I am a new member to Zips in Saukville, WI for about a month now. Last Wednesday (11/3) around 8:45am, I took my brand new car to get washed. While in the car wash, I heard an odd noise. Upon getting out of the car, I noticed that there was a area of the back passenger side window piece missing - basically ripped off. I went to speak with the manager right away & filled out an incident report. While still at Zips, I asked the manager to look for the missing piece in the car wash area while there were no cars going through the wash. She looked, but could not find the piece. She did however explain that Wednesdays are 'pit night' and if she found the piece she would give me a call. Otherwise, I should just wait to hear back from someone within 72 hours. I have yet to receive a call regarding the incident.  As I explained to the manager, I hold Zips accountable for the piece of my car that is broken and I expect it to be paid for. Please note that not even 15 minutes prior, I dropped my children off at school and the piece was intact. This is not a windshield wiper, a mirror sticking out, or an antenna. I should not be concerned about a fully intact piece of my brand new car from being torn off in a car wash. read more

I just cancelled my membership after less than 2 weeks. I went there 5 times and was told twice That they didn't think I had a membership and twice the car wash was broken down. I called customer service and THEY seemed to know I had a membership. I hate leaving this review, because I want to support small business-but people need to be aware. We were recently charged $35 on our credit card when we have not been to this location in some time. We ended up on the phone with corporate, to find out that the last time we were there, someone working there signed him up for a membership unknowingly for someone else. The phone number and License plate they had on file did not match our vehicles and someone else had been using it. I admit that I have enjoyed the service in the past mainly due to the free vacuum service. Generally the guys @ the end only put into their job the level of effort they feel like. Having said that, this past Sunday (9/26) I went thru the wash only to find out that there were no guys there to dry my car off. Granted I would always have to go behind them & finish what they started. When I spoke to a young lady in the office she stated that cooperate has instructed them to no longer dry vehicles @ their location. My reply was that they should make customers aware so that we can decide if we still want to go through the wash or not & will the price reflect the reduction in service. Her reply was basically (Oh Well) Sorry & Thank You. As a result, they have lost me as a customer and I'm willing to bet that I am not the only one that will rate them (1) star based on this. read more

This is a very clean and efficient car wash that I really enjoy using. They provide nice towels to dry your car and spray bottles to do your windows and good vacuums. But when my monthly membership came time to renew It went straight downhill from there. There was no auto-renew so you re-swipe your card and it renews for another month. Fortunately, I kept my receipt and drove through. The next visit a few days later it prompted me to renew again. I showed the attendant my receipt and he said the bank declined my charge. Then I showed him my Chase Bank debit on my phone that proved they had made a mistake. He said he would manually put it into the system and it would be fine. I went through this ridiculous charade 4 times and finally asked for a telephone number to call to resolve the issue. It has been 2 months and I have never had a returned phone call. The automated telephone number only generates endless wait times and extensions with no real people to ever receive or return your calls. This company has ZERO support and no interest in dealing with their customers. I finally had Chase remove the charge from my account. I am so very unhappy with their lack of response or failure to provide any level of support. read more

Everytime I show up AFTER opening hours they are always closed! Today I showed up at 8:27am. Nearly 30 minutes after opening to find the place closed again!' There was an employee outside organizing the vacuums. Pulled up to another zips at 8:40 and that one was also closed. Waste of money. Mistakenly gave this place a second chance. Paid extra for the 'bug off' pre wash, but still had spots all over my windshield. There were still multiple areas with visible dirt the machine didn't get. Will not be going here again, and will never recommend to anyone, unless you only want to use the free vacuums. read more

The wash itself is just fine. Not great not terrible... It is the total dishonest, and by saying dishonest I am being polite, membership scam they have going. Got one on 8/2/23 for $10 for the first month, and as long as you cancel within 7 days of the renewal date (9/2/23) there will be no further charges. Well, I canceled it 10 days before the renewal date just to cover any possible chance of not doing it in time. Called and spoke with a person who after about 5 mins on the phone finally said she will cancel it. Got an email that day showing it canceled. All good right? Wrong! The very next morning I am billed $45 for the next month. Called again and spoke to the same person who canceled it again and sent my request for a refund to the "refund department". They sent an email saying the need to review my request and make a decision within 7 to 10 days and IF I get billed during the review period let them know and they will correct that as well. What do you think the chances of me getting billed during this review period? I am leaning towards 99% chance of them "accidentally" billing me again. I have been charged for 3 months in a row from ZIPS/Time to Shine, despite having a paper trail of three months of asking them to cancel my membership. I sold my car that I had signed up and did not sign up my new vehicle. I am now out $120.00 and no sign of them actually fixing this. I have put requests in through their site and have request/ticket numbers from them, but nothing is ever done. I was charged November, December and now January. I will NEVER do business with this company again and will recommend that every else steer clear too. It really is a shame that this company can't do the right thing! read more

I pulled in to get a car wash, the attendant tried to hard sell the $15 membership. I didn't want that so I opted for the single wash. Once I got the wash, I realized the machine had missed the entire rear of the car. They acknowledged that it was a problem with the machines water jets but would do nothing to correct it unless I was a member. read more

For random reasons the place closes earlier than what is advertised, they are always rude when I ask questions and the staff isn't much help. I have a monthly membership that states I can wash my vehicle on business hours but it's so out of wack I really would like to speak to the owner so I can understand why the car wash has so many problems read more

The car wash damaged my 3 month old truck and ZIPs local management nor their corporate office has been responsive to my request for repair. I have never given a bad review on Yelp but this car wash does not own up to damages done to my brand new truck so I would not recommend that you take the risk of using this car wash. I was a monthly subscriber to the ZIPs unlimited wash program and was very happy until their equipment damaged my truck and they would not repair the damages. Their brush had something stuck in it and scratched the side of my truck and fender well as if it had been a wire brush attached to a drill. I spoke to the attendant that was on site and made a claim and was told a manager would contact me within 2 days. Never heard back from them even though I made multiple attempts over several days to reach someone for an update. I finally drove back to the car wash and spoke to the manager. She had a 3 ring binder FULL of COMPLAINTS but not the one that I made. She said she would research the issue and call me back. 2 days later I received a text message stating that they had reviewed the issue and did not find where their car wash did the damage. They provided pictures from a low resolution motion video camera that was to far away to observe the damage. Their camera looks like a very low resolution camera that was at least 20 feet away and the angle they provide would not show the damage done even if the quality was good enough. The pictures they provided had the squiggly lines you see when you take a picture of your TV from your cell phone. I text back with the 12 Megapixel, high resolution, pictures that were take by my cell phone while there at the car wash. My pictures clearly showed the damage and I let them know that I was in the truck when it happened and heard the grinding noise as the brushes scratched up my truck. I asked the manager what the appeal process was and have NEVER heard another word. I finally reached out to the BBB in Arkansas as that is what the BBB required due to the corporate office being in Arkansas. So you will not find any BBB complaints for this car wash if you search as all complaints are redirected to the Arkansas site. At the time I am writing this review there has still been no attempt from the business to do the right thing. I was not trying to make a profit from them, only to have my new vehicle repaired for the damages they did. If they should decide to do the right thing and pay for the damage their equipment did to my truck I will update my review. But until then I have let everyone that I know to stay clear of this car wash if they want to protect the expensive investment they have in a vehicle. read more

I do not recommend, my car really wasn't even that dirty to begin with so I got the $7 wash, got done with the wash go to the vacuum area to get out of the car and see my car still just as dirty, literally nothing seemed to have gotten "cleaned". Their air dryers still left my car dripping wet, they don't even have people to wipe the car down at the end so now my car is covered in water spots, it's sad when I can get a $5 wash somewhere else and looks soooo much better and actually have people to wipe the car down. I have had a membership with Zips since they opened as Snappy's. We witnessed a decrease in quality when it went from Snappy's to Zips but kept membership due to not really having anything else to choose from. Ive noticed the last month or so that the quality of the wash had further decreased and when i went in to ask about it i was told that they had lowered the amount of soap that was coming out and that is how it would be moving forward. the employees have always been extremely polite but i cannot continue to pay for a subpar product. i asked to speak to management and was told that he wouldn't allow his number to be given out. i gave them my number and asked to have someone call and as of a week later no-one has. don't waste your money on the current product they are offering read more

Zips car wash in Hurst Texas is possibly the worst car wash I've ever been to. Upon arrival at the car wash this morning, the zips reader was not working . That's no surprised as it hasn't worked in months. I waited patiently as sometimes it does take them 5 to 10 minutes to get out and get the card number . While waiting another car pulled up behind me then decided to backup and leave due to the wait . After waiting an appropriate amount of time I decided to honk my horn to get someone's attention. A few minutes later I was approached by a girl name Tianna. She indicated to me to roll down my window no surprise have to do this every time because the card readers always broken. After reading the numbers on my card off I asked her why none of the employees wore face mask during the pandemic as required. She very rudely informed me that I as a customer was not supposed to roll down my window so they weren't required to wear mask. So it's my fault that your equipment is broken and I had to roll down my window to let you know the numbers on my card. I wasn't a Karen by any means because I really didn't care I just thought it was peculiar that they were so free and easy without their masks on and I had an infant in the car. I then proceeded towards the car wash but still had my window down because I was pulling in my side mirrors. I was approached by another maskless employee named Erin who stated he was the manager of the car wash. I ask, just out of curiosity why they weren't wearing facemask and he gave me the same answer verbatim that Tiana did. Like I said, didn't really care at that point but when I was talking later to my daughter (we have 5 cars with readers that never work) she said that happens to her everytime she gets her car washed their. This car wash has the poorest customer service EVER. I had an incident happen on 11/26/2018 and here it is 12/8/2018 (my fourth time coming up here btw) to speak to someone because I never received a call back. The day the incident happened I went through to get a wash like I normally do and when I came out my driver side mirror was handing off. Now previously my mirror had a small crack in it and I had put some glue there instead of getting it fixed because it was so minor and because I'm honest I told this the exact same think because it had been that way for years. I even took it to the Mitsubishi dealership and the guy told not to pay that much for a mirror that's not damaged it doesn't need replacing. Long story short they denied my claim stating that my mirror was already broke without looking at my car or obviously watching the video showing my mirror was fine and completely on. Also keep in mind because I'm a honest person I told them about the previous crack but that doesn't mean that they machine didn't break my mirror. It's no way some regular glue could hold a whole mirror up that's being held by a big screw which it what it was broke from. The owner Rebecca Maas is just like any other piece of shit owner, she could care less because it doesn't make her money. She didn't even have the decency to speak with me regarding the issue she just denied my claim. Fact is if you run into a car that had damages on the same side you hit and left damages you still have to pay for it and this situation is no different and I know nobody will care until it happens to them but they have for sure lost my business. If you look at the pictures it's no way glue was hold my whole mirror up and that because it wasn't their machine broke my mirror off and on the report the guy said that I told him the mirror was loose and I sealed it myself and I didn't say that I told him it had a small crack in it and i put some glue on it. I wish I didn't have to give them one star because a 20 dollar wash is about to cost me way more than I expected. read more
