I never thought I would write a 5 star review about a bowling alley - but there is a first for everything. I have been here many times, trying many different menu items, and I am never disappointed! From the pizza to the meatloaf - you can tell a lot of the items on the menu are made from scratch. The servers/bartenders are incredibly friendly and prompt. There are many different seating options from booths to high-tops which makes it accessible for everyone. The inside is spacious and allows for large parties. This review covers two visits. The first one is for lunch on Saturday and then we returned on Sunday for breakfast. On Saturday we had Fish and Chips. The fish was cod which was very good. The fries were also very good but my wife wanted a side salad and I ordered one too. The salad was perfect but that really left us with more food than we could possibly eat. While there I noticed they had Biscuits and Gravy on the menu. I'm a big fan of biscuits so we decided to return on Sunday to give them a try. The nearest place that has predictably good Biscuits and Gravy is also in Zimmerman and that place is Hardee's. My wife is from South Dakota and she liked the Biscuits and Gravy here. I was raised by a mother from Georgia. She knew how to make Biscuits and Gravy the way they should be made. The biscuits were ok. They were fresh and not days old as is typical of MN biscuits. The gravy, however, was pretty bland. The wasn't any sausage flavor because they were really stingy with the sausage. The green seasoning or garnish they sprinkled on top just shouldn't have been there. The biggest failure was the hash browns. The problem with them was a taste that shouldn't have been there. This either came from using old grease or from cooking too many different types of things at the same time and not making any effort to keep the grease from one from contaminating the other. I won't ever order hash browns here again. The Cinnamon Roll may have been good if it hadn't been drowned in some kind of sauce. It certainly wasn't worth $7. This was a special not on the menu. Hardee's wins wins the Biscuits and Gravy competition and Perkins is the place to get cinnamon rolls. If you want fried potatoes get the fries. They're pretty good! read more

Great food & bar at the back of the Bowling Alley. Lots of parking available in their lot. Bike rack is at the back by the patio area. Excellent service from our server, Tate! We were a large group (12 bike riders) that they served efficiently. Great place to stop after enjoying the Great Northern Trail (about a block away). read more

Great little local, small town bowling alley/restaurant and bar. Big, open space. Kind of dark even with lots of windows. Locals stick to themselves and are loved by the staff but the staff still takes care of the outsiders really well! I stopped in for breakfast passing through. Was what to be expected. Fair prices, everything was cooked exactly how I would want it. The bacon was the highlight. Perfectly prepared, still soft and a little chewy but a nice exterior crunch. Just really, really good. I also ordered a Bloody Mary. Tastes made with a pre made mix, which again is to be expected. Came garnish with an olive and pickle. My breakfast and two Bloodys came to $24.75 which is more than reasonable in my eyes. I wouldn't make a special trip for this place but would gladly stop again passing through or recommend it to someone passing through. read more

We enjoyed a family outing last night and were impressed with the service, the food, and the staff. Nine of us gathered for dinner and everyone seemed to enjoy the offerings. We had everything from nachos to omelets and not a complaint was heard. After dinner, six of us bowled. We will not be forming a pro team any time soon but we had good laughs and fun. My only negative comment would be about how neglected the ladies restroom was. It was dirty, smelled less than pleasant, and simply didn't match how clean the rest of the facility was. read more

Uber disappointed. I was all excited when I found out they served breakfast all day so I got the pancake platter. I wanted egg whites but they "don't do egg whites" which tells me their scrambled eggs are probably egg beaters. Then my food came. The pancake is huge but has no texture or flavor. I was really disappointed. The bacon was good though. Nice and thick. Their fries are also good but between the eggs, pancake, and the disappearance of our waitress... can't give it more than a two at this point. Sis and I were on the road and passed through Zimmerman at lunch time. Familiar with the area but not the local food joints, wanted something different than fastfood. Google brought up this joint and we were so glad we stopped in. It was quiet for a Friday, didn't see a lunch rush during our visit. The place was clean and has open sight lines from the dining area into the bar. Love the deep red wall paint, chrome details and mirror wall in the bar. I saw shelves decorated for 4th of July too....red, white, blue knick knacks. Our main interaction was with our waitress as it was "seat yourself". She was friendly and timely. She always showed up at the right time. From hello, to drinks, to ordering and delivering of the bill. Food came out quickly but by another kitchen staffer. Sis ordered the grilled Buffalo Chicken Wrap.... one of her favorite sandwiches. She said it was spicy. It looked good as it had a decent amount of sauce. This one was not dry, stingy. Side was hot, crispy French fries. I ordered the Friday lunch special...Club Wrap, with **Tator Tots**, and a bowl of soup for an extra $2.50. Soup special of the day was Chicken Wild Rice.... one of my favorites, even on a hot 90 degree day! The Club Wrap was good. It's listed on their regular menu as a sandwich but much prefer it in wrap form. Yeah! I asked for French fries but the waitress must have misheard me as she wore down Tator tots on the order ticket. We talked a lot about the menu during ordering so maybe I wasn't clear in my final decision. But it's still a deep fried potato, just a circle instead of a stick. I'll try 'em. Boy was that a nice surprise. Tator tots were nice and golden, extra crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, slightly seasoned. And the Chicken Wild Rice soup was yummy! One of the best ones I've ever had. Creamy, rice was cooked to perfection (slightly chewy, not gummy), nice chucks of chicken and the flavor hit the spot. Portions were too big to finish and we were given real plastic (reusable!!) food to-go containers, not styrofoam. And the soup container was cardboard, with a microwaveable, vented inner lid. BISCUITS AND G R A V Y !!!! I have been here a couple 3 times now for breakfast only. When you order something the first time, and it is well beyond expectations, you continue to order it!! And it delivers every time. Eventually I will order something else, but not until inside seating reopens. From what I could see of the other meals being served, they were: Large Portions Steaming Hot Nicely Presented Colorful Consumed With Gusto Timely Served The time I was there alone, brunch time on a Sunday, I sat at the bar as other people were there dining as well. I waited and waited, but the bartender was engrossed in conversation with another person. Casual talk. He ignored me. When a waitress pointed out to him that I was there, he looked at me and said " Can't you see I am in the middle of a conversation" and resumed talking even after looking at me. Ya know, sometimes you can just look at a person and know that they are an a**hole. Needless to say, I got up and sat in a big booth all by myself. At least the waitress was embarrassed for him! The Biscuits n Gravy were worth the indignation of that awful bartender. Maybe he thought he was being funny? It's only funny if everybody is laughing!!!!!! I was NOT laughing. Do not bowl here with your own ball. Bowling alley used to be a great place to meet regularly with friends who bowl. Not any more. After bowling regularly there for years, the ball return chewed up our bowling balls and the lane next to ours. When we complained and showed the damage to the staff, they pointed to a piece of paper taped to the desk saying they are not responsible for damage to outside balls. Obviously have had issues before. I have used the same ball for 45 years with barely a scratch. Now it looks like someone took a cheese grater to it. Same thing happened to brand new balls being used by our group. Staff said they may ban outside balls in the future. Not a place for bowlers. Wouldn't even comp us the cost of the games that ruined our balls. read more

Moved to Zimmerman just over six months ago, and have tried everything in town, and this is the BEST! Big clean sports bar attached to the bowling alley - but nicely separated and I've never heard a sound coming from the lanes. My only complaint would be the reception on the TV's isn't HD - c'mon, Man it's 2019. Bartenders and servers are friendly and on the ball. Food is very good; never had anything I didn't like except for the French fries - I personally can't stand those batter coated fries; give me real potatoes only! Of course you can always get the ubiquitous Tator Tots instead. Wife loves the all day breakfast, which is awesome. Pancakes are the size of the hood from an old Packard. Burgers are some of the best I've had anywhere in the area. Their Philly Cheese Steak, while not "authentic", is still really tasty and I've had it several times. read more

DO NOT get their party package. It is a total ripoff. it costs nearly $200, and you get 4 pizzas and 4 lanes of bowling for 20 people. but then they charge you $11 per person over 20 even if they aren't bowling. but you get nothing for the extra money, no extra pizza, no extra lanes, nothing. they apparently charge an extra $11 per person for them to come In and sit at the table and talk to people. they insisted it so they had space for people if they came in, but the place was pretty much empty with the exception of the people at the party, they even had the chairs on the other tables turn over. so obviously it had nothing to do with space. I will not be going to this place again, they can keep their space to themselves. read more

The waitress we had was friendly and great towards our kids. I always appreciate that. They don't have any sign saying whether to seat yourself or not so we stood in the entry way not being acknowledged by anyone.. it was awkward. We both got roast beef dinners. Mine roast beef and his turkey. Our meat was really really dry and has a weird texture. The green beans were easily the grossest vegetable I've ever eaten in my life. The cheese curds are super funky. They are like square fried bread with cheese in the middle. They were okay at best I wouldn't order them again. The chicken wild rice soup was good, our kids loved it too. Personally I think their food is way too overpriced for the quality. We may try it again in the future, I want to try their burgers. If I could give a negative score I would. 2 weeks ago my dad scheduled his retirement party her for September 16th. One week ago i was made aware they are canceling his event due to "staffing not being ready." However, the owner Dan got mad at an employee and proceeded to cancel it that day. They continue to have birthday parties, bingo, league bowling etc which pull in more business and people than my dads retirement party. I have it on good authority that the owner is just canceling the event because he got mad at the employee who set it up and he is trying to get back at the employee. Also, the GM who was recently repromoted to a position she was previously released from for taking tables for tips from the servers, first texted my dad to let him know it was cancelled. Worst management experience ever. No one should eat here let alone schedule any events. read more
