This is a solid 3-star Zips. Like most Zips, food is cooked to order which makes is hot when you get it. Like most Zips too, the staff is a bit disconnected and disinterested proof being that my order was given to the car in front of me. Props that they remade it instead of just passing the same bag to me but a modicum of attention paid would have avoided this. When I did get my remade order, it was not correct. Big Zipper, ketchup & onion plus bacon. But... no bacon. That was the biggest tragedy. Yes, I'll eat here again but only enter with 3 star expectations. read more

I will start this by saying that I have filled a complaint with Tri-County health. I got a to go order yesterday at about 12. Burger, fries and drink. I couldn't even eat half of my cheeseburger it was so greasy and had a sour aftertaste. The fries tasted like they had sat in dirty oil. From not even 45 minutes after I finished what I did eat until now, I have had HORRIBLE stomach cramps, heartburn and other ~issues~ since. If they cannot make edible food, then they should give out coupons for the amount of Pepto Bismol and Tums their customers will have to buy after eating here. Will not be back here EVER. Note: I usually go to the zips in Colville and have never had an issue there. My coworker warned me me about the Chewelah location and I should have listened. read more

This is an old school Zips, old menus on the wall and written tickets, I loved it! And the food was the best Zips I have had in a long time! My burger looked like the picture, well put together and everything was fresh. My fries were crispy and not oily. The service was good, brought my food to my table and very polite! Not a lot to chose from in Chewelah but we were very happy this little fast food was here and open! Great menu to choose from but all I was in search of was a bacon cheese burger! Ordered 2 double bacon cheese burgers and fries. They were faster than any McDonald's has ever been! Food was fast and hot! Burgers were excellent and I liked the small little bun. Saucy and real bacon! The fries were cute little crinkle fries. The fry quantity was very small for the price. Nice clean place. Clean restrooms. Friendly and courteous staff. Not at all inexpensive but nothing is anymore. Worth the stop! read more

THIS ZIP'S IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST ZIP'S IN WASHINGTON STATE. WE HAVE HEARD THAT THE OWNER DOESN'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS AT ALL FROM FORMER EMPLOYEES... WHICH WE NOW UNDERSTAND. We've eaten their shrimp basket many times over the years... but the past two trips to this place proved they could care less about those who pay their bills. About a month ago we ordered a 'to go order' of their shrimp basket... it was completely different shrimp than normal... not very tasty... and we called them about it... they tell us that they ran out of their normal shrimp... and gave us frozen shrimp they bought at the local grocer. THIS OF COURSE IS AFTER THEY GOT OUR MONEY IN THE DRIVE THRU. We ordered shrimp again tonight, believing we would be getting their normal shrimp again. We get home with our meals, and find this to be the stinkiest garbage we've ever received from any restaurant. 90% breading with a very bad stench smell when we opened the bag. Very nauseating to say the least. We call them about it... the cook says they ran out of their normal shrimp so they just gave us this "popcorn shrimp" instead. OF COURSE, AGAIN, AFTER THEY TOOK OUR MONEY IN THE DRIVE THRU. My daughter decided to try and eat this so-called 'popcorn shrimp'... she said it made her feel sick to her stomach. Won't happen again to us. We hope that all the locals will spend their money elsewhere... and that this Zip's will close down for good... and that the City Council will never let the owner start anymore businesses in Chewelah. read more

Over salted fries and under seasoned burger. Ordered a double cheeseburger but received a single hamburger. I sent it back and they added a second patty and cheese that was not melted at all. I have to agree with some of the other reviews! My family and I have never had such a poor experience any where else. We even gave them a try a couple times after the first bad experience to see if it was a one off deal. Nope! Horrible every time! The ordered food is never right. Received a literally still frozen corn dog. Every order we have gotten here was cold. The owner was extremely rude. The food is very, very, very over priced and extremely slow for a "fast food" place! I would love to see what Gordon Ramsey would find in this place! Judging by the rude owner and the horrible food, I would bet the kitchen is disgusting. Also, if you pay with credit or debit card, they give you a receipt to sign and add a tip! Why would I tip a fast food place that is rude and serve horrible food! Ridiculous! Shut this place down before someone gets sick from under prepared food! read more

My mom and I love their breakfast! Big portions so worth the extra buck! I also enjoy their regular menu food. All their food is cooked to order and not sitting so it's always hot and fresh! The prices have a gone up a bit. Staff are friendly, cleanliness is good, and food comes out fast. read more

I don't want to put any stars. There is nothing good about this place. Look at the pictures on Facebook, Chewelah classified. Filthy establishment,rotting food, not enough Covid safety, and abused employees. The pictures will turn your stomach. I realise Chewelah doesn't have many food choices but you should not patronise an establishment that has no regard for their employees and customers. BOYCOTT!! read more

This Zips isn't the worst I've been in, but there are cobwebs on the ceilings and walls, the carpet is worn and constantly dirty... so, the cleanliness makes me question the health of the food. read more

The food and waitress service is fine for the town. Although the manager was very rude to other customers (not just me) raising her voice and acting a little out of it. She was glaring at me and made me so uncomfortable I had to leave and didn't even feel like I should bring the food. And it wasn't your friendly stare it was a menacing glare. And when approaching her kindly about the bugs in my to go box she just yelled in my face. (Before getting someone to get me one) as if it was my fault. I recommend going there but I don't recommend expecting the manager with short brown hair to be kind. read more

The best place for tator tots, ever! The fry sauce is a perfect blend of mysterious ingredients that I don't even care to know, its that good. Milkshakes are great too! Not always the most prompt or efficient drive through service, inside is better. Open late most nights so its a popular place after events, lots of teens. read more

The girl taking our order was perfectly pleasant, the woman I can only assume is the manager was beyond terrible. We parked in their empty parking lot with our truck and 28' trailer, not blocking the drive through lane or the parking space, and had to walk to the window to order, as with all the covid rules we couldn't go inside. She stood way back from the window and barked orders at her staff all the while screaming at them to hurry up "she doesn't have time for this," (she however made no attempt to help speed the process up). She shook her head at us the whole time as if we were bothering her with our business. After we finally got the correct order we crossed the street to sit in the grass at the park, where she proceeded to stand next to our camper and yell inaudible things at us (presumably because we were in the parking lot of the establishment we paid money and bought food from) until we got up and crossed the street to move. Extremely and unnecessarily rude to us and her staff. She should loose her job. read more

OMG, Not sure what has happened but I am absolutely reconsidering on ever going back to this place... The cashiers have NO CLUE about service, the food has taken a nose dive in the last 3-6 months.... This used to be a place I really enjoyed getting my breakfast from..... What a shame.... I just had the worst experience related to getting food to go... then when I get the food home, horrible!!!! Ordered the 1/2 omelet with no peppers or mushrooms... guess what I got...? A mushroom omelette, cold and old hash-browns.... Pitiful!!! Then to top it off...... I just called to offer some incite to management... hahahaha what a joke, she acted like she really didn't care... "thanks you I'll see what I can do about your complaints, I know we have one girl with issues today" No ma'am you have more than a "one girl" issue, your front counter people are not working together, your cook is sending out old dried up food... Try looking at your training manuals and management style... EVERYTHING is leader led! Inspect what you expect, that's a start... You must not expect much from your employees...
