    This company, and affiliate Advantage from the same location are COMPLETELY A SCAM! Scammed me out of over $500. Additionally, the car was HORRIBLE. Stunk so bad; check engine lights were on; went out of gear twice while driving; mirror buttons were broken to the point you could not adjust the mirrors. There were more than 40 dings and scratches. The interior was disgusting. Staff will not reply. I have reported to AARP, BBB, Trip Advisor, Google and now yelp. Once the government shutdown ends I plan on reporting to the FTC. I recommend everyone do the same. This is complete insanity. This company has ZERO business being licensed to operate.

    If I could leave a negative star, I would. This company exemplifies a scam operation. Initially, they lure customers in with attractive rates. We booked a rental car for five days in Orlando, Florida, for $190 through Expedia. Upon our arrival at MCO, we called the rental company and were instructed to wait at A11 or B11. After about ten minutes, we called again, and I informed the operator we needed a shuttle for eight people with luggage. She assured us it would take 15 minutes for a shuttle to arrive. However, that 15 minutes stretched to 21 minutes for a mere 5.8-mile drive. When the shuttle finally arrived, it was already occupied and didn't have enough seats for all of us. My family had to squeeze into the vehicle--six of us in the back row and my parents sharing a second row with a stranger. By the time we reached the rental location, I was already frustrated. The agent presented us with two options: A) a credit card hold of $1000 or B) a daily fee of $12.99 for a deposit waiver, with a minimum charge of $50. He claimed the $1000 hold was fully refundable but only if paid with a credit card. I only learned about Option B by reading the sign posted nearby. We opted for a SunPass, knowing Florida's tolls could add up. This increased our bill to $202, bringing the total closer to $400. Next came the condition of the vehicles. One looked like a work vehicle and had paint splatters on the interior, while another van smelled as if someone had cooked a sandwich on the engine. The cleaning was clearly subpar. When I asked the agent about the wait time for a shuttle to return the vehicle, he stated it would be 20-25 minutes after dropping off. We decided to schedule an Uber instead. The final straw was the requirement to take multiple pictures and videos of the vehicle, which I've shared below. Overall, I would much rather pay upfront with companies like Enterprise, Avis, or Sixt than face these unpleasant surprises. I do NOT recommend ZezGo at all.

We have rented from them twice, and both experiences were awful, but today was the absolute worst. Incident 1: The first time we used them, they completely forced us to buy their internal insurance, entirely ignoring the fact that our personal insurance policy already covered everything required. When we asked to speak to a manager to resolve it, we were told no one was available and to "just send an email later." Incident 2 (Today): Today was an absolute disaster. We flew in with two toddlers and a 9-month-old infant. When we got to the counter, they told us they were canceling BOTH of our reservations because we didn't have a return flight booked yet. We offered to book our return flights right there at the counter and hand them the flight numbers, but they STILL said no. Why? Because they claimed the ticket must explicitly say "round trip" on a single airline. If you fly in on Frontier and fly home on Southwest because it's cheaper? They won't rent to you--even if you are flying out of the exact same airport. It makes zero sense and feels like a trap to cancel reservations. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly hostile. The woman who immediately canceled our flights was incredibly rude. When we asked for corporate's number, the employee we were dealing with gave us the number but flat-out refused to give us his name when asked. Which we could only contact corporate or email because all their managers were currently on vacation. We were stranded at the airport for 3 hours with three tiny kids before finally finding a reputable rental company. Not to mention we had been up since 4:30 AM. When we explained why we were stuck, the manager at the new company told us they get travelers coming to them constantly with the exact same horror stories about Routes. This place has a terrible reputation for a reason. Save yourself the stress, avoid the hidden traps, and book with literally anyone else.

However, this is how they get you. Our 3-day rental should only be $201.20 total based on the booking website which did not reflect the actual total we ended up paying. I typically decline rental insurance because I carry full coverage on my personal vehicle. At pickup, though, the staff informed me that their location requires $300,000-$350,000 in property damage coverage. This is significantly higher than what most standard auto policies include (usually around $50,000-$100,000). Because of this requirement, I was forced to purchase additional insurance. As a result, the total cost for the 3-day rental increased to $380.36--nearly double the original quoted price. On top of that, my credit card was charged $388.09, plus an additional $14.51 for toll fees that I was initially told were already included. I'm sharing this experience so that others are aware and don't get caught off guard like I did. Based on my experience, the pricing was misleading, and the situation felt deceptive/scammed. Their pricing is misleading, and the added requirements are not made clear at booking. What looks like a good deal is anything but. Be prepared to pay far more than the advertised price. Also, I want to add that the receipt I got when I booked said it includes insurance. FINALRENTALS.COM should investigate this company regarding the unethical business processes.

After I made the reservation I started looking at reviews and was immediately nervous. I made copies of my insurance card and made my friend bring a copy of his. I'd previously been to Orlando but with a friend who lived near Daytona so I was very well aware of the tolls out there, we were spending our whole trip in Daytona beach with the exception of flying in & out of Orlando & staying our last night out there for convenience. I chose this place also because they had a shuttle to & from the airport, which is so nice because driving around the Orlando airport can be extremely confusing and stressful if you're not familiar with it. When we arrived I did start to feel anxious because the shuttle did take quite a while. Finally I called to ask for an eta on the shuttle and the woman on the phone said 9 minutes away. So the shuttle driver did arrive and was super helpful with getting our luggage on the shuttle and we arrived safe and smooth to the rental office. And again the shuttle driver helped get our luggage off the van. The line actually moved pretty quickly and once my friend got his insurance uploaded it was very quick to get through that part. They offered the toll pass which to me seemed high- we were going to spend the week in Daytona as I said so I declined it, I feel like they do try to get them to push that. Also, it's 2025 my iPhone shows me the non toll routes to and from- if you're not in a hurry or rush to get anywhere don't buy it. There's like 1-2 tolls between Orlando and Daytona Beach. We put a $500 deposit on a credit card and we were given a Dodge Charger. It was a little difficult to get our luggage into it but we pieced it together. We didn't have any issues with the car and it actually got pretty good gas mileage. When we returned it we just pulled right in, left the keys on the dash and got our luggage out. The car was quickly checked back in and I quickly got an invoice with a 0 balance. Soon after the shuttle arrived and the driver again helped us with our luggage. He got us safely to the airport and dropped us off- again helped with luggage. Where he dropped us though you have to go up to the 3rd floor to go to the check-in counters & TSA. This was actually a great experience. I'd definitely use them again.

We figured it must be a blessing in disguise- we grabbed an uber that we only had to wait a few minutes for and headed back to the airport to rent from a more reputable company.

After weeks of trying to get my deposit back, I received an email from Sonic Car Rental on May 24 stating that my security deposit was "scheduled to be released on June 4" and that no further action was required on my part. It is now June 22, and I still have not received my $1,000. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Sonic represented that the deposit would be released, yet the BBB closed the complaint as unresolved before there was any way to verify whether the promised refund would actually occur. The refund never arrived. To date: * No damage claim has been provided. * No repair invoice has been provided. * No explanation has been provided for withholding the deposit. * Multiple attempts to contact the company have gone unanswered. * The promised refund date has come and gone. What is most frustrating is that the company acknowledged the deposit should be released and even provided a specific date. That date passed more than two weeks ago, and I am still waiting for my money. Consumers should carefully document every communication, keep copies of their rental agreement, monitor their credit card statements, and be prepared to dispute charges if necessary. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would never rent from this company again.

When I pulled up, we were greeted with, "You are late and we are charging you a late fee!" It caught me off guard to be greeted in this manner. I explained to the young girl that I picked up the care at 1pm and paid for a full 8 days and that usually means returning the next day by 1pm was still fully paid. I am bringing it back using only 5 hours on the last day. She immediately shot back and said "you stated 6pm on your return time and it is 7:04pm and I am charging you 2 hours late". When I said, "Serious?' She said, "Yeah I am serious, you heard me". I asked for a manager to speak with and she said I could call or go inside. I was on my way to catch a flight and had no time to go to the rental car desk and find a manager. Hopefully, someone sees this and can help with the customer service on the return side of the business. I know some of these young kids are not used to talking to adults, but if you do not know how to speak to customers, do not put these employees in those positions.

I returned the next day and after waiting an hour I was told the lost and found oerson was out sick. She remained out for the next five days and I cycled through various managers who promised to get back to me. On Tuesday (7 days later) I was told no items had been turned in and that they would open a claim and check the cameras and get back to me within 24 hours. No return call, no update. I called today and they made the mistake of picking up the phone. I identified who I was and explained why I was calling amd was met with "Oh I can't really hear you, I'll call you back." Then the lady hung up and didn't answer again. So not only are we going to take things that are left in the vehicle, they are going to be super unprofessional. Think carefully before you spend your money here.

Just make a reservation with our mccoy rd location, you can use your debt card and return to a different location. This location has lower rates than the airport, so we thought it would be a win win. Arriving at orlando airport we met our uber driver ($45) to go just the few mile trek to mccoy rd. As we entered we were almost immediately shot down as they do not accept debt cards at their location because they are a "local branch". After that we were pretty much shut down and it was left to us to come up with a solution. Not great customer service. Luckily we finally found a solution, we were then told because we just flew into orlando there would be an extra charge on top of the originally quoted price. I cannot remember the exact figure but upwards of $100. Nice. All i need to say is please talk to someone above you guys to NEVER direct a customer back to your branch with these circumstances. The car was fine, wipers were trash but overall it worked well for us.
