The Clayton Buger, presented in a very cute way.
Raquel C.

Stopped in for my first time recently, after passing it many times on the way to the lake. My family name is Clayton, so I wanted it to be good. It's a classic diner feel, with made to order burgers and shakes. I had the Clayton burger and managed to finish it, minus some of the bottom bun which had fallen apart a bit. I actually liked the split, grilled hotdog. It was different, and with the thin patty and surprisingly thick bacon, it worked. The shoestring fries were plain, but crispy and that's what matters. The jalapeño cheese rounds were pretty good and I'd order those again over the fries. My biggest suggestion is that if you like ketchup on your burger, get it on the side and put it on the top bun yourself. The bottom bun just doesn't hold up well with it. Staff was very friendly to some difficult customers after us, not skipping a beat or losing their smiles. Kudos!

Came here for the world famous clayton burger as advertised on their billboard. I've been passing through on the way to the lake for years and have always wanted to try said Burger. Inside it was very clean, quaint, quiet and small. I looked upon the description for the Clayton Burger (World Famous). I was intimidated- two burger patties, cheese, bacon and a hot dog. As badly as I wanted to try it something about that hot dog made me wimp out. 1 double bacon cheeseburger and fries later my experience was over. The Burger are slightly overpriced, especially If you're driving from out of town. They are good but fairly basic, made to order. The service is great. I really enjoyed the fries although thier tartar was too heavy on the mayo.

If you head north on Division (Highway 395) You can pass Wandermere And continue to drive. As your road trip continues, I suggest humbly, there may come a time when your stomach feels grumbly. North of Spokane And south of Chewelah Stop at Clayton's Drive In - They'll be happy to see ya. The burgers are tasty, Fresh and delicious. The fries and onion rings Complement any dishes. The shakes are very good, But my only complaint Is the size of the drinks, Generous, they ain't. But if you're out in the country With an empty tummy, Remember, Clayton's food gets Four stars from me.

My wife and I were out and about today and happened to be close to this drive in. I had a double cheeseburger and it was just average. Nothing to write home about. My wife had a single cheeseburger and she said the same of hers. This is one of those places you should stop at when you hunger is at level that you must stop for something. Otherwise head on to Spokane and get some better food.

My Top RECOMENDATION is the Alien Burger comes with hot crispy onion rings! This burger is architecturally the most flavorful burger I've had in a small town! Starting with the soft and nicely toasted bun that cradles the fresh produce (which I believe comes from a local farm) resting on top is 2 of the juiciest scrumptious seasoned beef patties that melt from a single bite, you will not feel guilty! Unlike those disgusting corporate brands that care about making a cheap buck I.E. McDonald's, Wendy's (who claim to be fresh) and Burger King (More like the process meat with plastic and other additive king) Billy Burgers meat taste so FRESH, when I rolled up, I met the prince of Bel air! The meat beautifully cooked is layered with a square swiss cheese, the cheese enhances the flavor of the burger that'll remind you what America stood on and why burgers are the staple of the very country Wilbur, WA is home of (AMERICA!) If your mouth isn't watering now and your heart isn't on fire for one! Well.. Listen up, this burger also comes with freshly cut garden fresh peppers that will make you think you're South of the border, the green peppers compliment the burger so well with the cheese the seasoned meat and the bun. To close out my review, the ambiance of the establishment is very cozy and calm! You have the choice of eating inside where you can read about the Alien visitation in Wilbur, WA, or have the choice to eat outside and enter at your own risk.... The Twilight Zone...

One of the best mushroom burgers with crispy onion rings I've ever had. They call it the Alien Burger with Invasion Rings (clever!) due to a series of past crop circle phenomenon in Wilbur. The GIGANTIC swirl ice cream cone was devoured by the 8yo in our party. We had burgers, wraps, a chicken strip basket, and even options for our non-meat eater; all compliments. Our only complaint came from what other reviews have also mentioned: soggy fries. Not sure why they're sticking to that cooking method when so many people mention it negatively. Service was friendly & relatively fast for such a large order. We sat in the outdoor area that is tucked behind the place away from the road. Fun banner of pop culture events from 1955, the year Billy Burgers was founded. We will return on our next lake trip!

We stopped by the Tee-Pee Drive In during our stay in Grand Coulee. To start on a positive note,…read morethe staff was very friendly, and it's always nice to see a long-standing business still operating in a small community. That said, it's pretty clear that everything served is frozen. We ordered a chicken strip basket, a kids meal, and a bacon burger. The chicken strips weren't great, and the burgers were clearly made from frozen patties. Honestly, the fries and BBQ sauce were the only things we really enjoyed. I also paid $0.70 for a side of ranch, which was disappointing--it looked curdled and had more of a blue cheese texture than ranch. Another thing to note: the menu that's been posted in some of the older reviews is outdated--by about two years. Prices for most items are around $2 more than what those photos show, so keep that in mind when budgeting your visit. Lastly, I'd highly recommend that the owners update their menu signage. It's confusing and not very user-friendly. For example, there's no clear indication of which meals include fries and which don't--it feels random. In short: friendly staff and local charm, but the food and menu organization could use some serious attention.

Lettuce, onions were wilted and slimy. Mayo oozing out bottom of burger, but nowhere else. The burger was again thin without flavor. Obviously some of the cooks take pride in what they serve, and others just serve...something. I was spoiled by old TEEPEE owners, they knew what they were doing. Take a trip to Wilbur and go to Billy Burger...consistently the best. After 50/50 chance of getting something edible, I quit TEEPEE TOO!

We were warmly greeted and seated in what was a pretty empty restaurant during the lull between breakfast and lunch. We talked with the server for a bit about the restaurant and she gave us a bit of history. The current owner has had it for just a few years and he comes from a very nice culinary background. The space is roomy with several tables in the entrance area and about 8 booths around the corner. All of it seemed to be well kept and clean. We ordered up blue cheese burger and my friend had a special order omelette due to some food allergies. The server didn't bat an eye and helped make sure he got what he needed. The blue cheese burger was excellent and made with a fresh patty and quality ingredients. The fries were crisp and not greasy. The fry sauce was awesome (house made) and I asked for a second helping of that. I was told my buddies omelette was excellent and the extra bacon he ordered was super good. Not sure how you can make bacon better than most, but they achieved it. This place doesn't look like much on the outside but the quality of the food that is prepared is worth the drive from Spokane to try it out.
