Dr Frye sadly ruined the use of my hand and my career as a vet nurse…read more After his botched my surgery, I have had to have 2 further surgeries for correction from his shoddy work. I went to Jewett Orthopedics in Orlando for repair of his work. I would go anywhere but to Doctor Frye. Brief History: I saw Dr Frye for cortisone shots in a failing pip joint, he recommended finger pip surgery as shots were not working. I informed him I would like to have joint replacement but he insisted it was not possible, which many doctors since then have said that it was totally possible. This was his first lie. Next, was the condition of my finger post surgery as it came out leaning to one side badly plus it was excruciatingly painful. In addition, I found out that he also injured a tendon in his surgery and never told me. It had to be repaired as well in a further surgery, and when I complained to him, his words were "Well I thought I got it straight". He sent me to hand therapy and the therapist commented on the poor surgery result. As a result they tried to splint it straight, 3 times. That didn't work, it was painful to try and they even splint to go leaning it the opposite way! And he did not stop there as he then told me I had to pay for it to be corrected from his shoddy handy work and even offreed to cut my finger off! That is when I decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion. I'm so glad I did! To correct his shoddy I had to have a pin inserted the length of my finger, down the bone in my finger for over 6 months to repair the tendon. Also, the fused joint had to be re-broken and a long plate was inserted. Then another surgery to remove the plate. To this day, it is still painful and hard to even use. (2 years on). I cannot use my finger for work or life in general. I cannot grasp my hand. I cannot use it without residual ache for hours, and a burning sensation, and I was only 59 when he did it. In conclusion, sadly all I can say is he didn't care. He turned on his heels, as after I begged for help, he just said well we can "cut it off" and then he walked out of the consult room. I'll bet this would be different if it was his botched finger surgery! My career and life was assisting in surgery with the animals. Now I can't even fill a syringe. Lastly, once you remove a joint you cannot ever replace it. Be very careful to ever remove a joint as it's irreversible, so I suggest you consider a replacement joint instead. Please research people! This surgeon may be kind to other people but he destroyed my daily life, cooking, cleaning, writing, carrying.,but most of all, I can never work again properly.

I had 2 surgeries by Dr. Moyles. The fist was on my right thumb and it went well. The second…read moresurgery was on my right middle finger to relieve a "trigger finger". It actually made things worse. Much worse. Dr. Moyles is a nice enough man, but his surgical abilities are so-so. Now my left thumb hurts, I'll live with the pain since he's the only true hand specialist in town.

I went to this office for several months. I had bi-lateral carpal tunnel release surgeries done and…read moresought treatment for pain management of arthritis in both thumbs and pain in shoulder (which turned out to be a rotator cuff tear, bone spur, and other issues). On the positive side, the office is easy to access, parking is fairly easy, and the office is clean, modern, well maintained, etc. Wait time to see the doctor is minimal and I was usually in and out if the office in record time. X-rays are done in office and there is a imaging facility across the street (NSI Merritt Island) which makes getting a MRI or CT scan very convenient. Initially I was very happy with treatment, but quickly became dismayed. I felt rushed by doctor and nurses and did not always get my questions answered or concerns addressed. Guess they were trying to keep up their on time schedule, which they were very proud of, as I heard them boast about on occasion. Unfortunately, this was at the expense of the patient getting quality care. I did not get an overall feeling that the nurses and techs were there to listen and take care of my concerns and needs. One example is I needed cotton guards to wear under thumb splints that I was given by the doctor. I was told to ask for more when the original ones they gave me wore out. Months later I asked for more. The techs seemed putout to have to find them for me and after several minutes could only locate one (I needed at least two, one for each thumb). Other concerns, I called and asked for a refill on pain medication on a Friday. No one retuned my call. When I went in for a scheduled appointment on Tuesday I was told that the doctor did not provide additional pain medication and that most people that had my surgery did not need additional medication. That's fine, but a phone call to let me know rather than telling me on Tuesday after my Friday phone call would have been appreciated. The literature I was given said to communicate with the doctor about my pain, and I tried. Instead I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. I think the doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable and proficient in their care, but unfortunately they did not take the time to convey this to me the patient.

The medical assistant told me to "Pick one or not be treated!" That it's not their fault,it's the insurance company. I called the insurance company and they told me that I can be treated for both knees during the same visit. I NEVER RETURNED! VERY ,VERY RUDE!! I delt with another local place and they treated both knees. I understand it's a cat and mouse game with the doctors office and the insurance company,But don't screw around with the patient! UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Dr Dominguez insisted on an unnecessary surgery Do NOT trust him! MRI report showed a partial…read moremeniscus root tear, including specific measurements of it. David Dominguez insisted that "they were wrong" and that it was a total tear that required surgery. Despite my knee feeling much better weeks after the MRI, he insisted that it was the "calm before the storm" and that I would experience bone on bone arthritis in 1-5 years. He said the knee will not heal without surgery sooner or later. Against my intuition, I proceeded with the surgery, based on his assertions. The exploratory procedure revealed exactly what the MRI report described. I had a partial meniscus root tear. He closed my knee up with no repairs whatsoever. His post op appointment revealed that my ligaments were intact, I only had a partial meniscus tear that "would heal on its own" and the area under my kneecap looked like that of a 20 year old. All of these statement in this review were made in the presence of his office staff. For this unnecessary and negligent procedure, his office and the surgery center will ultimately max out my $5,000 health insurance deductible, all out of my pocket. I will not take this without a fight. I have formally given him 14 days to refund my $700 deposit on the surgery and will be filing a medical malpractice claim next week unless I am absolved from all financial responsibility for this unnecessary procedure, caused only by Dominguez's improper interpretation of an MRI

At about 10:10am, I asked the receptionist what time am I going to be seen. She responded "Its 10:10am and your appt is at 10:00am". 3minutes later I then advised her that I have another engagement and would like to know what time I will be seen and the duration of the appt. All while remaining professional. She said she will find out. A couple minutes later an assistant came out offering not only disregard for the importance of my time, bt also no apology or empathy based on the delay. The time was now 10:16am and she told me if I cannot wait I should leave or set another appt. Of course I had to react accordingly to this "excellent customer service". At which point she told me to get the f&$k outta there and went to the provider. Their blatant disregard went further as I could clearly hear the discussion(still saying "F&$k outta here..." while taking to her boss or the provider I presume) in the backroom and possibly so could other clients. The provider, which I assume is her boss came out at about 10:20am, also with no apology and seeking no clarification as to the events that transpired. Just to say I was disrespectful and I should leave. I responded appropriately and left.
