Zin Bistro is a quaint casual storefront restaurant that shouldn't be missed in Lodi. They serve good size portions of tasty American fare with European influences at a reasonable price. My attraction to Zin Bistro was the lamb shank on their menu, served while they last. It is probably the best lamb shank that I've ever had and the large portion was more than satisfying. Definitely glad I came hungry! I can certainly understand why the lamb shank is a very popular item at Zin Bistro and sells out often. Even if you don't care for lamb shank, Zin Bistro also serves equally deliciously prepared entrees on their menu with daily specials. They even offer a 3-course $20 prix fixe menu on Tuesdays. Adding their exceptional service, Zin Bistro offers a very enjoyable dining experience.

Excellent! Everything on the menu is great. And the prices are astonishing low for what you get in terms of quality.

I can count on beers I actually like (German ones. Dark ones. Stronk ones. Not IPA ones.) and rotating taps. Bags of chips but no food here. They don't seem to mind if you bring food in, at least for Wednesday night trivia. Don't quote me on it. Also. There is wine here. There are dogs. Inside and out. Woof. Trivia night was fun. Wednesdays at 6:30, every two weeks. Four categories, ten questions per category. Grade another team's paper like school. We killed the blue movies category last week. Trivia master is def a movie guy. I would come back for this trivia format, yes. This was also a good spot to watch the niner game a few weeks back. Back when we were winning. Sigh. TVs everywhere, lots of seating inside and out. That said, it's a busy popular spot full of regulars so if you want a seat for a game or event, come early. I want to come back for music bingo or vinyl night. Bring your own vinyl. Color me intrigued. Not sure what music people listen to here but I have options. They have a lot of cool stuff happening here. Mostly friendly vibes, great beer selection on local craft AND imports. Bathroom report: it's whatever. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops.

B and H has a good selection of beers of all types, a beer fridge you can buy and sit and drink them, and an okay selection of wine with prices that doesn't give you a heart attack. There's not really any table service, you just belly up to the bar, but they help you pretty fast. It was fairly clean and the ambience is quaint. Give it a try! They have lots of events there.

They have a full bar with seating all around with an open restaurant concept, where it leads into the patio. Their drinks were pretty good even though they seemed small. The chicken tenders were good and moist. The habanero chicken sandwich had really good flavor and the pizza was hearty. I really enjoyed our food. It was a really busy night, but our server was on it. They made me feel so special when they came out to sing happy birthday. It was a very nice surprise. It made my night. We had a great time!

The ambiance is modern and young with ambient music and sports screens. For drinks we tried the "paper plane" (bourbon based) and the "touch me" tequila-hibiscus based. They tasted great and yes we ordered seconds! We also tried the calamari which came very hot with marinara sauce. Delish! The main course was their Pear/prosciutto pizza topped with arugula. The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese, wow the cheese! Very tasty, I recommend it. We would like to thank our server Antonio whose excellent service and professionalism made our night memorable. Pi Bar is doing it right. Check them out !

Update 6/2026: This was a very poor showing for these guys…read more We took our parents here for Father's Day and it was disappointing overall. For the most part the food was bland. Bad: Their "Kobe" burger was $29 or so and was a good portion size. The problem? Lacking any kind of flavor or seasoning. The beef was flavorless. The stroganoff was a good portion size but again it was severely lacking in the seasoning department. Good: Those who ordered the corn soup and the porcini mushroom ravioli enjoyed them. They especially enjoyed the sauce from the ravioli. The desserts overall were enjoyed by the table. The sticky toffee pudding, while not as rich as we are used to, was still relatively good; soft and moist enough. The dark chocolate oblong with mango passion fruit was enjoyed by everyone too. The interior remains unchanged; like a classy London gastropub. Service: communication is key. Where they dropped the ball was that we mentioned on the reservation that we were there for Father's Day and prime rib, which they do on Sundays. As you walk in you even see the sign for the prime rib special. We sat down and the server mentioned that there was no prime rib this weekend. I had even chatted with them on the reservation app and they made no mention of this. We could have gone somewhere else had we known in advanced. Our server was relatively nice too.
