The store manager did not hear my problem, due to damage of the latch-actuator from residual broken glass as would qualify this as poor workmanship. Our hatch / latch cavity should have been 100% clear/clean from broken glass as this clean-up was attempted by your Tech, but did not remove all broken glass with the tools on-site. I received a few quotes with varying prices and couldn't decide, therefore I also did a Google search of reviews of the various places to help me make my decision of where to take my vehicle. GP, which is 45 mins away from my home, and an hour in traffic from my work, quoted me a flat rate with parts and labor included, which was $20 more than a shop in my neighborhood. The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. Use the Project tool to receive quotes, etc, but do extra homework and know exactly how much a service will cost you in exact pricing, considering your travel (gas) expenses, and time when comparing.

My story starts at Safelite, in Troy MI…read more I was there this morning for a 9:00AM appointment. One person waiting for her car (Ms. X). I was originally going to pick it up when finished, but decided to wait. At 9:30, another customer walks in and says she is early for her appointment. I watch as her call gets pulled into the service bay as mine is still in the spot I left it. Just before 10:00 someone comes to give Ms. X her keys and she leaves. At 10:00 another customer walks in and says they are right on time. I watch as their car goes into the service bay while my car is in the same spot. I see a couple of service people come to the desk and return to the service area. I go outside to take a call outside and see that there is an empty service bay and I decide it is time to get my keys and go. I went to the desk after some shuffling of papers looking for my keys on the desk the guy goes to the service area comes back and hands them to me. No apology, excuse or explanation. I say "thanks" and leave. I got home and started searching for a place for service. I called E & C Auto Glass and was quoted a price a lot lower than Safelite, and he could come out to my house in the afternoon. Marc came to my house and did the repair in an hour. He also charged a lot less. Repair looks like it was factory new. I will recommend E & C to anyone that needs to have a Autoglass repaired. Maybe it would have been different if Satellite came to my house to do the repair, but in the end, I am glad I did not pay ahead of time and I same a lot of money and supported a small business. Not to mention I have a Safelite story to share in a commercial if they want.

This location is faster than others, the staff is that typical condescendingly nice form of friendly, the price is always market rate (which is to say fair), and parking is close and free. There really isn't much more anyone could ask for from a tire place, so if you find yourself in need of a tire place and you're close to this location, head on in! Well, I got here at 9am this morning to get a warranty tire repair or replacement and it's now 10:35am and my vehicle is still out in the lot. I fear a day will be lost to get this stupid tire fixed. More updates to come. It's now 11:50 and I'm done. Since I got the tires here they removed and repaired the mail hole for free. Can't complain about that. It just sucks to lose 3hrs for a patch.
