He also found another cavity while doing my first filling and filled it for me while I was already numb, which I am grateful for. He took the time with me afterwards to answer all of my questions. The front desk staff and dental hygienists at this dental practice are also friendly, nice, and thorough - shout out to Evelyn, my favorite hygienist! There's plenty of parking at both the Gaithersburg and Kensington locations, just a narrow entry into both parking lots.

I have seen both Dr. Edmond Woo and Dr. Wang on various occasions for cleanings and regular check-ups. My appointments are quick and there's barely a wait-time if at all every time that I have gone. My hygienist today was Evelyn and she does an amazing job as well. Staff here are all very welcoming. The facility is very clean and I've personally witnessed the staff wipe down all equipment prior to and after each patient visit. There's a nice stream of background music they play as well which is nice. There's a private lot in the back for convenient parking and street parking out in front. If you're looking for a dentist in the Kensington or Wheaton area, I would highly recommend Dr. Woo's office.

After that, I was sent to another staff member who kept pushing me to sign a financial agreement, but they couldn't clearly explain the pricing or give me a clear estimate of the total cost. I also asked for copies of my dental X-rays, but the office sent low-resolution images that weren't usable for follow-up care. Because of that, I had to pay to get new X-rays taken at another dental office. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this practice.

Dr. Tran is a nice guy, and he definitely doesn't want to cause you any pain. But I'm not sure that all the work he does is necessary. Every time I see him it seems like I need a root canal and a crown. However, I did get a second opinion at one point and the other dentist confirmed what TLC had told me. The staff is also great, and they really commit to their jobs. Unfortunately, it's not all good. One of my biggest complaints is that they never have appointments available. Sometimes I have to wait over a month for an appointment. And when I do go in, there's a lot of waiting involved. I am pretty sure they double book their appointments because after they take me back, I always wait around 20-30 minutes. Another complaint is that they do not tell you what's going on while they're doing it, what you may need to do, what your options are, or what you should do in the future. The only time you know what they're going to do is when they give you the bill. Still, Dr. Tran is a good dentist and the staff is very nice. 6/10

I talked to a couple dentists who do prosthodontics but I didn't come away confident that they could fix it in a way that would look right and last a long time. From the beginning it was clear that Dr. Sanker was looking at the overall picture of my mouth and teeth, to understand what was happening, why, and what the best solutions might be. He made sure I understood, which the other dentists hadn't really taken the time to - and created these super cool computer simulations of what my teeth would look like afterwards. His comprehensive approach (and his obviously extensive experience) convinced me to move forwards with him. I went in expecting to get 1 veneer, but ended up deciding to get 3. And they look So. Good. Really perfectly blended to match my "regular" teeth in color and size, and balancing my smile exactly right. You can't tell at all that I have veneers, it just looks I have naturally lovely teeth. Veneers aren't cheap and it is a big investment of time as well as money. To make sure it ends up being worth it, you should get yours from someone you can trust to do it right. I 100% recommend Dr. Sanker.

They have always been putting their undocumented rules and policies before a patients health. Today I went in for my daughter's annual checkup in my unstable health conditions. Instead of expressing sympathy and consideration they backlashed me with their policy. They talked to me so rudely in front of my 9 year old. Office manager took employee's side and didn't believe a single word I said. I even told her to talk to my daughter who was my only eyewitness of the incident. This situation could have been avoided if they would have just shown some sympathy towards my health and circumstances. But instead they decided to show misuse and misconduct of their authority and power. I don't recommend this practice now or in future.

Until later I went to a different place and did the exact same deep cleaning procedure, which only takes me 2 hours to recover. The difference was too big! However, a recent incident showed us that when they make a mistake, they are happy to make us pay for it. We purchased a dental insurance policy for 2024 to cover anticipated costs. My husband's care was in three phases, and first two went smoothly earlier in 2024. On October 31, 2024, he had an impression taken for an occlusal guard. However, the dentist didn't send the impression to the manufacturer or file the claim in November or December while we still had dental coverage. Nor did they communicate with us about any of this until my husband finally called them. The delay led to a second impression being required in January, 2025, and my husband coming out with a bill for $1130.70 instead of the $195.30 that should have been the total charge if the claim had been filed while we had insurance in 2024. Their lack of communication was disappointing. My husband and I have spoken to three persons of authority there, including the billing and office managers, and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their negligence is unacceptable.
