Wow, went zip lining yesterday for the first time and it was awesome. The staff at Zip are safety first the entire time while on the vast property in Lost Pines.They have one of the only dual line zips in the state and they many spots to zip from for just a great experience. I was there on a high school field trip and the staff had a nice set of warm up drills to for getting the Freshman to interact with others outside of their social circle. read more

If your going to spend your money zip lining this is the place to do it! At first glance we weren't going to go because we thought the price was a bit much for zip lining, but for what you get the price is absolutely worth it, and I recommend it to everyone! I had the best time I have ever had in my life. I am particularly scared of heights, but the course starts off small and gets higher and longer as you go on. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and to my surprise we actually didn't have to do as much walking as I had anticipated. The short walks we did have through the trees and hills were much enjoyed and there was water when we needed it, we also saw some wildlife as we walked as well. Our tour guides Colton and Erik kept things fun, but safe at all times. We had a great experience and we will definitely be going back very soon! read more

#1 thing, you should go on a zipline tour at some point. It's a lot of fun. The staff was very friendly from the beginning. I had a bit of trouble booking online but the staff responded quickly to my email and got us taken care of. When we got started and put on the equipment the staff made an effort to see how we felt...nervous, excited etc and seemed to take a real interest in making our unique experience great. The staff was professional and safe, the unique views of pine trees and an eagle's nest as well as the Colorado River was awesome. I would 100% recommend someone go here for their zipline tour! read more

Allison and Zeth did an awesome job on our zip lining tour today!. They made sure we were safe, shared lots of interesting information, and we had a blast!. It was a small group of four, so there was hardly any waiting for the next line. The bridges were fun and you're hooked in, do you can't get hurt our fall off. The lines were great - especially the last three. The stop at the end of each one was really nice - as I've been zip lining elsewhere and it felt like you were crashing each time you landed. We made reservations and drove 4 hours specifically for our son to zip line here for his birthday. The night before our tour, they emailed to cancel because there weren't any other people signed up. Ugh! So frustrating. Of course they offered a full refund, but what a disappointment to our son. I couldn't find anywhere on the website that there was a minimum ticket number. read more

Zip Lost Pines was a great first time zip lining experience. If I remembered the names of all of our guides I would list them all but West, Sarah, and Alison were all very nice. They were very accommodating for my mother who became a little anxious after the first couple lines and called someone to pick her up and take her back to the main area. read more

Here we are at the soft opening of Zip Lost Pines. My first zip line experience. Courtesy of a friend who works here, couldn't resist the generous offer to be one of the first customers. First, the facility from front office to zip line course is beautiful, comfortable, inviting. The views and scenery are beautiful on this LCRA land. There is a horse back riding trail on the same land. Second, everyone on staff is polite, courteous, and obviously have safety as their #1 priority without being like drill sergeants. All you do is relax, listen, cooperate, and let them do their jobs which they have been well trained to do. You may think that they are redundant or taking too much time performing safety measures like transferring you between stages, but they are not. They are professional. I felt totally safe. The equipment was all new. Third, this is super fun! Don't freak out. You're in for an awesome time. There are six rides. "Tours" take 3 hours. There are water coolers around the course, but no bathrooms, so you will need to use the restroom by the office before you embark. Look for eagles near the 3rd and 4th stages. Incredible Colorado River view. Only one kid, (middle school age) was in our group. All ages of adults. Important note: weight limit is no less than 70 lbs, no more than 250 lbs in order to ride. Leave your valuables locked in your car, or in the lockers in the office. We did not bring our cell phones on the course to take photos. They are working on adding that extra. Possibly helmets fitted with GoPros in the future. This is a fantastic attraction for anyone staying at Hyatt Lost Pines, or weekend thrill seekers. Big thanks to our guides, Anna, Daniel, and Stephanie, and to John for the invitation. With this beautiful weather, now's the time to return to Zip Lost Pines for some serious fun, Give them a call and request John Whitney as your guide! read more

What an excellent experience! Zeth and Allison were a fantastic send/receive pair for our group. Very friendly and informative, and safety-minded too, of course. Definitely recommend this facility. Nice equipment and large platforms. Everything is new, fresh, and clean, including the bathrooms and the vehicle that takes you back to basecamp. Everyone seems to be well trained. Appreciated the water jugs and benches to rest on. The runs are long and interesting, and the views are spectacular. See the famed Loblolly pines and wildflowers too. Huzzah! read more

This was my very first time zip lining and the staff made me feel very safe and secure. Went with my son-in-laws and they said it was challenging but fun. Well had I actually went on a zip tour I'm sure I would have had fun. My whole experience with booking was exhausting to say the least. I spent a full day calling leaving messages on their business line (during displayed business hours) with no returned calls. I finally decided to send a message on the FB page and Amanda responded to me and I was able to call her and she told me that they had no tours that day so no one was in and that is the reason no one answered my calls (even though these are your broadcasted business hours). The website displays three times they hold the tours (9 am, 11am, and 2pm). I don't live near Austin, I was driving in for the weekend to visit. After I had already paid for two tours that I wanted scheduled at 11:00 am, she told me they are only doing tours at 2:00 pm (also not displayed on the website that only one tour a day will go out). I told her I had an appointment at 5:00pm and she assured me the tour guides were quick and could have us done in enough time to get to my appointment. I agreed and she called me again the next day around 11 am and told me some other people had booked and she didn't think I would make my appointment anymore and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Again the next day ONLY 1 TOUR was going out at 2:00pm. We were heading home that day, so after check out at noon we just decided to head over and just wait until 2:00pm. We got there around 12:50 pm and when we walked in Amanda told me she had been trying to call me to let us know of the high winds and they had to cancel and we could reschedule again. I looked at my phone I received a missed call at 12:37 pm from her. At this point I was over it, I don't live near this place to keep rescheduling. I feel like had they let us gone the day we booked at 11:00am (an advertised time) we would have been able to enjoy the experience. I've been zip lining before and bought this as a surprise for my friend that had never been and he was very disappointed with the lack of organization from the company, safe to say if we ever return we will look up the other zip lining companies in the area! Only thing great about it was that I was issued a full refund! read more

Awesome! My wife and I went to the Grand Opening of Zip Lost Pines yesterday (10/28/16). What a tremendous experience. Everything is top notch and customer service oriented. Everyone we encountered was professional, courteous and super safety conscious. I have been involved in ropes courses and experiential education for many years. I was amazed at the incredible equipment they had, the pulleys, the harnesses, and the cable systems were ABSOLUTELY state of the art. I watched carefully as the Zip Lost Pines staff member connected each of our harnesses to the cables. He was absolutely flawless and so thorough in double checking that everything was connected correctly before we were allowed to proceed. Even though we were traversing deep valleys, I felt 100% safe. They even sequence each section so you have a short line first and you get to experience the safety of the cables and gain confidence with the equipment before you go on to some of the more exciting ones. I have never been on another zip line course, but I have ridden MANY zip lines. This is the ultimate. There were two other couples with us and I know they felt the same as my wife and I did, this is cool to the nth degree. A great anniversary experience, a great way to celebrate a birthday, and a great opportunity to experience the great outdoors!!! Just do it!!! You won't be sorry. read more
