My car broke down in their parking lot. The owner, Pam, is a wonderful individual. She made sure I was safe and out of the heat and sun. She gave me free water given my circumstance. I am very grateful that my car broke down there and not anywhere else. Overhearing their conversations, they seem to know a lot about bikes. I frequent the Prairie Duneland trail starting in Hobart because it is close to where I live. Trailblazers is located right where I start my walks on the path! Previously my mom had bought a bicycle here but I had never visited the store. Since I was in the need of a new bike, since my original bike was accidentally donated, I figured this was a great place to start after my mom had such a good experience. Social distancing measures are still under affect so when I stopped by only four customers were allowed in at a time. While I did have to wait a bit to be helped it was worth it for the customer service. When I mentioned what I was looking for the employee (who I believe was one of the owners) was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction. Of course it is best to test drive a bike just like a car so I rode around the parking lot for a couple of laps while he explained how to shift gears and shared other information about the bike. I ended up trying two the second being the one I ended up buying! It rode similar to the first but has that retro look which I was sort of looking for. Overall the experience was amazing and I will definitely stop by again especially because I want to try one of their protein shakes. read more

This bike shop is located near both the Prarie Duneland Trail and Oak Savanah trails. I stopped here recently because the water bottle cage on my bike was rattling like crazy and was quite annoying. I stopped at a hardware store and could not find any rubber washers to fix it so I stopped in to see if they could help me out. They were super friendly and offered to take a look and see what they can do. 10 Minutes later my bike was ready and blissfully silent. I asked them what I owed them and they said nothing - just pass on the word on what a great shop it is and stop in and buy something next time. The have a full repair shop as well as sell bikes and biking accessories. They also have an awesome smoothy bar inside the shop. There is free parking just outside the shop and alongside the trail. Give them a try you will not be sorry. All bike tuneups include a full bike wash! read more

Great shop with a Cafe located just off a popular paved trail. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cafe options for smoothies and protein shakes are great. Bike service is available and performed by actually bike mechanics instead of kids turning wrenches for a summer like at some bigger stores. The only down side is, it is a small shop so inventory is limited. read more

Great bike shop with very caring and friendly staff!!! I was biking with my fiance and friends on a nearby trail a few miles away when I got a flat. We didn't have the right wrench to get the back tire off of my new bike. We called Trailblazers as they were getting ready to close to see if they could help. They came out and picked me and the bike up, and once we got back to the shop, they had me back on the trail in 10 minutes! Lifesavers! Couldn't ask for anything more, and it was a pleasure to deal with such kind staff! Highly recommend. read more
