After talking with many siding/gutter companies, I reached out to the Hardie distributor to get a list of contractors that they have successfully worked with/and were qualified. They recommended and I went with Maverick. Carlos and his team did a great job fixing my builder's many mistakes.

Where do I start. My house was severely damaged due to a Contractor leaving my ridge line open…read moreduring a storm. DGK swooped in like they were saints and I used the to fix all the damage. They stated that they could have us back in my house by 18 December 2025 and if I pay 23,000 more work won't stop due to insurance. That did not happen. This issue started in July 2025 and DGK still had not finished my house when I fired them early February 2026. 7 months of them dragging my along. They would do very little work then ghost us for weeks. Ignoring text messages and phone calls. They kept saying they need more money. When asked to see invoices, purchase orders etc James Wocher told me that's not how it works. Really? I, the customer can't see where MY money is going. My final issue that set me over board was they neglected to put insulation in my roof during this record setting cold winter causing me to have Propane filled up 5 times now since December 8 2025. James stated it's not their fault and I must have a leak. I paid another contractor two months ago to check for leaks and weather my crawl space but James still won't take responsibility. Then more water damage was seen and DGK refused to send someone out to stop the leak instead stating I don't need their insurance information or license and bonding information. All required to be given to a client. After having MY insurance access the damage it was found that DGK did not install a proper ice and water barrier in the valley of my roof and since no insulation was in my attic the ice and water entered my home and destroyed more of my home. It was also identified that none of the insulation they did install is not up to code. The two vents they replaced for me in both bathrooms is also not up to code (not vented anywhere). This company is stealing money and not fixing what they were supposed to up to code. James claims the refund from the insurance for the 23,000 I paid belongs to them which is not even remotely theirs. I have not seen an invoice or anything proving they used all of the over 150,000 my insurance paid them. Do not waste money or time with this company. They also tried to instal a French door without insulating it. Really? There's plenty more to tell but I'll leave it at this. Update: James is again claiming false statements when all issues were identified by Insurance adjuster and licensed home inspector. I had to pay for the insulation myself which is over 5,000 dollars that was sent to DGK to complete. Where is my reimbursement for that. We will let the law decide who's in the wrong. All code violation are very real and the fact he chose to bash my review proves he's reaching too far on this. As for the ICE issue, we had three workers call us and threaten my family if DGK did not pay them for work done at my home. One stated they had no papers to be here is why James won't pay him then threatened to paint my house all black. I'd say I have a leg to stand on when it comes to that.

After talking to a few companies, we went with Coldstream for the estimate and ultimately the job. Insurance covered a few slopes, but not a full replacement, however we had them do a full replacement to get it done now and not worry about it again. Coldstream was in constant communication with us and the insurance company to try and get us the best value for what was being covered. After the job was completed their crew did an amazing job cleaning up, it was like they were never here! No flat tires for this neighborhood!

The workers showed up to inspect the site without telling me they were coming but then they were able to set a time that they would be there to do the job. The quote that they gave me was very appropriate and it was good value. The job was done and everything was very professional. I had more work for them to do but unfortunately the communication sort of fell and I never heard back from them on the additional work that I wanted done. I even had the foreman's number and texted him multiple times but he never got back to me. So they did the job but for some reason they didn't want any more money from me.

When it came to the quality of work when replacing my 35-year old roof, Deer Park Roofing was…read moreabsolutely amazing. A large crew arrived at 7:00 a.m., the crew boss introduced himself to me, asked where the outlet was and patiently listened to my concerns. The crew was industrious and, according to my neighbor, more joined them as the day went on, so at one point there were 20 people working on my roof. It was completed in a day, looks amazing, and was done with a high level of quality, according to my neighbor who is himself a contractor. The driveway (where they dumped the old roof into the garbage truck) was pristine when I came home from work. Everything they did spoke of expertise, great work ethic, and excellent workmanship. What I wasn't really thrilled with was the inconsistent customer service. It seemed like a patchwork variety of people who worked with me at one time or another during the process, and no one really kept me informed on what was going on. The initial assessor gave me minimal information on even simple parts of the process, like how a choose a shingle color. (You waited a week to tell me (only when I specifically asked) that I could go to the office and take some shingle samples home, so I can compare it with the house color?) And the morning of the roofing job when I had a concern regarding one of the employees, the crew boss was dismissive of it. I called the office and they sent out a supervisor, but no one got back to me on what happened. (I didn't need details -- a simple "we looked into it and resolved it" would have been sufficient). But what really sticks in my mind was when the job was completed. There wasn't even a text message to notify me that they were finished, or any type of conversation or report on how it went. I came home from work to find them done and gone. Finally, after not hearing back from them (or even getting a bill) for a week, I called the office and was told that "earlier this week" (I assume 4 or so days after the initial work) a Deer Park inspector came to my house, checked the workmanship and approved it. So you went on my property without my knowledge and walked on my roof? And at no point discussed what you did with me or showed me pictures of the results? So would I use Deer Park again? I'd have to think hard about it. I hate being in the position of either choosing great workmanship/expertise or good customer service towards the property owner -- is it too unrealistic to expect both?

However, we did not want to ice dams that caused winter leaks ignored, especially since we were replacing the roof in the spring when snow would not be expected for another 8-10 months. Both the person who gave the bid and the supervisor of the work proposed the same solution. This made us feel comfortable that what they suggested might work. (Come back next winter!) The day they planned to replace the roof, rain was predicted. They let us know they would come the next day, unless rain was again predicted. They arrived at 7:20 with 8 workers and a supervisor. They finished at 2:30 pm. The roof looks great. We are the third house on our cul de sac to use Deer Park Roofers. We all are happy with their work.

I had questions from the first estimate and the guy ask what company. I didn't like that.i was up front to all 3 companies that I wanted 3 estimate before I did choose. So at the end he said they would send the estimate out and did i want him to tarp cover the skylight .we were going to get heavy rain the next day .I said yes but he said that 250 today .I was desperate so I paid for a 5 minute job .I regret saying yes.it was excessively expensive. The 3rd contractor came out said we didn't need a new roof give us a quote problem resolved. 3 rd contractor couldn't believe that they charge 250 for a tarp job.and this roofing contractor the financial half done and the financial company they use over 12 percent interest. I regret i ever call this company. I did file a review with the bbb. If you deal with this company have someone with you that understand construction.
