I got a flat tire on a Saturday at laperla Mexican restaurant in Benton Harbor. My wife and i made several phone calls trying to get a towing company or someone to come change my tire. AAA was 3 to 4 hours and ussa was 4 hours out also. The guy working behind the counter named Izzy gave me a Zielke Towing card. called them they said 10 to 20 minutes. Their Driver showed up before we got our food he said our shop is around the corner I'm going to pull your flat tire off and take it back and fix it. unfortunately the tire was not fixable the drive said we have new tires and used tires in stock i can put one on for you. we went with a new tire was a good deal compared to other places I bought tires at. we finished our lunch as we were walking out the tow truck driver was letting the jack down. great service, great people, i cant say enough good about this company for saving the day. The only company that would help me, my car broke down in Saint Joseph I called several towing companies. Half of them didn't answer their phone the other half did but said they weren't available. I need my car towed to my mechanic in Benton harbor. When I called Zielke Towing they said no problem give us 30 minutes and we will have someone there to help you. This was at 10 pm on a Thursday night. Driver showed up in about 20 minutes. He loaded my car up got it dropped off at the mechanic and gave me a ride back home. Randy the driver who came out was especially friendly and helpful as well as saving me money. I had called to have my car towed as my attempts to jump start the car was unsuccessful, however upon his arrival (on time) Randy used his portable charger and was able to get the car started quickly. He then proceeded to run a quick diagnostics on it that showed everything was running properly. We spoke for a few minutes and as he has experience as a mechanic offered me some tips on care care that will prove useful in the future. If the need arises I won't hesitate to use this company again and would recommend it to others as well. read more

Mark is an amazing guy! My family and I were traveling and our tire blew out. we had no way of getting it fixed and we had our grumpy two year old daughter getting impatient and we gave them a call, super fast. He was the most friendly guy we have ever met. He was amazing and got us safely back on the road and in a super fast manner. Explained to the driver on Sunday that I needed a tow and told him that it was just the shell of a Volkswagen on rollers,he told me I can get it tomorrow call me tomorrow. The next day I called he then told me he can't do the tow because you didn't tell me it was on rollers . I gave the seller of the Volkswagen my word it would be moved monday. I had to call seller and tell them what I was told and in turn his garage will not be using they're services anymore either .You will get told one thing by them then they switch it up on you read more

A few months ago our car blew a tire on the side of the highway. With a stripped lock bolt on the tire, there was no way we could get it off on the highway shoulder. Mark came out and towed us back to the shop for a lower rate than other companies would have charged, and even got the lock bolt off using a flamethrower, something that we didn't have at home. I couldn't have asked for better experience then what we got from Zielke Towing. We broke down on a Sunday afternoon about an hour away from where we live. He gave us an honest suggestion about not having it towed back to our home town due to cost. He towed the vehicle back to his shop and fixed a day or two. My experience.. my car was towed. Called and inquired about it.Explained my situation and was told what to do.Did everything asked of me called tow company back to confirm they received what they asked of at that point and go over what is needed from me to move forward.While talking to female receptionist i heard a mans voice in the background started to belligerently curse. Confused about who he was talking to and where all the hostility coming from. He was talking to me then began to rant about his previous interactions with people and now he doesn't like what they do and then went on to say what he is not going to do after i did what they originally asked. Keep in mind I have no idea what people he's talking about because I have no prior dealings with this . He continued to curse and make terroristic threats and proceeded to hang up on me. So I called back spoke to assuming another gentleman this one way calmer then the other man even though I wasn't originally talking to the other man I was talking to the female receptionist. Excellent service and great people!!! Yesterday was my birthday and my wife and I decided to drive from northwest Indiana to Saugatuck, Michigan. The day before I had picked up my Mercedes 560SL from my local mechanic because of an oil leak requiring new gaskets. On the way we stopped for gas and I noted more smoke than normal coming from under the car. I called my local mechanic and they felt it was just some leftover oil burning off. So we continued to Michigan. As I was getting onto Hwy 196, I noted smoke from the car and the oil light temporarily went on. We pulled off into a public parking lot. We called a local gas station and they referred us to Mark of Zeilke Towing. Mark can within 15-20 minutes and towed us to his establishment and assured us the his mechanic could get us going again. The mechanic, Jason, looked at my car like a good doctor would examine his patients. He got the appropriate history and the took out his flashlight and thoroughly looked over the engine. He slowly and meticulously took apart the oil pan and found that the gasket had slipped. Jason showed me the problem, fixed it and then meticulously put everything back together. This guy is one of the best mechanics I have met and I have been driving cars for 45 years! Jason is a true doctor of mechanics!!! If you are ever in this area and need these type of services, there is no other people to call. Mark and Jason as well as the rest of the family members that I met are the real deal. The owner saved our day on Sunday by getting our car out of a dangerous position with one tire over an embankment. This was not an easy feat -- he could have easily damaged the car but he knew exactly what to do. Not only did he tow us out, but then repaired the tire so that we could continue on that Sunday. Truck broke down. Tow truck was there within 30+ minutes. Towed my truck to his shop where the mechanic(owner) fixed the truck within 15 minutes. He didn't charge me a dime for fixing the truck. He charged $160 for towing my Ford excursion 30 miles on a flat bed. He saved my vacation, as we were on the way to camping. read more
