Very slow pick up from the airport. Could not reach any staff to request pick up. Even after we reached someone, it took an hour and a half to even get from the airport to the location. They gave us some BS reason about traffic but we could see from Google maps that there was no traffic to that location. After we got there, it took almost 45 minutes to get the rental car. They claimed the car was being cleaned. All in all, it took three hours from the time that we called in from pick up to the time that we actually got the car. read more

1st off I didn't book with Zezgo, I booked through advantage who supposedly closed down a few days ago and the called themselves "helping us by renting us a vehicle" The young lady at the counter was very indirect and never advised on any "additional" charges such as being added for a fee and I am the spouse of the renter and she didn't advise on liability charges when I paid with a major credit card and I also had proof of insurance. My rental went from $79 to $386, which did include the Florida sunpass she didn't advise mentioned at $15.92/day. when she went over the contract she was so vague and indirect and it was my fault I didn't ask why the rental was so high and once I did I had already slid and initialed. These people had the audacity to tell me there are no refunds after Eduardo, the manager that came in 2hrs later advised they cannot remove any of the coverages. I was FLABBERGASTED!!! I still left their rental and left because how are you adding charges to my contract without telling me what they are, how much they are and then your so nonchalant about my Money! How are these people open? As everyone else, I got stuck buying their insurance because I didn't have a copy of my insurance. That's $156. Then they wanted me to but their toll package at $15 a day for 8 days. I said I wasn't going to be on that many toll rds. One to the airport and one back. He gave me a rough time about that. I ended up paying $5.50 total in tolls. That was much less than the package. Now comes the worst part. We got back to turn the car in and their was a 1 inch dent in the driver's side back door. I never saw that dent the entire time we had the car until we turned it in. I had a great experience renting a car from Zezgo. Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating (even talked me through being at the wrong pickup area at the airport). Car was in good condition and perfect for my needs. They managed my early drop off time and early shuttle to the airport. No unexpected charges. A $500 credit hold that was quickly removed when the car was returned (so no problem with that). I would happily use Zezgo for my next car rental needs in Orlando. read more

RENTER BEWARE - ONLY LEAVING ONE STAR BECUAE I CANT LEAVE 0 We arrived in Orlando on 8 November 2024 and had pre-booked and paid for our rental car through Hotels.com. Upon arrival at the ZezGo rental car facility we accepted the $1,000 insurance incidental hold. The rental vehicle was fully operational the night of 8 November however upon arrival on 9 November (in Brooksville, Florida, 77.9 miles from Orlando) the car would not start. The lights in the car would come on and the doors unlocked just fine but the ignition would not turn over and the dashboard was all lit up saying mechanical failure consult manufacturer. 13 attempts were made to contact the company, unsuccessfully, before contact was finally made via the corporate emergency phone number. We were advised we would have to pay the AAA fee up front to have the car jumped ($79) however we were told by ZezGo that we would be reimbursed after the car was running. The jump start was able to turn the car over however, the AAA tech said that the battery was corroded and completely depleted measuring well below what is necessary to restart the battery after the car is turned off. The tech advised that once the car was turned off again it would not turn over again and would have to be jumped every time until the battery was replaced. So we were not surprised as soon as the ignition was turned off we were unable to start the car again. So we called back and were told we would have to pay $795 to have the vehicle towed from Brooksville back to the ZezGo facility in Orlando. After reaching out to corporate four times over 24 hours to set up the tow we finally reached someone who said we could pass our credit card number to AAA and the ZezGo company would reimburse us the $795 once the vehicle was received. The next day after several attempts by AAA to dispatch a tow truck driver, AAA advised us that no tow trucks would tow us from Brooksville to Orlando. After some more phone calls to ZezGo, ZezGo provided us with a private tow company to contact and paid for the tow expenses, however they told us they would need us to email to discuss the battery issue. I emailed the Orlando office (orlando@zezgo.com) seven times over a two week period. After that two weeks I reached out to the corporate office who only responded that they would need to reach out to the office in Orlando.  Although two separate tow truck drivers had to jump the vehicle to get it running and we were advised that the battery was corroded and they had concerns about the vehicle being driven, on 2 December ZezGo corporate advised that the manager did not think they should have to cover the cost of the AAA jump start and they were confident the issue was the full fault of the customer. Even after over 18 emails the company has refused to provide contact information for any managers/supervisors in either the Orlando office or the corporate office. read more

I was so glad I was able to learn more about everyone's experiences before going 100% through with my transaction. I booked a rental car to be picked up from and returned to Orlando airport through a travel site. Even after using travel marketplace websites and, after applying my website rewards, the prices were still even higher than what I could get from other more nationally reputable rental cars. I ended up reading through it and it seemed they would make me buy a collision insurance from them even though my credit card would cover it. What was the final nail in a coffin was that this rental car company were placed elsewhere from the airport (and from what I read...you have to pay expensive, mandatory tollway fee for using tollway to get in/out of their facility). I ended up canceling my rental and I'm glad I didn't have to go through the saga of renting, hoping that I get to the place alright to rent and to return/get back to their airport...and spending unnecessarily extra money renting their car. For what it was worth, I was able to find a cheaper alternative with a more national rental car chain that is located in proper rental car area of the airport, with lower rental price, knowing that they would never make me pay tollway fee or mandatory insurance when I already am covered through other means. Their customer service line is utterly useless and will hang up on you, even if you call multiple times. Want to turn in the car a few days early? Too bad - even if you return it 3 days early, you're still paying the full price. Trying to use your own sunpass or pay the tolls directly? Nope. Get ready to pay $15 a day instead of paying $3-5 for tolls per day. Ready to return the car? Get ready to get slammed with extra cleaning fees and more even if the car is fine. After being shuttled off site from the airport and dropped into a long line I was told there were mandatory fees and insurances (plus deposit) that amounted to FAR MORE than the rental cost through Priceline. This was despite me having insurance coverage from my auto insurance AND my cred it card. Was told I wouldn't get a car without paying the fees and since I was there and had no transport, I was stuck. Just use a real rental car company. Will be easier and far cheaper in the long run. I actually disputed the charges on my credit card and we'll see what happens. Recommend anyone in a similar situation do the same. read more

Car was a dog. Bad tire/bearing noise and a massaging vibration above 65MPH. Beware of the toll scam. The agent will try to sell you a "pay once $41 or get charged $25 for each toll even if you pay cash at the toll. The cars have a SunPass that they won't/can't de-activate and the minimum charge for each toll is $25. If I had used toll roads on my trip, the toll cost should have been about $12. As it was, I routed myself around the tolls. (The agent tried to tell me that was difficult to do. I said it's ok, I can read a map.) Part of the waiver agreement requires you agree to pay for roadside assistance if it is requested. Seriously? Your car isn't maintained well and you want me to bill me if I have a problem? The agent will also try to convince you to buy their insurance. He stated if I didn't want to pay his extra fee, I needed to show proof of insurance on the spot. I was able to pull up a quote from an old email and he accepted it for proof (I'm thinking he couldn't tell the difference or maybe he had marginal reading skills. Have that proof handy or you'll get up charged when you pickup the car. Better yet, avoid Zezgo. 2 more fails... I waited at least 30min for their shuttle to take me from the terminal to the off site rental office. I'll never again rent off site at MCO- and I'll never rent with one of these shoestring budget rentals. One other reviewer said the experience felt like he was being robbed. Yes! Received a crappy sedan with 75,000 miles and the AC died after two days while vacationing in Florida. Called their front desk who initially didn't even have our name/reservation on file. Spoke to the "manager", who said we can file a claim after returning the rental and to look out for the form on email. Never got the claim form nor any consideration for a failed AC unit in 100 degree weather. Never again, and do NOT recommend them under any circumstances. TL;DR - do not rent cars from this company. My girlfriend rented a car from Zezgo on our trip to Florida. She used an online portal to rent the car, which did not entail the many extra fees and required deposits Zezgo will charge: loss-of-use, liability insurance, etc. These were barely explained to us as my girlfriend was guided through a series of signatures on a barely-working POS pad. Upon arriving to our destination (Orlando to Brooksville), a friend noticed that one of the front tires had exposed banding due to the extremely worn state of the tire. The other front tire was also heavily worn. We were advised by our more mechanically-minded friends not to drive it anywhere. The spare included in the car was not going to be able to make the trip back to Orlando in a timely fashion, so we had to contact the roadside assistance that we signed for, who told us the rental company should be responsible for delivering us a replacement. Instead the rental company accused us of causing the damage, and demanded that we find a way to return the car to them. We did, in the form of a $400+ tow from Brooksville to Orlando. Upon returning the car, the agent made copies of the towing receipt, attempted to keep the original (no way, bud), and said that both our deposit and reimbursement for the tow would be given within 5 business days. We rented a Zezgo car through Expedia because the rate was lower and it appeared they had a decent Full-size SUV. What we found was a company and employees that feels more like people they are trying to scam you at every turn. Insurance. During pick up of the car the woman informed me that I need to purchase liability insurance. I said that I wanted to waive all extra insurance as my personal insurance and my credit card benefit covers all. She said that it's required in Florida. I again said that normally I'm able to waive this and that I don't want to pay for anything that I can waive. She said again that it's required and ended up charging an extra $191 to my card. I was able to research later that it is not required in Florida. Now that I've requested a refund, they sent me to the claims dept which has not provided any applicable law that would have me pay this and is refusing to refund the charge thus far. They will ask if you want to activate the toll transponder for $12/day. Normally in FL you can buy a $5 transponder at Walgreens and activate it. I found that the company associates there license plate numbers to the passes you can purchase which gives the customer to pay for theirs or get a $25/day charge if going through a toll road. The full-size we were given was a Dodge Journey. Though I'd never heard of this type of car, it is more bare bones than any car rental I've ever had. The second day with it, the key fob battery is low making it unable to lock and open the doors with the buttons. I'd recommend certainly not using this company as there are several others available. Even if the others are slightly more expensive to start, Zezgo will pressure and try to charge you for many other fees, even resorting to illegal tactics which I now have to get our attorney involved to remedy. read more

4 days ago DO NOT RENT from here. Deposit is from $250 to $1000. Hidden fees, they will try and charge you liability and say you don't have it so make sure you have your policy handy. Most states require liability. Also loss of use insurance. They shuttle you industrial area to a small run down office. Worst experience I've ever had. I stick with the major rental companies, you end up paying more or the same. The car was new and clean. Same problem with a customer picking up and the car they were given had dents and ran poorly, and the attendant told them it was normal and that's the way small cars sound. I would've given this 0 stars if I could. This place is the worst possible place you can rent a car at. For example when we got our car, they gave us a car with somewhat broken. The tires kept deflating every time we drove (there were no nails or nothing in it). We had to exchange the car, which took us about 45 minutes at the facility because they were slow and unprofessional. In addition to the car being broken, they gave us the wrong car. We were meant to get a RAV4 but instead got a Nissan Rogue. Then, when we returned our car, one of the worker names Lewis took our phone and gave the place a good review. We did not give him consent to do this, so this was not okay. After, we checked our receipt and realized they charged us for using a gps, which they gave us one and we returned it right when we picked up the car.
