tl;dr 11/10 recommend DITA and Eric. he's a pro (everyone there seems to be) + the vibes are so…read morechill. one of the most (unexpectedly) challenging parts of relocating is looking in the mirror and realizing it's time for a haircut. but where?? hair is an art, and having gone here for a little bit (it's all about the consistency!), i can honestly say that Eric knows how to use the proverbial paintbrush: patient (even during those rare times he's running behind schedule), knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. if i bring a reference photo along, i really appreciate how Eric immediately recognizes the nuances of my unique asian hair and makes suggestions to tweak the reference photo to fit me better. bonus points for being extremely well-versed in hair science (so cool! like, did you know hair has a life cycle that varies across individual strands???) thank you Eric! finally, the environment is worth noting: so many barber places in particular come across as stodgy masculine vibes (idk how to describe it, but you know), but DITA is very chill, welcoming, modern and super clean. they use dysons, and i'm honestly so tempted to get one now too.

Since it was my wedding day and I had no realistic chance of finding another barber at the last minute, I had no choice but to accept. I was assured that the replacement barber was experienced, but the service I received did not reflect the level of experience I had been promised. He was late for my appointment , struggled with both the haircut and the straight-razor shave, and took approximately 20 minutes just to trim my beard in preparation for the shave. After about 30 more minutes of unsuccessful attempts with the razor, I finally asked him to finish with an electric machine. I was supposed to leave the shop by 2:00 p.m. so I could arrive on time for my wedding photography appointment. Because the replacement barber was late and the services took much longer than expected, I was late for my wedding pictures. This added unnecessary stress to an already very important day. Unfortunately, I also received one of the worst haircuts I have ever had--on my wedding day. I will not name the replacement barber because I believe the shop is responsible for assigning someone who was not properly prepared to provide the services I had booked. I chose this business because of its strong online reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. Canceling my selected barber on the morning of such an important appointment, providing a late replacement, and assuring me that he was experienced when the service suggested otherwise was unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business or consider it reliable.
