They sent the billing statement to the wrong address, and it was returned to them. Instead of someone in their billing department picking up the phone to call me or even shoot me an email they sent me to collections. Luckily the collections agency said if I paid it would not be on my credit report; so I had to pay them this morning. It would not have been so bad had I known I had an outstanding balance and could have planned to pay that amount rather than getting shocked by a call from collections.
