I went to Belle Tire on January 16th 2025. My car had a terrible grinding and squealing noise. I made an appointment and they got my car in right away. It turned out to be a rock stuck somewhere around a break. They did not charge me for their time and also suggested that my breaks looked good. My husband and I bought a complete set of 4 tires. I was told on the phone before the purchase that the alignment would be checked and we would have egg writhing taken care of before we left. They lied. After the put the tires on they said they didn't have time to check the alignment and to come back "some other time." Now they claim they don't do alignments (in spite of the guy on the phone telling me they did) unless you pay even with new tires. I think they saw a couple of older people and decided to rip us off. Do NOT buy tires or anything from this store, especially if you're older, unless you want to be screwed over! read more

Had an appointment scheduled today to get four new tires and when I went there they said I was in the wrong location even though I confirmed the address a week ago very disappointed with Belle tire will never go back to them and I was spending $1200 on four brand new tires will not recommend them to anyone. They didn't even suggest transferring the tires from the one location to another and may be scheduling another appointment they were just very rude. read more

Took my car there to have a tire replaced. Took them two days to get to it, which I guess is fine during a pandemic. Maybe they are short staffed and busy, and I didn't exactly need it for work. But then they told me I had to have a new tire. Not the flat one, but a different one. They told me it was bald, even though the tire they were talking about I had replaced a few months back with a brand new one. I trusted their judgement, and then when I picked it up, there was something wrong with my tires. They were making a thumping sound when I drove off the lot and my wheel was shaking. It's still there now, but the reason for this bad review is different. During covid it's expected that all essential businesses operate wearing face masks. Their employees are not wearing masks, and there is no sanitization going on at all. I sat in there between 4 different customers and watched him communicate with them two feet away with no masks, no gloves, letting the customers lean all over and then touching the things they leaned against. No hand sanitizer was being used between customers or after touching money. Do not go here if you prefer to stay covid free. I would also like to add that the manager of the belle tire laughed in my face when I said there are people that could die if they don't take precautions. So to the lady who replied to this apologizing and saying she'll take it to management I appreciate you but also it doesn't seem to matter to them. read more

Made a call to the nearest to me Belle Tire, and scheduled an appointment based on the employee's recommendation on how long it would take for the tires to be ordered and delivered. Arrived on time for the appointment and was told the tires "didn't come in". They recommend another comparable tire that was "$12 less". I know nothing about tires so I agreed. When they were done I was charged more than what was originally quoted. I requested to see a breakdown of the cost and was surprised to see a $100 charge I had never been told about! When I asked what it was, the employee said it was coverage for in case a tire was damaged that they could not fix. I asked for this coverage to be removed since I never asked for it and was never told about it up front. Also, I was told they didn't have time to do the alignment check and I'd have to come back! Since I had to take time off work to be able to make the original appointment, I was pretty bummed to have to come back another time and again take time off work. This is my first time at Belle Tire and I definitely will not be back. UPDATE: management reached out and was very kind and apologetic about my issue. I purchased my tires from here and was faithful about going in for rotations. Just about every time I would ask if an alignment check was needed and they always told me it should be fine because I wasn't having any pull when driving. The tires are only about 38,000 miles old (I purchased the 60,000 mile tires) and my mechanic just informed me my tires were not safe to drive on. Come to find out my tires were wearing unevenly so much that the rubber was completely worn off in some spots. The staff at Belle Tire never mentioned any uneven wear during my rotations and, thinking about it now, I remembered seeing the start of uneven wear after about 10,000 miles with the new tires. Belle Tire took advantage of my lack of confidence when it comes to car maintenance. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! Demand an alignment check!!! This was a valuable lesson learned and a very expensive mistake. read more

Insulted my truck and told me to go to the Belle Tire in Okemos because they can't balance a tire. Called customer service and got the answering machine every time I called. As if that wasn't enough I got a quote for $400 to fix damage from their tire, on their wheel, with their alignment which was all new and under warranty from 7500 miles and 12 months ago. These guys are the bees knees. I took my car in because my battery and alternator were acting funny. They checked both my alternator and battery and found that it was the battery. They called the company that made the battery and called in the warranty even though I didn't buy the battery from them. They then replaced my battery and didn't charge me a penny. I had initially scheduled an appointment on August 31, 2018 for 6:00 p.m. online. I arrived at Belle Tire at 6:05 and the store was closing for the day. I was told that the system sometimes schedules appointments for 6:00 and they didn't know why. Jim, the Manager, not only offered to re-schedule my appointment at my convenience, but he gave me a discount also. I was totally amazed and very appreciative of his offer and demeanor. I scheduled for Tuesday morning and arrived at my new scheduled time and Jim got my car in quickly and his team put on my new tires very quickly and efficiently. I went to them to get my tires rotated. When I bought them, they told me there was free rotation every 6 months for life. They had my truck for a full 24 hours, and gave me my truck back without the tires being rotated. I did not find out they had not done the work until I got home and checked. I called the store, and they gave me some B.S. response. I just wonder what other work they claim to do that they do not. read more

let's start with the South Lansing location. I have been a customer to Belle Tire for years, the reason I kept going there is because (James and Shawn ) . Last year only , I spent more than $3200 having major repairs done at Belle Tire . These two gentlemen were wonderful , professional, honest , and everything you want your mechanic to be . Last year I started seeing a new guy working there named ( Felix) . He's the opposite of what I have mentioned above . He's untrustworthy, unprofessional, always talking in condescending manner . I took my vehicle for alignment which I have a one year warranty on . He checked it and told me that alignment can't be done since I have some parts needs to be replaced. Due to the fact I don't trust him , I took my vehicle a month later to Frandor location. Nolen a gentleman who works there told me he can't do it since "there is a bolt for adjustment has been smashed by a hammer " those were his exact words . So I called south side location asked for the manger "Robert" . He was very polite, asked me to stop by to talk . I did the following morning . He said " I need to check with Nolen , leave the car and I'll call you ". He called me later telling me my vehicle is ready !!!!! ( RED FLAG !!!) I came to pick up my car and asked him if anything was replaced? He responded " no , but you all set , we got your alignment like you wanted . Have a good day " . How come my vehicle needs some parts in order to have an alignment, yet all the sudden, it doesn't need anything? BIG RED FLAG . So I took my vehicle and decided not to do business with south Lansing store ever. This month , I took my another vehicle to the dealership to get it checked and have oil change. Then after I left the Dealer I stopped at belle tire in Frandoro to get an alignment since my vehicle needed one . The Dealer checked and wrote down everything needs to be replaced, sway bar links were not mentioned. At the time of pickup , Nolen printed me a receipt and ask me to pay , I chose the $96 . I notice the alignment diagram still have two tires marked with red and there is some writing . I waited a little hoping that he's going to elaborate, he didn't , so I asked what's up with these two (pointing to the marked tires). He answered " yeah , the technician couldn't do these two due to one has a sway bar link broken and the other one has rust that we couldn't adjust. You would think a shop call you before they do a service if there is something going on that prevents the job to be done right ? Nope , no one called , and they just did the two tires without even telling me, I would have not done the alignment if I knew something broken. So I took my vehicle and went back to the dealer across the street asking regarding the sway bar links . The technician told me that both links were totally fine and he didn't see any break when he inspected. He's a human being , he might miss that , not saying belle tire did that while doing the alignment. What made me suspicious is they didn't write me an estimate like they always do , neither cut the price to half since they only have done two tires, yet charged me for four tires alignment. I called the store and asked to speak to " Chuck" the manager . I have known chuck since he was managing south side store . He denied that they touch the sway bar link . I kept taking to him explaining to him my story , including the south side experience. He told me he's going to talk to Robert , what happened in the south side was " SKETCHY " in chuck words (Phone call should be recorded and management can verify this conversation ). After long conversation, he asked me to bring the car to see what he can do . At this point , I lost trust in both locations. I took my vehicle to a local shop , got both sway bar links replaced. Costs me $150 and a day missed from work , happened when you trust the wrong people . When I picked my car from the mechanic, I went to see chuck , showed him the parts (the old sway bar links) , he said it does look old , while my mechanic says it looks fresh break . He said " they should've wrote you an estimate before you leave " those were his exact words another RED FLAG . Anyway , chuck was very professional, I always liked him , he refund me the full amount , gave me his card , and told me he did an alignment , and the car should be al set . That didn't work, My vehicle kept pulling to the right when I left the shop , so I took it to another tire shop which they got it done perfectly. Friday , I picked up my winter tires that I have them valet and got my tires rotated , and that is the last time I set a foot in Belle tire shops . That's my awful experience with these two shops which I have no trust and will never step a foot there neither recommend anyone to do anything pertaining to cars . read more

Worst experience. I had a flat tire, they told me I had to buy 4. I did. Paid $987. Got in the car; the tire pressures are all different. Went back to shop said "I just paid clos to $1000, the least you could do was to make sure the pressures are the same" The guy behind the counter cut me off saying "Sir! Stop talking!" I was speechless, just left the store. He followed me to my car jabbering stuff. I had to yell "let me go!" several times before he backed away and I could get into my car. These clowns put a random lug nut in my trunk kit instead of my wheel lock key. Cost me $150 dollars to have my locks drilled out and when I called they said "it's been over 30 days" "no notes about the locks." And the dealership was $40 cheaper per tire. I called on a Saturday afternoon when having other repairs done a car repair shop because we were told we really needed new tires and were able to get an appointment within a couple of hours. We brought the car in about an hour before our scheduled appointment and they fit us right in. Worst experience. Purchase tires for a new set of OEM wheels. However, the offset wasn't correct and the wheels needed spacers. So I found quality spacers from ECS tuning at the size recommended by the assistant manager. Drove back in from Detroit to have the tires mounted with the spacers/wheels. THEY WOULD NOT DO IT. They said they would only do bolt-on spacers, these were one bolt spacers that attach wheels and spacers with one bolt that can be tighten, which are recommended. Bolt-on spacers bolts are covered by the wheel and there's no way to tighten them once on unless you take the wheel off. I was never told they would only place bolt-on spacers when they recommended them or when I schedule a return visit. These guys are clowns, go else where!!!! read more
