Our family from Australia have used ZIppy Shuttle service since 2009 on our frequent trips to USA to shuttle us to and from LAX During our recent visit in November/December 2012 we also used Zippy Shuttle. As usual service was wonderful. Always on time and courteous. This tiime we also used Zippy shuttle service for sightseeing trips. On one day trip Ken took us to Hollywood, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. On the other trip we visited Laguna and Newport Beaches. Ken's knowledge and insight proved to be invaluble, he also did not mind taking us to out of the way shops that we requested. Nothing was to much trouble for him. EDITED: It's been a little over four months since I wrote this review, and a few days ago, the owner of Zippy Shuttle called to profusely apologize for his behavior and for our bad experience. He offered to refund all our money, but I only needed a refund on the leg of the trip that never happened, so he also gave us a $50 company credit. **************************************************************** I wanted to love Zippy Shuttle. And for the first two legs of a three-legged trip I did. They were punctual and friendly and awfully convenient for getting to and from the airport. On the second leg of the trip they got us to our next destination on a deadline in a hurry. However, the third leg of our trip was a nightmare. One week after I made the initial reservation, I changed the pickup time for the third leg. Zippy Shuttle confirmed the change in an email then and again a few days before the trip. However, on the actual day, the driver never showed up because he still had the old pickup time. When I called Zippy Shuttle, they said they could send him out but it would take at least 30 minutes or I could cancel and get a refund, but I had to decide right then. After waiting for another 10 minutes and trying to figure whether we were going to make it to the show we had tickets for, we decided we had too much to lose and should take one of the taxis waiting a few feet away at the hotel. When we called back, Zippy Shuttle said they absolutely would not refund our money because their driver had already gone 10 minutes out of his way. read more

Last year I had to use the "blue" shuttle. Though they were efficient enough the ride was not something I want to go through again. So at last minute I researched other shuttle services in the LA area and I found Zippy. I was somewhat hesitant - they didn't have much reviews and you had to book through email (with your credit card info). But it worked out perfectly. I was super busy with work so I didn't have time to to chase up with confirmations or to even look at other companies. I forgot the driver's name but he was the owner and he picked up on time like the email said. It worked so smoothly that if I were to be sent back to LA I will most definitely use them again! read more

i gotta show some love for the zippy! based on yelper reviews i tried zippy for the first time recently. i booked a private van easily online and got a quick and friendly reply from the owner and a very competitive rate. the driver was at the airport waiting when our flight arrived at LAX. they seem much more reliable than the services i have used in the past. i give them 4 1/2 stars. would have been 5 if the van i had was a little newer or nicer. i plan on using zippy from now on so if next time i get one of the better vans and same great service i will definitely change my rating to 5 stars! go zippy go! read more

Do not give your business to zippys shuttle on march 18, 2013 my kids and i waited for zippys shuttle to be pick up at our hotel. Made a payment and waited at 3am as agreed and Ken emailed me a confirmation emai. Monday march 18, 2013 we waited from 3am to 310am and called Ken no answer. Text him and he text back saying it was cancelled not by me. I made the payment did not cancelled so this company took payment and left me and my kids stranded. Fairfield hotel was a big help calling a cab for us. We have a 610am flight to Seattle to attend my 12yr old son father funeral. Thank god we got there on time and made to the service and funeral for my son father. Still waiting for respond and refund from Zippys shuttle Ken you are unprofessional and a thieft. read more

We booked Zippy after reading horror stories about by SuperShuttle and Prime Time. Ken was very responsive and thorough when we first set up the reservation, which involved two legs - Burbank aiport to the San Pedro Cruise Terminal, and then Crowne Plaza to Union Station (we took the Coast Starlight back up to Seattle). Ken was both friendly and professional. He offered us bottled waters, which were welcomed. The van was clean and comfortable, and the ride to San Pedro was enjoyable. On the second leg, Dell was also friendly and professional. We were thrilled we could trust Zippy to get us where we needed to be on time and without a hitch - we recommend them wholeheartedly!!! read more

Kenny, the proprietor of Zippy's, did a great job for us. He picked us up at our hotel at LAX and took us to the San Pedro cruise ship docks. On the way, Ken went out of his way to give us a tour of the Long Beach and San Pedro harbor areas, very interesting. After our cruise, a Zippy driver picked us up and took us to our hotel in Marina del Rey. Good service, highly recommended. I would use Zippy's again. read more

I can't say enough about Kenny and Zippy Shuttle. My boyfriend Eric and I have been driven by Kenny, and sometimes his equally awesome second-in-command, Ming, to many places. Round trip to Disneyland? Many times. To the San Manuel for a concert? You bet. With 2 hours notice? Of course. Kenny has never said no. We've stopped for coffee, gone through a drive thru or two. Used Zippy for round-trip transportation from OC to LAX. Chrysler minivan picked us up right on time from our home. The van was clean and comfortable with two captain's chairs. Returning home from LAX, we called Zippy as soon as we got our bags and the van showed up within a couple of minutes. Same model van, same clean and comfortable setup. Two things get Zippy a five-star rating: customer service and price. Ken, the owner, handles all reservations and cares deeply about ensuring that everyone has a satisfactory experience with Zippy. Kenny was amazing; showed up on time both to take me to and to pick me up from Burbank airport (even in the middle of an earthquake)! He was a total gem, and I will use them every time I need a car. I used Zippy Shuttle to get between downtown LA to Disneyland while on vacation with my family. The owner, Ken, was extremely nice to deal with over the phone and by email and he was always quick to reply. He went out of his way to get us the best rate for the trip and was very flexible with the pick-up times on the day of the trip. The only thing was that the particular van we were picked up in had a sign that said gratuity was NOT included (which I thought was wrong), so we tipped the driver. After checking my confirmation email later, it did say gratuity WAS included. Regardless, the driver was super nice and always on time, so he earned the extra tip. Overall, I had a great experience with Zippy Shuttle and I would recommend them to others! read more

I have not used their services, as I was tyring to get info and plan our big trip I sent an email for a quote. They answered me and the message was deleted by mistake. When I sent another request back explaining what happened I didn't hear for over a week. Sent one more request and the quote went up $30. When I sent back asking why they said they sent it already and thought I was'nt being serious. They were nasty and I'm glad I found out before I used the service. read more

We used Zippy to transport our group of 14 in Burbank to and from Medieval Times. Aside from him giving us the best deal (A LOT less than Super Shuttle and Prime Time), Kenny was super friendly, funny, and polite! He was on time and was a very safe driver. He also knew all the best lanes to be in for our trip down there. This was for a surprise party, and he had some fun with that! Zippy was pretty rude to me- demanding payment within 15 minutes of a deadline they had just set -which involved me emailing or phoning through my credit card number and *yelling* -(not sure what you'd call it over the net) by email at me for the slowness of my paypal payment arriving. I am sure if all goes well they are great-but if it doesn't....when I declined to provide my credit number by email without checking on my paypal payment first they cancelled my booking. On the plus side they didn't dispute my paypal dispute claim and repaid the money! I would be happy to forward onto to anyone the emails they sent me for you to make up your own mind -if it doesn't contravene yelp rules. read more

I don't see how you could do better in the shuttle category. It was easy and quick to book our trips (LA to Disneyland and Disneyland to OC airport), the price was better than other shuttles, and the shuttles were on time (early, in fact). The shuttles have GPS and the ride was smooth, with the driver never using his cell phone during the rides (yes, it's the law, and no, people don't always follow it). The shuttle seats were clean and the belts worked. The a/c worked fine if not super powerfully, but we were comfortable. The luggage hold was about average in terms of other items floating around in it, but it was not dirty. When we had to switch our pick up time by half an hour, we did it by email and had a response in about 2 minutes. From the reviews, it seems like some people are trying to get the Boston Coach luxo-experience in the shuttle category. I was very pleased with Zippy and how it took care of my family on two important links in our vacation plans. read more
