The provider I saw was lovely, but I was sent a surprise bill for services that should have been covered. I think this was just a billing mistake but I have called everyday for over a week to understand the situation and I can reach no one. I have left several messages and even called unrelated/non billing office staff to ask them to relay a message. No one will call me back. Went in to get my shoulder checked since it was tweaked. Doctor came in, made me move my arm and was like "hmmm, I think something is wrong with your shoulder. I'll write you a referral to our other office to get an x-ray." Makes sense, so I go to pay at the front of the office and it's like 200$. That's fine as long as I don't need to pay to go to the next office. They respond with: "oh, you'll have to pay for the office visit too at the other office, about 300$". That's insanely stupid. First off your doctor visit was less than 3 minutes. You told me what I already knew, then you expect to charge me again to get looked at somewhere else that's part of your company? Get the f*** out of here. It's a scam, don't waste your money with these people. read more

How many stars do you give to a clinic that almost killed you? Since ZERO stars isn't possible I guess I'll have to settle for one star. Let this serve as a PSA to get your own doctor and to never visit a Zoomcare if you value your life. There is a reason you never have to wait at a Zoomcare, they want you in and out and fast as physically possible. My obvious symptoms were ignored and I was shoved out the door. Less than 4 hours later after I left Zoomcare, where my symptoms were ignored I was experiencing a medical emergency which was only amplified because Zoomcare, and their terrible PA ignored my symptoms. If i would have listened to the advice of this Zoomcare, and the "Super"clinic they referred me to, I would be dead. My husband without a partner and my children without a mother. So to Zoomcare if you're reading this, these are the telltale signs of Epiglottitis: Severe sore throat Fever A muffled or hoarse voice Abnormal, high-pitched sound when breathing in (stridor) Difficulty breathing Difficulty swallowing Drooling I experienced 6/7 of these symptoms when I came into the clinic, which I told the PA. This PA faked a strep test and sent me on my way after explaining I was having a hard time breathing, in addition to 6 of these 7 tell tale signs of epiglottitis. I'm still loving ZoomCare, wanted to comment on the negative reviews: I cannot believe that these were written by people with any experience with any medical care in the US. ZoomCare is not the Berkeley Free Clinic. ZoomCare is not your mother. I've seen nothing on their website that claims omniscience. Yeah, OK, it's Yelp, and it's the internet. But....seriously. Medical care in the US is expensive if you don't have insurance. Zoom is just the GREATEST. I can't imagine life without it anymore . They make healthcare everything it should be - affordable, fast, EASY. We had a gap of about a year when Zoom did not accept our insurance. The energy , time and cost of chasing after healthcare was exhausting. Every time we go to zoom we are in and out quickly. I had to call into ZoomCare to have it switched to the correct pharmacy and had to wait two days before they could do that. They said I had to wait for my prescriber to update it. This review was written by my partner, who was seen last week. First the good: making an appointment was easy, all done online. I felt good because there were many 5-star reviews on yelp. Parking for the spot was easy, and I didn't have to wait long after my appointment time to actually be seen. All that being said.... I came in with upper respiratory symptoms. The PA who saw me was extremely brusque, with no bedside manner. She quickly stuck a swab deep into my nose -- to test for flu. No explanation about what she was doing. Then she very roughly swabbed my throat to check for strep. There were multiple times when she didn't use gloves, or didn't use a disposable cap on the examination tools. When both tests came back negative, she insisted on checking for mono. The receptionist came in, pricked my finger, and squeezed my finger until it was purple, barely collecting enough blood for the test (which was also negative). I left, still feeling like shit warmed over, but feeling better knowing I didn't have strep. I did, however, have a massive headache. The PA told me that online chat through the zoom+ app would be available for free for up to seven days after my appointment, and if I need antibiotics they can prescribe there. Even though I have insurance, I had to pay for my entire 15 minute visit -- $330. Cut to three days later -- feeling worse, massive headache won't go away, can't sleep. I feel certain I have a sinus infection and ear infection. I get on the app, tell the PA on there my symptoms, say I was just seen three days ago and could I please get a prescription for amoxicillin. She refused, saying that I had to come back in. I tried every way of explaining that my symptoms haven't changed, just gotten worse, and that financially I couldn't afford to come in again "to check my vitals" as she said, but she insisted that she couldn't prescribe antibiotics and that I would have to come in and pay another $330 just to get my prescription. I also called zoom+ and spoke with the receptionist there, who was very kind, and who offered to take off $50 from my first visit -- if I came in for another visit. Ultimately, it felt like a huge fucking rigamarole way to make zoom+ money. I didn't feel safe here, I didn't feel cared for, and I do not think the providers available at this location are competent. I ended up going to urgent care again (Portland Urgent Care) where they 1) have doctors 2) listened to my symptoms and didn't insist on unnecessary tests or additional visits 3) allowed me to participate in taking care of myself by prescribing antibiotics when I requested them, as well as making several other recommendations for over the counter medications. THAT was a great experience. Thanks to Dr Blacke at Portland Urgent Care. Bottom line -- as with many online and convenient app-based services, zoom+care is a huge disappointment, with very little accountability and incompetent providers. This is my first experience with a ZoomCare. I have insurance and a primary care physician, who was not available. I was getting an infection in my nail bed that I was not able to fix myself, and decided I needed something done quick and easily before my vacation ended and I went back to work. Logged online and created a ZoomCare account so I could select the appointment I wanted after checking out the prices. Filled out the information regarding illnessg/injury and insurance and went from there. Instructions stated to arrive 5 minutes early with photo ID and insurance card. Got it. Before confirming the appointment, you have to put in credit card information. That put me off a little and made me pause. There's a terms agreement of some such that you have to read before submitting, so I read that before doing anything else. I learned that if you're late, or do not reschedule properly there's a fee, if I remember correctly. No big deal. Then I understood that they attempt to bill insurance first and then bill your credit card directly at 60 days. I had to think about that, most of my billings seem to take 60+ because my insurance is a pain in the ass. But I needed to go, so okay. Now I know what to expect. I also couldn't remember where I was on my deductible right at the moment. Family insurance plan. Arrived a little early and was checked in. The compressed and small nature of the lobby surprised me. I arrived with my boyfriend and then the next appointment behind me arrived with a partner as well. Then all four chairs were taken up in the tiny lobby. That was brief, thankfully. I saw Margaret Zebroski, PA-C. She was definitely a breath of fresh air. She was just happy and nice and personable. She gave me some really helpful tips on how to never create this situation with the infection again and then took a look. She was compassionate and understood that it hurt and acknowledged that as she worked. She talked to me specifically about how to take care of it and deposited some nuggets of wisdom about how to correctly use hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. Overall, I was very satisfied with the course of care and information that I can use in the future. Also, she gave me the option of buying the antibiotics at the ZoomCare location or at a third party location with my insurance. She also then told me the difference between the two options. I could pay $12 at ZoomCare or go somewhere else. I used ZoomCare. She escorted me out to the tiny lobby and the other gentleman in the lobby had this legs straight out, making it impossible for me to cross from the hallway to the front of the island with the computer. He seemed unwilling or unable to move them, I'm leaning towards unwilling and just not paying any attention - but I wasn't going to trapeze over some strange man's legs. He was then called back and then I was able to move. Then I got my total. $152. $140 for injury visit, just like outlined online and $12 for the antibiotics. I did have to ask if my deductible was not met, which is why I was being charged up front right away and then I was told that yes, my deductible was still outstanding and by how much. That was useful. So I sucked it up and paid right there and that was that. Overall, apart from my distress over spending $152, everything was pretty pleasant and I enjoyed the visit. read more

I wouldn't come here again if I had a gunshot wound. I can't remember ever being treated so rudely by any health care provider. And I am not at all convinced that ear drops (actually the PA gave me eye drops without mentioning anything about the difference, and without giving any specific instructions for their use) will help with what I am quite sure is an inner ear infection (I have generalized pressure in that side of my head and an unusual amount of discharge from my sinuses, as I explained--not that anyone was listening, let alone asking questions. In addition, I was expecting a $25 copay. Instead I paid about $300 out of pocket after being told after the visit that my insurance could not be confirmed. (I am a postal carrier. I went here 3 weeks ago with a severe cough that had lasted a few weeks and for the $140 visit was told I was all clear and it would just take a while longer for the cough to go away - that sometimes bronchitis can last a few weeks. It only got worse... I went back again thinking this time I'd get some actual medicine and as hard as it seems to believe I told the exact same thing except that this time these things can take up to 6 weeks to go away but they'd prescribe some cough medicine if I needed it. And they charged another $140 for the visit. Finally got into my care physician at OHSU only two days after to find I have a severe throat and ear infection that they're now treating me for. read more

I was very impressed by the care I got from the PA Margaret Zebroski. She was both highly competent and humane, took a genuine concern for me, with what turned out to be a pretty serious condition for which she had to send me to the hospital. I went in thinking I had strep but she was able to immediately identify it as something even more serious and potentially deadly dangerous, a peritonsilar abscess. This was a condition requiring immediate surgical intervention, and her competence (along with the quick strep test that came up negative) may have saved my life. She was genuinely concerned that I not go home (even made me say aloud to her "I will now take myself to the Emmanuel ER) because if untreated this condition can lead to a closing off of the airway, with predictably, uh, mortal results... Then the next day she even called me just to see how I was doing and how it had gone at the hospital. Only complaint about this Zoomcare is how tiny the waiting area is, just 4 tightly placed wood chairs. I know their model is for people not to have to wait, but on this day several people were, and it was pretty tight. read more

I scheduled my first appointment on 9/4. Upon checking in I was informed that my visit would not be covered by my insurance (despite being listed on my insurance providers website as In network). During my visit I informed my doctor that my employee needed paperwork filled out and that it was time sensitive. Several days later I called to confirm the paperwork had been completed. I was informed that Nicole was out of office and would be back on 9/18. I asked if anyone else could fill out the paperwork based on my doctors provider notes and was told that would require another appointment with a new doctor. I explained that I could not afford another appointment, especially since I knew I would need a follow up appointment in 4 weeks to discuss the progress of my treatment plan. I asked if my doctor could call to let me know when the paperwork was completed and was assured I would. When I didn't receive a call on 9/18 I called to check the status and was told my doctor would not be available until 9/20. On 9/20 my paperwork was completed. On 9/30 I scheduled a follow up appointment on 10/4 (3+ weeks after starting treatment as recommended by my doctor) to discuss my treatment. On 10/3 at 4:50 pm I was informed my appointment needed to be scheduled because the office was closed and rescheduled my appointment for the next available date 10/10. This was an inconvenience needed additional paperwork required by my employer to be completed by 10/7. I figured 3 days past the due date was reasonable. At 11:42pm on 10/9 I received an email informing me that my appointment for tomorrow would need to be "cancelled or rescheduled (AGAIN) to a different clinic as my doctor will be not be able to be in on that day. We recommend considering scheduling with a different provider at this time as her long term schedule is unsure at this time." When I explained this was unacceptable and that I needed an appointment asap I was told that the soonest available would be 10/14, a full week after my paperwork was due. This is completely unacceptable. I would like to have this matter escalated and resolved as soon as possible. read more

After suffering almost a week of excruciating pain from sciatica and getting no response from my new PCP over at Legacy Emanuel, I decided to try out ZoomCare this morning. Not only was I able to get a same-day appt, but the PA on staff (Margaret) was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She offered me several options for immediate pain relief, as well as a referral to a spinal specialist and a Rx to keep the muscle spasms at bay. Less than three hours later my pain is very tolerable; I'm able to move without wincing, which is a minor miracle. I have good insurance, but the prices are reasonable for those who may not. If you find yourself in need, don't hesitate to go. I'm so glad I did. read more

I went in for mental health help because I had a few panic attacks due to multiple life changes at the same time. I was going out of the country, so I came in to get emergency meds to take with me. Because they do not allow the staff to prescribe from the full range of options allowed to medical providers, I was given an antihistamine and a blood pressure medication. The medications were ineffective and it was a waste of money. For MH do not bother to go somewhere the staff is not trusted enough to treat and prescribe to you. (I would be shocked if this was not to limit their liability/malpractice insurance.) read more

I received great care by PA Amy Celichowsky when I went in for what seemed like an eye infection- a very painful and light-sensitive eye. I normally would have gone to my regular eye doctor at Blink but it was Sunday and I felt like it needed immediate attention. What I loved is that Dr. Celichowsky seemed comfortable and competent doing the eye exam. She used a type of dye liquid and a special black light to look at my eye for scratches, and was very gentle. This was really nice because my eye was super light-sensitive. She also prescribed me some antibiotic drops and told me to follow up with my regular eye Dr. within 24 hours. When I did so, my eye Dr. was very impressed with the exams and chart notes from my ZoomCare visit. I would recommend this office to anyone who has a similar eye situation and is unable to get in to see an eye specialist that day. I am very satisfied with my care! read more

I liked that I could make an appointment and be seen almost immediately. The staff was super friendly, and my PA Amy Celichowsky was very knowledgeable. I didn't like that they do not take cash, and did not make that clear on the website. Also, the whole ZoomCare model is sorta transactional; by which I mean it seems more like a shop than a clinic. I can see why this would be great for people who don't like to go to the doctor, but unless you are in a hurry or can't see your primary care practitioner for some reason I would recommend treating zoomcare like an Urgent Care office. read more

This location has no dedicated parking, I had to circle the neighborhood to find a parking spot 5 blocks away. Some bald nurse practitioner stops the receptionist from checking me in, and says I have to reschedule because it's 3:04 . 4 minutes late? Is this their policy? If it is, it's nowhere to be found and they didn't tell me that when scheduling. I do not live close and all in all, a waste of my time. I try to avoid urgent care clinics as a general rule, but ZoomCare definitely saved the day for me today. After missing several days of work with flu-like symptoms, I decided enough was enough but needed a same-day appointment to avoid missing more work. I loved being able to schedule online at 6am for an 8:30 appointment, and when I showed up 20 minutes early I was seen immediately. PA Margaret was awesome! Very personable and seemed to really listen to me. It was quick, to be sure, and I didn't love seeing "next patient has arrived" show up on the big computer screen, but Margaret's care felt more thorough, informed, and personal than many doctors I have seen. This Zoomcare location is my go to for mental health. They've greatly improved my quality of life by helping with depression and a.d.d. The ability to get in, answer questions, tell them how I've been feeling and get the proper medication in 15-30 minutes is what healthcare in America should be. If you're not using Zoom for your mental health give it a try. My insurance accepts it and it's free. On top of the fact that I'm simply living a better life thanks to this clinic the associate at the front desk at this particular location is one of the best. (Laura?)'s a good multitasker and always clear and communicative. The experience always feels smooth and aeons better than a giant system like Kaiser. At zoom you don't have to deal with all the bullshit that comes with checking into a mega complex and trying to get care. Give it a try. read more

The worst customer service experience I have ever had at a medical practice. I visited this same location a year ago and it went great. There are all new staff at the front desk and I dealt with one provider and she was extremely disrespectful. I needed a form completed to verify my companion pet for a new place I will be living. The original letter dated 10/22/2014 was issued by this Zoomcare. I visited on 10/17/2015 to let them know my new management company would be mailing a form that needs to be completed and returned. I also talked to corporate headquarters. You can't actually call a branch location of Zoomcare!!!! When I visited the front desk person looked up my account and verified my information. Saw the letter and said they would mail the form to corporate if it was received at the Mississippi location. I said okay and left. The form was mailed on 1019/2015 and required a signature. It was signed for by Naomi at the Mississippi location. As of today 10/28/2015 no one at Zoomcare knows where the form is???!!! Oddly this isn't why I am giving the bad review. The reason is because I returned to the Mississippi location on 10/27 and asked about the form. I was told it wasn't received that I could schedule an appointment. I was confused. I only needed my medical information relayed to the management company. Then the front desk person left and returned with Ashton. Ashton informed me the previous doctor that examined me and wrote my letter was no longer employed with Zoomcare and informed me she wouldn't sign off on the letter since she didn't exam me???!!! I would need to schedule an appointment. I said no! I refused. I asked what that had to do with my medical records that show that practice issuing a companion letter and a medical diagnosis. She then said she only had a minute because she needed to go to lunch. I left with no answers. Called Zoomcare headquarters and was told maybe I needed the appointment because its an annual letter???!! Yet a different reason. I could go on and on but I won't. They never addressed the inconsistent answers and I'm not sure they will ever locate my letter. They did say they would be unable to complete the form I sent and could only reissue a letter I already had. The management company requires their form be completed so I will move to another provider and get what I need. Never again will I visit a Zoomcare. read more

I came here to see Tina Barber during the free clinic night for a follow-up. She is so wonderful! I saw her on Sunday at the ZOOM+Care location in Beaverton. We knew that I would probably need a follow up, but I don't have insurance, so she told me about the free clinic. When I returned to Tina here on Wednesday night, I found that she had gone above and beyond my expectations and she had written up a full plan of action for my condition after I left on Sunday (since she knew I was coming back in). I've known about my condition* for a long time and I've researched it in-depth myself, so to see her come up with a plan that contained all of the better options for treatment that I've seen in my research made me feel really confident that we can get it under control. I know that she knows her stuff (or at least cared enough to look it up on her own to make sure I was getting the best care). *To be clear, my condition is hidradenitis suppurativa, which is a chronic skin condition that is very difficult to treat I'm so thankful to Tina and the other staff at the ZOOM+Care clinics that I've gone to! The plus is that you can schedule a same-day appointment. If you have something generic, like a cold, they *might* be able to help, but don't go looking for answers to anything complicated. I went in with abdominal pain, thinking maybe I had a bladder infection. The receptionist started talking about taking a UA while we were still in the waiting room, which embarrassed me because there was a guy in the room who hadn't introduced himself. Turns out, he was the person diagnosing me. I was never asked my height, weight, allergies, family history, whether or not I smoke, or what medicines I was taking. He never introduced himself, even after I entered the private room, and ended too many sentences with "or whatever". After I tested negative for a UTI, he recommended a vaginal exam in which he'd insert his fingers and feel for abnormalities. I declined, already uncomfortable with his level of professionalism - and then I found out he wasn't even a doctor - he is a PA. Whether or not PAs are allowed to conduct vaginal exams, this guy didn't seem qualified, and I ALWAYS want my vaginal exams conducted by a doctor (wouldn't you?). I told him I'd see an OB/GYN instead, and so I left (after a $140 appt that lasted all of 20 minutes) with a diagnosis of - get this - abdominal pain. They just told me what I already knew. read more

My initial impression with ZoomCare was very favorable...clean, modern efficiency. I was sick & needed to see someone right away, so making my own appointment online was great. When I went in, however, I was struck by the fact that everyone there was very young & it appeared that it was staffed by physician assistants only. I was given my allotted 15 minute appointment and prescribed medication. When I developed alarming & debilitating symptoms a few days later, I contacted this clinic, made another appointment (at the downtown clinic due to logistics), and spoke at length to yet another PA on the phone. No one could tell me what was going on. It seemed everyone was operating from the same playbook...if it's not problem A, it must be problem B & if not that, well, who knows? It took my own research and a highly competent pharmacist to discover the FDA had issued a warning earlier this year that the medication they had prescribed could cause my exact side effects, side effects that could actually result in death due to heart arrhythmia. Not one person there caught it. Once I knew what was going on, I called ZoomCare and asked for an actual MD to call me back and advise me. I never received a call back from an MD, leading me to believe no actual doctors work there. In the same way I wouldn't trust my divorce to a paralegal or my taxes to a file clerk, I would never trust my health to these gen-Y paraprofessionals again. My criticisms here apply to Zoomcare's billing policies, and are not specific to this clinic in particular. I've visited Zoomcare four times over the past four three months: twice for myself, and twice for my son. We were significantly overcharged two out of four times, resulting in my spending lots of time on the phone with insurance and Zoomcare billing. Both times I got the distinct impression that I would not have been refunded the overpayment had I not pursued it. Having had this happen twice, it does not feel like it was a fluke. I feel the Zoomcare promises that patients will always know their total costs ahead of time, and that this is a more convenient alternative to other medical care are inaccurate. Further detail: The first time we were asked to come back 24-hours after our appointment so the PA could monitor my son's ear infection. She didn't want to prescribe him antibiotics unless the infection was getting worse. She assured me we wouldn't be charged for the follow up visit, and put it in her notes that we wouldn't be charged. At the follow up, we were charged not only the insurance co-pay, but then billed for the entire amount (despite having insurance) -- an additional $90+. It took six rounds of phone tag and one month to resolve this, and I did not receive the full refund for almost 2 months. The second time, I had already met my annual deductible (at my previous Zoomcare visit) and was charged the full deductible again, despite their being able to see that I had already paid it (to them!). Rather than calling my insurance company themselves to clear up the issue, it was up to me to call my insurance company and then call Zoomcare's billing office to request the refund. The appointment was one month ago and I'm told I can expect a refund sometime in the next few weeks. Ultimately, the blessing here is that I am far more motivated to find a great primary care doctor in my new neighborhood than I would be if Zoomcare had been the time- and cost-effective business model it promised to be. I think it provides a good service, and I've been happy with the quality of medical care, but patients with insurance should be vigilant about billing matters and not expect convenience or clarity around payments or refunds. read more

She made it simple and easy, booking an appointment for me to be seen within a day! My appt. was timely, well organized, AFFORDABLE and professional. Friendly staff invite you in and advise it will be a little over $100 paid up front on a credit card to walk in the door for a "Consultation". Then when you leave they will tell you that you are going to be billed $200 for lab fees to check a urine sample. Out the door in 30 minutes, test results back all negative in 24 hours. I had the opportunity to visit your Mississippi clinic a couple weeks ago and was able to receive the ZoomCare experience firsthand. Let me tell you, it might have been one of the most efficient, yet personal experiences I have had at a physician's office. The physician's assistant introduced herself with a warm smile and brought me back to the exam room just before my scheduled appointment time - I don't think I've ever been taken into a room with my practitioner on time, let alone early. I explained the issue I was having to her, and she asked a series of well-thought out questions about the current condition and my medical history. She examined me and ordered a couple tests. I received my test results prior to the day she said I should have them by, and she sent me an analysis of the results the next morning. It was wonderful to hear about her work and life experiences as she examined me. I felt like I was interacting with a real person who cared about my well-being and getting to the bottom of my issue, instead of someone who was rushing through my appointment, just to get to the next person. I would definitely recommend the ZoomCare experience to a friend, based on the timeliness, thoroughness, and care expressed by the physician's assistant. I went here last week to get some prescriptions for asthma medication (I have been out of the country for the past few years & don't have insurance yet.). Staff were super friendly and helpful. They also gave me advice on where to get cheaper meds, etc. I will definitely be back (although hopefully not too soon!) read more

The ZoomCare on Mississippi is excellent. Going to the doctor is never something you hope for, but when you have to, the staff at ZoomCare is top notch. They are very knowledgeable and personable. To top it off, they doesn't over charge, have an awesome online portal, and allow for last minute scheduling. read more

This is actually my first ever review on Yelp, my 3 experiences with Zoom Care prompted me to join. I'll start with saying overall I am not a huge fan of this model of health care, my first visit was horrible (i'll go into details in a bit) but it's not to say ZoomCare still doesn't have it's place. I have since been back I think for a total of 3 visits or so. My first impression was how impersonal it seemed. If you are the type of person who values privacy or personal space then this office is not for you. The waiting lobby is TINY. There is barely enough room to accomodate the 4 tiny chairs they have in there, along with the receptionist/payment desk. When you leave and pay your bill, typically the Health care specialist (I don't believe any of them are licensed MD's, though that honestly doesn't bother me so much) comes out with you and offers up some final tidbits of advice, and any follow up instructions. Of course, this is all with other patients waiting immediately next to you, hearing all your business. Not a fan. I know there are lots of other reviews about their basic model, so I'll spare too many details about how they have back-to-back appts lined up every 15 minutes. How much personalized, specific attention can one expect with their caregivers scheduled so tightly? Anyway - on my first visit I was having some severe pain issues in my foot. Margret treated me (whom I actually really, really liked - she is a total sweetheart) but didn't offer up too many suggestions on what could actually be the problem. Perhaps an infection? She did prescribe some tylenol-like painkillers (be aware they do not prescribe any typical, narcotic type painkillers) and wrote me up for some lab work. This is where my major issues started. There was no one there on-site to take any blood, so they recommended a few off-site locations. I ended up going to emanuel hospital because it's close to my work. Now, I understand it's not THEIR fault I ended up waiting to get the tests done there for no joke - approximately 2-3 hours, nor that I had to hobble/limp from the parking garage for what seemed like 1/4 mile with my bum foot. What I do have a problem with, is I NEVER got any final results after the nightmare of getting those tests was over. ZoomCare prides itself on their paperless healthcare model, with lots of receipts, lab results, etc being delivered via email. I checked my online acct regularly, and although I did receive results on 1 of the lab tests, I never received the results of 2-3 more types of tests, even though I checked in via email multiple times. My pain eventually went away, so wrote it off and never followed up. I then had a quick in and out visit for a recurring cough, which was fine because I knew I probably just needed some prescribed meds / inhaler and it'd go away. Recently though I had another visit, where I had some lab tests / swabs taken and again, I have yet to receive any results from it. My visit was over a month ago. I asked them prior to leaving my appt: "Will I get the results via email or via telephone call?" and was told sometimes it can be one or the other, but they will eventually be in touch after tests are in. That was almost a month ago, have yet to receive any test results or follow up communication. To top it off, they were running way behind that day and I had to wait like 50 minutes in that tiny, cramped, waiting room while all the other patients scheduled after me (in 15 minute increments) wandered in as well. So...the long and the short of it for me is, as much as I hate the impersonal nature of ZoomCare, I still feel it has it's place. If you can't get an immediate appt scheduled with your primary caregiver, and you have what you think are basic issues and most likely just need a quick check and prescription for something, they might be a good solution. Just don't expect to get your blood pressure taken, weighed, or be given any attention for longer than 15 minutes. If you have any lab tests done, you MUST routinely follow up or you may not get any results. Oh, and show up on time! Cause even though they can make YOU wait, if you are late you'll most likely still get charged. read more

I had an appointment in November and received good information about a problem I was having. PA did an email followup to see how things were going a week later. Problem was my insurance paid in December, I called in March to see when I would get a refund, called again in May since it still hadn't showed up. Bad business practice, I've never had to chase down a refund. I won't use again. Curious if this is a policy of don't refund until client calls for it. read more

The exam was fine and the woman at the desk was polite, but I was completely ripped off. I presented my insurance card that clearly states a $30 copay. I was told that was not correct and I had to pay towards my deductible. When I asked how much that would be, all I was told is that it was only $140 if you have no insurance. So after my exam when I was told my visit was $220 I was a bit upset. Apparently my $800 a month insurance was better left at home, and I should of said I had none. I know my insurance covers it so now I have to call them tomorrow and my money will be tied up for a month. Ridiculous. Not sure whats wrong with their system, but it sucks. If you are unsure about your insurance, simply say you have none and it will save you money. I will never use Zoomcare again. read more
