If I could leave negative stars, I would. Took our Tahoe through. The operator failed to turn the water on the first pass through, so he sent me through again. By this point, the damage was already done. Dry brushes left me with severe scratches to the roof and hood. When I noticed and took it back to discuss it with the manager, he came out of the office with a sample of the brushes claiming there was no way that was caused from their wash. This tells me they get this complaint a lot if they have a response at the ready. Common sense tells me that if the car is dirty, and the brushes(regardless of how soft they are) aren't lubricated by water, it's going to cause scratches. Regardless, the manager claimed he would submit a damage claim. It's been over a week with no correspondence, so I checked in with corporate, and they've received nothing. They told me to go back and talk to the manager, which based on my previous visit, would be a waste of time. Zips doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for their error, neither at the corporate level or local. Very disappointing. For value of damage. Professional detailer said no amount of paint correction would fix this. Two body shops have quoted between $4-5k to fix stating it needs to be repainted. Stay away from Zips. read more

I have the Zipps Car Wash unlimited plan from the Holly Springs location and when I went to the Fuquay location, it was not the same level of service or experience. The HS location always has plenty of clean cloths out for customer use, lots of bottles with the various spray solutions (dash, glass) and the vacuum suction works even if 10 people are using the hoses. The Fuquay Varina location was everything but. There were a few clean cloths, not many but a few. One unlabeled spray bottle which looked like it was probably for glass and the suction was weak. Could barely vacuum the poly fill that escaped from my daughter's plushy toy. When someone else started using a hose, that weak vacuum dropped to non existent. It couldn't vacuum air. Yes, you read right. Not even air and I know because the sun was illuminating some dust getting kicked up and when I put the end of the vacuum near the floating dust particles, the dust was undisturbed! The kid working there was nice but the car wash itself was not worth paying a sub for if it was the only or most ideal location for me. Which it is, the most ideal location. I've always had great service here. During peak Covid there was a distressing state of disrepair of machines at this place and low staff, yet the service they were able to provide was always done with great car-side manner and attentiveness. It's a basic car wash In a location that is very convenient to me, I have a favorite vacuum cleaning stall and I enjoy the staff. I feel quite loyal, I won't be changing car washes in any near future. I'll keep giving them my money on auto pay and showing up once or twice a week to keep my ride squeaky clean. read more

My first experience with ZIPS left much to be desired. Paid for the best option and when I got home the driver side and trunk area looked untouched, although the Clearcoat was there. I went back the next day and was told "sorry". No ZIPS for me ever again! Very inconsiderate employees. read more

I have gone there about a half a dozen times to give them a chance. But stay away and find a better place. The parking lot is full of debris from people cleaning out their cars.. You have to ask for the towels and interior cleaning liquids. The vacuums don't work well. You will end up getting annoyed and go home and use your own equipment. Also a woman asked one of the young guys there working "Where are the towels and cleaning supplies". They said "we don't do that anymore" So when I asked he rolled out the cart with the rolled up microfiber towels and sprays. This happened on a Saturday afternoon. TO Anyone at Zips please clean up your act, maintain your equipment and hire people that have some work ethic. To Potential Customer - Find your self another Car Wash and avoid this mess. read more

First and last!!! Only difference between when i entered as to when i exited was now my truck had soap all over it. I basically just paid $20 to have what was already on my truck.....smeared. The windows looked like i drove through a waterless carwash. Now my truck is covered in bristle marks. I really want my $20 back. I've never been this unsatisfied with a car wash. Was a great service for a reasonable price until the management did 2 things: 1. No longer use brushes to wash front and back of cars, only using high pressure waster wands, 2. Sped up wash. No longer cleans or dries cars. Can't wait for new wash to open next spring on Main St. will self wash till then. read more

With the pandemic lots of turn over of employees as with all the businesses right now. But! The have a terrific regional manager, Brandon. He has literally turned that place around and he cares. He's managed to upgrade the equipment and is recruiting regularly to get a reliable team. Our monthly membership is the best deal. We whip through every time we drive by. This used to be a decent car wash under the previous ownership but it is terrible now. Don't waste your time here. The last time I got a wash half the vacuum cleaners were off and one of the brushes inside the tunnel was tied up and not working so I got 1/2 a wash. They sure charged me full price though. Every car in our household is on the unlimited Carwash package at American Pride. We take advantage of the package and get the cars washed as much as possible. We love the vacuums and the FREE mat wash. We like to bring towels and dry our car off really quickly after it is washed, the cars always look fantastic. The only complaint that we have ever had with the carwash is that we had an employee take the antenna off with pliers. This badly scratched our new truck ($700 worth of damage.) Luckily they were able to pull the video tapes of the employee using the pliers on the truck, which he had denied. After they had the proof they needed the truck was sent to an in town body shop, which did a great job with the repair. Since the incident they have not attempted to take off antennas on any of our vehicles (possibly a policy change?). read more

Absolutely last time I take anything to this car wash. The self serve was is absolutely junk. No pressure, and card readers don't work half the time. I spent $20 on self serve when I first moved here and it did absolutely nothing. The automatic wash is ok and was good with my old truck but I'm not taking my new truck through that wash. Another day I took a swim platform from a boat that I had up here to pressure wash it at the self serve and card reader stopped working right in the middle of the wash. I quit coming for a while and then I made the mistake of going back to this wash right after I purchased a new truck. After I swiped the card nothing came out the nozzle and the time was running. Went through some of the other options and it was only available in 2-3 of the options. So I started it wash got one side done it started beeping. Real car washed that I've been to you swipe once don't have to worry about it and it charges you only for the time. Well card reader wasn't working. You think in 6 months they'd get it fixed. I spoke to someone who gave me very poor reassurance. At first it sounded like he wasn't going to do anything so I walked off. He then offered me a free razor wash. Tried to justify it because it's a premium wash. I worked as a manager in a way better car wash in high school, I know how much it cost to run a car through so you're not doing anything special for me. Poor customer service and absolutely terrible car wash. I will never return here as long as I live in Fuquay and I will make sure my friends and family avoid this place. Update: guy came by to talk about the wash. I don't know what he was trying to convey to me, I told him nicely I would not be back here. He didn't say a word walked off. Great customer service. Update 2: truck was so dirty from the touch less wash I had to track down the guy again. Convinced me to do automatic wash even though I really did not want to do it. No other options given. Feeling defeated I gave in. Update 3: after two hours of fighting this place I used the remaining energy to wipe down my truck only to find the roof scratches that were not there prior. Hands down, this was the worst self serve car wash experience I've ever had! The credit card reader was broken. No problem, I had quarters... I just wasn't prepared for how many would be required! There was low water pressure and after the initial starting price, each additional quarter only gave about 5 seconds more time. To add to the fun, the machine switched to power wash while I was in the middle of rinsing, so I had to keep feeding it quarters just to get out of there. They definitely need to clean out the lines because it smelled like I was washing my car with swamp water. I probably spent $15 and my car is still dirty! I will never go back!!! read more

I used to love this.. went through every other day and my vehicle was always nice and clean. However, I just realized it's been damaging the exterior of my car! The paint is scratched from the brushes - the entire hood and sides. It's awful and now we need to pay more money he to get it buffed out. THIS IS FOR THE FUQUAY, NC LOCATION. This place sux. They don't open up on time. I'm talking like 30-45 min late. I got the best package and they gradually stopped doing all the steps for the best package. If they do decide to do the pre-rinse, it is a half as#$d job and won't even do an ENTIRE side of your vehicle. 4x in a row, all of a sudden my rfid scanner doesn't work. Each time they get my rfid#, name, license plate and phone #. Shhh still doesn't work. They break belts in the carwash so it's down sometimes. Grounds maintenance exiting the carwash tunnel could be better. Why get your car cleaned and then drive through trash on the other end? What? YOU WILL HAVE LINE-TYPE SCUFF MARKS IN YOUR PAINT FROM THE BRUSHES TOO. THE ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT THIS CARWASH IS THAT YOU CAN USE THEIR VACS FOR FREE EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING. I've personally heard stories from employees that he bad mouths the people of Fuquay Varina calling them "toothless hillbillies" and just being nasty in general. So I have a full Lava membership at this car wash, and they decide to tell me to keep my car in recirculate because a new chemical will mess up my A/C. About a week later my A/C stops working, and it blew cold air since I bought the car back in early 2017. I try and talk to the manger when I go up there but for some reason he is never there. Then when I call the offices the lady on the phone asks what year my car is. I told her it was a 1999 and she rudely comments and says "maybe that's why your a/c doesn't work". Now this lady is lucky she was on the phone or I woulda pimp slapped her self back to 1999 to fix my cars a/c. This car wash is trash and if you want bad customer service then go check it out. read more

DONT GO HERE! I spent $20 on a car wash while on my lunch break and when i got out, my car was covered in water spots, and all the bugs were still on my front bumper, despite the fact the a guy "scrubbed" it before I went. I didnt print a receipt to save paper, and I knew it would show on my bank statement anyway, and because I didnt have time to go back through again bc my lunch break was over, Karla at American Pride told me that instead of refunding me, like she said they would on 7/12, they would offer me a gift card to go back through. I don't want to go back through! Why would I go back to a place that did a bad job?! Instead, I'll go to DIRTY CAR WASH, also in Fuquay, pay $3 more to have them HAND DRY my car after the wash, and get a free car wash after a buy so many. Not to mention that they wouldn't have even let me see the bugs if they were still there bc they would have washed them off manually if they hadn't come off in the wash. AND they use the exact same wash products as American Pride. Keep your $20 gift card bc I'm never going back! read more
