One of the employees (bald and Caucasian) walks over from the counter, snatches the booklet out of her hands, and aggressively snaps at her saying, "Keep your hands to yourself and don't touch anything! This is not a store for kids!" Note, this is a store with Star Wars posters on their doors and jigsaw puzzles. My daughter and I were a bit shaken, but I said a quick sorry, and then it hit me - this kind of behavior was completely rude and inexcusable and I felt like I should have defended her and told him to back off. But then I realized if it happened to us, chances are this was not an isolated or unique incident. The same will or has already happened to others who visited this store. If they continue this kind of behavior, they are going to hit someone's else's nerve who doesn't have the same restraint that I did. So if the same happens to you and your child if you do come here, know that what they're doing is wrong, and absolutely fight back if not just for yourself, but for the rest of us this has happened to. To gain some perspective as well though, hundreds of cruise ships with tourists visit this store regularly. They have probably had incidents where kids mishandled and broke some items, so they are very defensive about it. But here's the thing - if you're in this business, you should also be educated enough to know how to deal with this respectfully with customers. Put a sign up saying "Children not permitted. Thanks for your understanding". Or you say, "I'm so sorry, we've had some incidents before and prefer children not to handle the merchandise. Thanks". That's it. Anyways, I hope this is a lesson in customer service to this store because they do carry a lot of very nice items. But many times it's not what you're selling that determines how good your business is - it's how you treat your customers.

I also checked in while at the store on my Yelp App and it said I was entitled to a small gift of black pearl earrings. I felt bad declining them because she said that it had been a long time since she last saw that banner and then went to see if they even still carried that token. I looked at some really nice jewelry and now I have some thinking to do.

I also had a chance to speak with Julie and learn more about the area. Julie suggested I walk up Mill St to Ketchikan Creek to watch the salmon spawning. This side trip turned out to be another highlight of our Alaska trip Overall a very nice selection of jewelry and excellent customer service with a side of local flavor. Definitely a five star experience. Instead f another picture of the store I'm including a picture of the side trip Julie recommended

The prices were on the higher side, but that's understandable since many of the items are handmade or custom made. One thing we thought was really cool was that they offer free arrowheads, which was a fun and unexpected touch. We didn't end up purchasing anything ourselves, but we still enjoyed stopping in and looking around. If you love crystals, handcrafted pieces, or just discovering unusual local shops, this is definitely worth a visit.

We had enjoyable conversations with the men working there. Yes, the more they sell the more money they make, so pressure selling is expected in a shop geared for tourists. Like we do in most shops we say no thanks, and leave. But we wanted something to commemorate our Alaska cruise, so we took our time. After finding what we wanted, agreeing on the discounts, after finding out we purchased something from their sister store in Sitka, he even subtracted that amount. We know things are marked up, and they still make money with each sale, but in the end, it is our decision to buy or not. Now, we just have to wait for our items to arrive this fall, hopefully.

It was distinctively different and of fine quality. She bought a tear drop pendant and earring set. She has received numerous compliments on it. I loved their huge selection of men's rings. I have never seen such extensive collection under one roof. The staff was very polite and helpful. I love the ring I bought from them. The owners Sapna and Vinay were fair and accomodative. They helped us finance our purchase on a affordable payment plan. I thought they were a seasonal store open only during summer. To my delight I found out they are open year round. I did my early Xmas shopping with them last week. Truly fair prices, prompt attention and excellent customer service sets them miles apart from their competitors. They will be our jeweler for life. I will recommended them to all my family and friends. They have surpassed all my expectations.

Both sales reps coaxed me into leaving the store while my husband was still there. He was convinced to purchase the bracelet while I was not there. Unfortunately, the bangle was too big and was irritating my skin. The next day we went to return it and were told all sales were final. Something that was never mentioned and only realized once purchased and printed on the receipt. He did not receive an appraisal or any documentation. After reading reviews, we fear the worst and assume the bangle is not what we were told it was - why else would it be irritating my wrist. It's a fraud!
