Loki at Dog Obedience Training (obedience 2)
Carina A.

I was just able to take Loki on a hike (where it's pretty populated with dogs) by myself, then to a CROWDED coffee shop with extremely close proximity to humans & other dogs...the amount of times he got complimented on how well-behaved (and cute, duh) he is made me so happy. Before Zoom Room with Mike, I would've never taken him on an outing like this by myself nor would it have been FUN for the both of us. Here are huge wins that happened: 1. He didn't try to smell everyone's butts ("leave it") and say hello to strangers without my queue ("break"). 2. He didn't walk up to any random dog nor did he pull in their direction...he was UNPHASED by other dogs (he is most motivated by social interactions with other dogs which is what we're working on). 3. He continuously checked in with me (looking at me) both on the walk and at the crowded coffee shop despite all of the noises, close people passing by, etc. The confidence I feel in both him and myself would've never been possible without Mike's incredible training and support. 10000/10 recommend Zoom Room (and this is coming from someone who has spent THOUSANDS on his training in the past in multiple different forms only to not yield consistent results).

Zoom Room Huntington Beach has been our happy place for the past 7 years. I started training here with my golden retriever, Honey, who is now a certified therapy dog for UCI Health, and I'm currently training our new puppy Coconut here as well. As a special education teacher, I love the structure, kindness, and positive reinforcement approach they use, not just with the dogs, but with the humans, too. We've trained closely with Blaine, Mel, Mike, and Omar, and every one of them brings something special to the table. Whether it's agility, obedience (AKC canine good citizen), therapy prep, rally, tricks, scent or just building a stronger bond with your pup in a private gym, the trainers here know how to meet you where you are and guide you forward with support and encouragement. For me, Zoom Room has become more than just dog training...it's become a hobby and a passion. Because of Zoom Room, I get to volunteer with Honey at hospitals and bring her to my school to support my students. I can't recommend Zoom Room Huntington Beach enough. Follow us @honeybeegolden_ for more fun!

We started obedience 1 training with Madison and are extremely happy with the outcome. We were able to move up to obedience 2 after 4 classes. My dog Duke loves it there! Really happy with the outcome and love that they are all reward based training!

Best thing you can do for your pup is to start them early with Puppy Preschool!

We have sent all of our pups to the Zoom Room and they learned from an early age the basics of sit, stay, down, leave it, and 'touch' which is one of the BEST commands they know! It's actually telling them to come but it's more like a fun game for them!! We get lots of compliments of how well behaved our pups are in public - we take them on trips, to restaurants, and shopping and they do very well! A few people have asked us if it's the characteristic of the breed to be so well behaved - Uh No!! It's because we have spent a lot of time training our pups! And I just want to mention that they offer puppy preschool classes for pups up to 14 weeks (I think). It's a grand way to socialize your pup early! The trainers at Zoom Room are GREAT! - they're so patient and they teach at a great pace. And if they see that someone is having trouble, they will offer assistance. Blaine, the owner, is just so nice - and he's the host with the most! He offers water and coffee to anyone waiting. Do yourself - and your pup - a favor! Sign them up for Zoom Classes! The technique they teach is so easy to follow and it's so rewarding to see it pay off when you have the best behaved pup the next time you take them for an outing!!

We love ZoomRoom and all the trainers. We do agility, scent and obedience each dog learns so much and is always so happy to go. Plus we do private gym and it's such an awesome way to play with the dogs in a safe and clean environment.

Alissa is an amazing trainer. Zoomroom HB is really great. My puppies used to be crazy and now they are in agility classes and obedience level 3. I definitely recommend zoom room HB. And I have to many friends.

Blane is a great trainer, working on his side gig as a comedian. Thanks for the work and fun

Our first day at school!!

I have a very driven French Bulldog puppy who is thriving with the skills we are learning in Obedience class. The instructors are so patient and seem to really love what they do. It definitely helps when you feel you are being defeated by your puppy. They are quick with helpful hints and positive reinforcement. I love the staff as well. I highly recommend Zoom Room and look forward to continuing with the other classes they offer.

Mochi excited to go to class!

Ask the Community - Zoom Room Dog Training

We've a smart and young and social maltipoo. i'd like to arrange challenging activities for him. he's got basic commands down (sit, stay). Would agility classes meet our requirements? Would you need to meet with him or could we bring him to you?

Hi. Thank you for your interest in the Zoom Room! We can certainly help with challenging activities, we have a wide variety of offerings from Agility, scent, flyball, urban…

How much are the agility classes?

Hi Stephanie! All of our classes cost the same price. You purchase class credits that can be applied to any class on the schedule. Our 4 pack is $160 and our 10 packs are $335. To do agility in our group classes, you and your dog must first graduate…

What is the cost for puppy preschool?

Hi! All of our classes cost the same price, you can purchase either a 4 pack of classes for $150 or 10 for $300. Those class credits can be used on any class any day of the week! Please give us a call at 714.794.9663 or come by anytime for more…

How late can you book a private gym session? My dog would love this. Thank you.

Hi!! We have private gym rentals available as early as 9:30a - 7:30p, depending on the day of the week. Later appointments are our most popular, so those will require more advance planning. Please call us or come by for more details and pricing.

I see there is a Groupon deal for one of your locations in Redondo Beach. I was wondering if it could apply to the Huntington Beach location since it's closer to home?

Hi Frannie! Thank you for your interest in the Zoom Room! The groupon offer is specific to the Redondo Beach location as is not valid at any other location. We are currently running a promotion in Huntington Beach... anytime you purchase a 10 pack…

A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

I met with several trainers before Brad & had little to no success in the areas we needed most, I was exhausted. Now for the first time ever, I can leave him home alone without the overwhelming anxiety and guilt that used to come with it. Our walks are actually enjoyable again, and I feel confident bringing him around friends and into new environments. What I appreciate most is that the training gave me the tools and confidence to understand and communicate with my dog better. I have my freedom back, and Cash is happier and more relaxed because of it. If you're struggling with separation anxiety, behavioral issues, or just want a better relationship with your dog, I can't recommend Brad enough. The impact has been life-changing.

Ryan ALWAYS follows up, checks in and makes sure to ask if I have any more questions. Max has a really strong bond with him as well, which makes me very happy to see and feel more comfortable if I need to leave him to board and train for any more work he might need. Let me share a little background: We adopted our adult mini poodle (5-7 years old ) 10 months ago. He's crate trained but NOT potty trained. We tried potty-training several times by watching educational videos online and it was just confusing and contradicting. As a result, we gave up and he wears diaper since he is an indoor dog. He started snapping and actually bit my husband as he was removing the diaper. Bisko doesn't like it when we take off his diaper. On top of this, he barks like crazy when there's a visitor. He can go on and on for hours. The aggressive barking and snapping was addressed and corrected right after the first session! We are now currently doing potty training the right way. As the name of training entails, no force ( no shock collars, prong collars, etc. were used ) It's a lot easier now as there are definitive instructions provided on how to continue training. Addressing the negative reviews on Yelp: As I mentioned, I read every single review before deciding to contact Jeff: 1. For the initial contact, a phone call inquiry is really required as he has several questions about your dog. This cannot be done via text as there will be a lot of back and forth. 2. The other negative review is quite irrelevant. The training was successful for years and the incident happened 3 years after. There are a lot of factors that can happen in between those times. CONCLUSION: It's our first time trying training with a dog behaviorist and seen huge & significant improvement right away. This business is recommended! Hope we can continue further leash training later on.

We initially sought out training with Tact K9 for Therapy certification and through their program our dog was certified at a service working level since he took to their method of positive reinforcement so well. Working with Vladae will!…read more We've been working with Vladae for about four months with our now six-and-a-half-month-old Golden Retriever, Coach, and it has been one of the best investments we've made. What sets Vladae apart is that he doesn't just train dogs, he teaches owners how to build a lifelong relationship with them. Every lesson leaves us with practical tools, clear direction, and the confidence to continue the training every single day. Because of that, the progress doesn't stop when the session ends. Vladae has an incredible ability to understand dogs. Watching him read a dog's behavior, body language, and mindset is genuinely fascinating. He knows exactly how to communicate with each dog in a way they understand, and it's clear this comes from years of experience and a deep understanding of canine psychology. He's also one of the most invested professionals we've ever worked with. Throughout the week, he encourages us to send videos, provides thoughtful feedback almost immediately, and is always available to answer questions or jump on a call if we need guidance. You never feel like you're figuring things out on your own. He truly cares about both the dogs and the people raising them, and he always follows through. Every recommendation Vladae has made, whether it's training tools, techniques, or daily routines, has become an essential part of Coach's development. We trusted the process from day one, and the results truly speak for themselves. (See the videos! Coach is only 6.5 months old in them.) Our puppy is happy, confident, well-mannered, and genuinely loves learning. We receive compliments on his behavior everywhere we go, and we owe so much of that to the foundation Vladae helped us build. We also had the opportunity to work with Erica, who trains alongside Vladae, and she was absolutely wonderful. One session with Erica is included in the program, and it was incredibly helpful. It's clear she shares the same passion, knowledge, and dedication that make this training program so special. Vladae brings unmatched energy, professionalism, and passion to every session. He genuinely wants every dog and every owner to succeed, and that level of commitment is incredibly rare to find. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and is committed to setting both you and your dog up for long-term success, I can't recommend Vladae highly enough.
