, who also brought out our food and drinks, was great--very helpful and attentive. After we finished eating, we headed up to the rooftop, which was definitely a highlight. The view and vibes up there are top-notch, perfect for relaxing with a drink in hand. We grabbed a few more beers and just soaked in the chill atmosphere. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because a couple of the beers I wanted to try weren't available on tap, and the rooftop menu is a bit limited--mostly appetizers and snacks. That said, what we did try was solid, and I'll definitely be back to try more food and beer, and maybe even check out a special event in the future. My husband had been a couple of times to this place but this was my first time. They had a good selection of beer. My cousins tried their beer flight and they liked three flavors out of four. We ordered two pizzas - one margarita and another veggie pie and both were delicious. The crust was thin and perfectly baked. The veggie pie had flavorful pesto sauce. My family and I visited Zeus Brewing this past 4th of July. We were looking for a place to grab dinner before the fireworks show on the Walkway Over the Hudson. I had previously visited Zeus Brewing by myself and had a great experience. To drink, I ordered a flight which consisted of "Cobblestone" (Cream Ale), "Aurora Floreales" (Italian Pilsner), "Sleep No More" (Coffee Stout), and "PK's Bravest 10th Anniversary" (New England IPA). The coffee stout was my favorite. My wife enjoyed a delicious glass of "White Sangria" (passion fruit forward w/ hints of peach). For food, my wife and I shared the "Zeus Pie" (ricotta, parmesan, shredded mozzarella, red onion, pistachios, oregano and hot honey) and the "Pickle Bacon Pizza" (sliced pickles, bacon, mozzarella). Our two sons split a "Kids' Cheese Pizza" (red sauce and mozzarella). All of the pizzas were fantastic! I've been here a few times and my experience was just OK. The main bar area is (or can get) very loud. Parking can be tough in this area. Zeus appears to be part of a combined residential/apartment building + retail location and I think the parking lot in the back is for patrons... but it doesn't say that anywhere, so it always makes me nervous to park there. Also, that lot is frequently full as well, due to the residents. The rooftop deck is nice and has good views of he river and bridges. Food and drinks were OK but nothing super memorable. read more

What a fun place for a drink and some eats. It was a warm fall day and the rooftop is still open for beautiful views while sipping a cocktail. I'm not sure if they eventually have heaters for the colder months or if they just close the rooftop. It definitely got chilly once the sun went down. We've eaten here once and get delivery. Usually I love the food but the last time we were missing 1 pizza and they didn't cut our two pizzas. Grub hub refunded our order. My mom made a comment on Facebook and they replied to email what happened. My mom emailed and they did NOT respond. Really bad customer service. The cocktails were delicious, served in an "adult Capri sun" like container, with my personal favorite being "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The beers are fresh and it's cool that you can see right where they are brewed. I wouldn't recommend the calamari. For a classic dish, they tried to do a little too much that wasn't needed. Honorable mention to the thunder or lightning fries (ones with gyros meat) were outstanding! I had the goat cheese & pear pizza and my husband had espresso rubbed short rib special. I met some of my Yelp friends here at Zeus the other day for lunch and to catch up. While I am not a beer connoisseur, I have been to a few breweries in the past and have been known to sip a few in place of a glass of wine. Zeus' food menu looked really good, so I was looking forward to checking out a new spot and seeing friends. Zeus is located on Main Street in downtown Poughkeepsie. It looks like the building it's in is relatively new, and the interior really gives off that new aesthetic while also being inviting. It's super spacious inside with a mostly black and white color scheme. There's a large bar against the back wall with tables scattered throughout the space. While there are residences upstairs, the brewery actually has rooftop seating on the top floor. We asked if there was available seating up there and as luck would have it there was. It's totally worth it to sit up there - it's spacious with amazing views. In lieu of beer, I opted for a cocktail. The Fineapple sounded fun and summery, so I went with that. I thought it was great, really refreshing and served in a Capri-Suneasue plastic bag. I'll be honest I was having trouble opening the bag, big thanks to our waitress for getting me off the struggle bus. For lunch I had their Antiquity salad which was similar to a garden salad with tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber. They gave the option to add shrimp or chicken and I chose the latter; the chicken was fresh and the perfect complement to the greens. Service was great - our waitress was very friendly and everything came out at a good pace. Overall, I had a great experience at Zeus. They have a super welcoming and modern atmosphere with tasty drinks and food. I would definitely return if given the opportunity, and perhaps next time grab a beer ;-) read more

Love the beer and the food. Why three stars? The staff. I've been here twice and both times the staff really detracted from the experience. How? They don't seem to clean very much. Both times it wasn't busy yet the tables had crumbs on them. But even more annoying is that they don't seem to understand that they are working, and instead serve the role of being that really loud annoying table that bothers everyone else. They crowd in the corner of the bar to yell and gossip. While I'm not saying you can't have fun at work, it really detracts from the experience when you can hear every detail of their conversation when you are trying to have your own conversation. I was invited here for a get together with the local American culinary federation chapter. The beer was really good I tried a couple different varieties. I had the hazy zues which was good and I had a flannel beer of some sort which was really well done. I did not try any of the food or even look at a menu but what I saw looked appetizing and the service I received was great. The place was really trendy too with the layout and decor. We went with six friends and our child and service was attentive; the food came out hot this visit, cocktails were well-made, the beers were on point and their sours are still some of my favorites in the area. What an amazing happy hour deal, each week day has its own special. We stopped by on a Thursday and to our luck it was happy hour all day! Every beer off their draft picks was home brew and for happy hour, it's $5 a drink. They also had house made sangria that was delicious. Our neighbors ordered pizza and burgers which looked amazing. Based on all the good reviews, the hype, and feedback from friends, I decided a good time for a first visit would be a late lunch on a weekday. That seemed to be a good choice as it wasn't nearly as busy or as loud as I've heard it can get at night. Zeus will probably be THE place to stay and be seen in 2020... ask me again in 2021. The space is beautiful and bright, but I can see where it would get loud easily. There's a nice variety of food and drink on the menu. As someone who prefers dark beers, I was satisfied with their Imperial Stout but really drawn to their Coffee Milk Stout. As far as food, I can't really judge based on a single salad - I thought their Brewers Salad was a bit simplistic for the price but still well prepared and tasty. Came to Zeus for the first time in March 2021 and found out their rooftop doesn't open until Memorial Day, which was understandable. Still had a great lunch with a friend sharing the penne rose and mushroom rigs + cocktails. Came again for dinner last night and got to enjoy the rooftop view! Was pleasantly surprised that we still got a great table and view without a reservation. Our server was super attentive, patient, and helpful. To eat we got the calamari (standard), pizza fries (so yummy), and the white hot pasta (delicious). For drinks we got the moonrise kingdom, French dispatch, and fantastic mr. fox. Really thorough menu with lots more I would return to try including apps and pizzas. Ambience and music were also great. It's hard to find a place with great beer and good food, Zeus checks off both boxes. My husband got a flight, he rated the beers 4 out of 5. His favorite was the Zeus IPA. We ordered calamari for starters. It was lightly breaded with just the right amount of seasoning served with a side of tasty marinara. For main course, we got Porchetta with Parmesan/Rosemary fries, and the Zeus salad (basically a south west salad) dressing was nice and zesty. As me and my brother were upstate for Thanksgiving we decided to try out "Zeus Brewing" when we saw it show up on google maps. We had never heard of this place while in Poughkeepsie so seemed like a exciting new spot. What we got exceeded our expectations! With a name like "Zeus" you would expect this place to have a microbrewery college-esque vibe but it actually higher standards then that. Before we even entered the door, something we noticed is that the whole area was relatively new. It looked like these use to be warehouses or something long ago and now they are finally being refurbished for modern businesses. There is this brewery, Slate Point meadery and down further one of those trendy yoga-bars. I am glad to see Poughkeepsie is revitalizing this area for commercial use. Once you get inside Zeus the "this use to be warehouses" theory becomes more evident. The ceilings are very high, its very spacious and you can tell the space use to be brickwork before they refurbished. Speaking of the refurbishing is quite nice too! There are lots of fancy tables and you can spot the brewing vats in the next room over. The woodwork on the bar is also new and the main room has lots of windows for light to shine in. As it was about lunch time we decided to also get the brussel sprouts with bacon to share. We didn't know though that they serve this dish still simmering! The brussel sprouts were fairly soft and the bacon was cooked well. The only complain I would have food wise was it was hard to find the menu on their QR site. But besides that the meal was wonderful. We also, of course, got beer. We got flights to try out selections so we ended up trying the Zeus IPA, the West Coast, Mall Santa and that Farmhouse collab larger they had. In our opinion the Mall Santa was the best, followed closely by the West Coast. All of them were good though, its just personal tastes. Considering how new this place is I hope they do well. The experience we had here makes us want to come back again. Now that people are popping out of their houses again hopefully everyone can give places like Zeus more business! read more

Dined here last night with a group of family- general consensus was that our experience could have been better. Nothing egregious, but for the type of venue and previous experiences here we had expected better. From the moment we stepped inside (6:00 pm) the restaurant was far louder than expected. It made it difficult to speak to the other members of our party, and proved to be problematic for our server as well. Twice our orders were not heard correctly which led to the incorrect dishes being brought out. Both of the dishes were close enough to the order that we just ate them, but for the prices at a hip downtown spot we would have preferred what we had asked for. The dishes that were brought out correctly were tasty, and there was no complaints about them. The drink selection was also very nice, and we had several rounds of drinks that were served cold and promptly by our waitress. On a closing note, I had ordered Rosemary fries / frites and when they arrived there was no rosemary to be found. I asked the waitress for extra rosemary on the side, and was brought a small bowl of parsley. It was concerning that the kitchen staff did not know the difference between the two, and I was definitely disappointed. read more
