I should start off by saying that I did not review the wine selections. As a new resident in Ohio and a transplant from California, I have generally found the wine selections to be less then inspiring so I've given up. In terms of meat, they've got everything. Whole chickens, half chickens, quarter chicken skinless chicken, skinless thighs, bacon, sausages (Italian, bratwurst, Polish, etc.) They've got briskets ,steaks, roasts, hotdogs and hamburgers, and, of course, buns for everything. If you are looking for a casual and informational wine tasting, this is the place. Every Wednesday there is a tasting accompanied by music. The music is geared toward an older crowd and I love it. The wines to taste are always different, the service is awesome and the knowledge about wines is incredible. If you want to learn about wine or you know your wines it is a great time. There is a very nice selection of wine and if you choose not to do the tasting flight, you can select a bottle of wine and drink it while you listen to music. The food is delicious (being a meat market) the hamburgers are outstanding and the twice baked potatoes are scrumptious. An overall recommendation from a first time customer. I chose their tenderloin sandwich largely because it caught my eye and bought back memories of many state or county fairs. What I experienced was that service was reasonably prompt, the room rather sparse and needing a little attention (the floor badly needed to be swept while the wait staff was chatting), and the lunch item was very nicely plated. Very generous portions, and tasty, but far more than I could complete on an average appetite. The drink refills are self-service, as is cleaning up after oneself. The one suggestion for improvement he is in light of it being a midweek, mid-afternoon. When I entered and was chatting with both wait staff, I mentioned this was my first time in. They were friendly and accommodating, however when I asked for a specific cut of meat that they stated they could provide, they instead sent me home with a cut of sirloin roast, instead of what I asked for. I'll try again maybe and see if I can provide them an exact mapping of what the cut is and from where on the cow, as it apparently isn't a well known cut outside of the small area of California it is prevalent in. It's a wonderful cut with two grains to to the meat, which can make it irritating to carve once grilled. All in all a clean, nice place, though a bit pricey from what I've seen quality wise when compared to other similar places I've been throughout the US. read more

What a lovely establishment. Service was excellent and genuinely appreciative of us dropping by for dinner. They made us feel like we're part of their family. We both tried the Rueben for our 1st time here and it was delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and we were here during a music night which was a singer using a Kareoke machine and his music choice was excellent. The music was a nice benefit and wasn't too loud and his choice of songs were decent. A tip for 1st timers, unless your are super hungry I'd suggest ordering a single sandwich/burger and sharing it with your date for the evening. That and an additional side would be more than enough for two. We'll be back. Support local folks. If you live anywhere close to the Centerville/Dayton Mall area, you need to try this. We were searching for a meat market in the area because we really prefer fresh (not frozen) meat for cooking at home. We never quite got to the point of buying meat to take home with us because we got distracted by all that was going on there. Live music, wine tasting (every table was full), and a nice menu. Located in a strip mall one might not wonder in to this delicious deli/wine bar. Today I ordered a Reuben, stuffed mushrooms and coleslaw. It was fantastic , service was fast, friendly, and the recommendations were spot on. Did I mention they have over 400 wines in stock! We have grabbed a burger and a glass of wine here a few times and enjoyed...but this review is for the first time we bought meat from here. With Covid we are doing as much as we can with small businesses. We needed to get a beef tenderloin for Christmas dinner. Rather than getting one from Costco we opted to go to Zinks and we will continue to do this going forward. The quality was amazing. And they offered to hand trim, tie and season it. All I had to do was put it in the oven. It was the best tenderloin we have ever had. Definitely worth the extra cost. I highly recommend them! read more

This location in Centerville opened up within the past year and offers the usual selection of meats as well as deli sandwiches, wine, craft beer, and hot meals. They offer a menu of deli sandwiches or you can create your own. They have a wonderful Reuben and the burger is delicious and moderately priced. I stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and the daily special was a turkey hit shot for $4.99. The portion was large and it was very good! The prices for the food is very affordable for the quality of food you receive. They have a casual dining area which is also used for monthly wine dinners. Since my review, I have been getting the Italian sub which you can get either hot or cold. It is stacked with meat and I highly recommend getting it heated up! read more

Lots of local restaurants feature Zinks meats so we go to the source. The chorizo brats are a fave as are the homemade Wisconsin brats. You may have to call in to order them because they are popular! Hand formed burgers and excellent steak cuts are perfect here too. The bistro wine vibe is very nice and there are regular music events too. read more

Found this place accidentally, what an awesome place, had a generous flight on wines, cheese tray with ham and chicken salad, and split a burger. Guy in the corner playing guitar. Proprietors behind the bar, great personalities and knowledgeable, introduced themselves as Melissa and Dave. This place has a full deli and steak by the ounce!, how cool is that I can't eat a huge steak so to be able to buy a smaller steak but a good quality steak is impressive (I'm assuming they will cook the size you want?) my only critique would be the lights dimmed just a hair more seemed a little bright for wine and music.. and burger was a bit over cooked but still ok, this could very well be my new favorite place can't wait to go back!! read more

My family has bought their meats from the Zink family for over 50 years. The past 30 or so from the Centerville store on Marco Lane. A few years prior to the move to SR 725, the business was sold - but the customers really didn't notice any changes. The meats and service were both still excellent. Unfortunately, since their move to State Route 725 in the fall of 2015 I have been left disappointed by their service on 3 consecutive occasions. I ordered 1" thick pork chops and received chops that were only 1/2" thick. I had called in a meat order - to pick up the next day - and when I arrived they hadn't even started putting the order together. I ordered a 20 pound turkey for Thanksgiving (2 weeks ahead of time) and when I went to pick it up the largest they had was only 16 pounds. When I stopped shopping at Zink's in Centerville I started shopping at Zink's in Franklin and was thrilled to find they provide excellent customer service and top quality meats (and lots of other things). read more

The hours were posted to 10 so we had plenty of time as my boyfriend works 3rd shift and gets up a little later, we got there at 8, we were greeted by a very nice waitress who told us they decided to close early. I don't know if this is a common occurrence or not. She offered us a menu, I don't know why and she apologized. We travelled about a half hour and probably won't be back. When they have what I'm looking for, it's just ok. The quality of meat is not even as good as Costco. The big problem is, they rarely have what I'm looking for. Sent my son there to pick up some brats after he got out of school yesterday and they had none. Said to him they were going to make some and they'd call when they were done. After two hours and no phone call, he called and was told, "we'll get to them today but we're having a wine tasting right now".
