I do not recommend this Zoom. I went here because it was the closest medical facility near my place. I was having increasing trouble swallowing, my eyes were really bloodshot, I was nauseous and my face was red. I explained that I believed I was having an allergic reaction to a new antibiotic and asked if they could squeeze me in given my symptoms. The Receptionist turned me away, said they had no appointments. She didn't even ask the Dr to take a quick look. I made the drive to Portland Urgent Care. I walked in and within 45 seconds the Dr was called from the back and an ambulance was called. This is how a medical facility should recognize and handle a anaphylactic reaction. read more

The in-person care you receive will be good, but they will screw you over in billing. They will claim that their services are covered by your insurance, and even if your insurance says it's covered after doing your own due diligence, they will still charge and make you pay out of pocket. Their billing people are no help, they're rude, and they don't care. They will just send you back to your insurance company and keep you in pin-pong hell until you pay. I was grateful to see the PA when my disabled sister had an ear infection, but its 2 days later and we got a text that we owe the full bill. She has Medicare and has literally never gotten a bill unless it was in error. The Safeway right around the corner covered her prescription, so her insurance was obviously never billed. Im guessing this is some glitch in the system but I don't like having to unnecessarily call a company because they have bad tech or they didn't feel like doing their jobs, which happens way too much to my sister these days, causing us both much hardship. She went on a Friday night, so I'm not even sure anyone there to process the bill. I don't know if Zoomcare is a scam or what happened, but I will change this review for better or worse if/when this gets fixed. She has THE insurance plan above all others in the entire nation. If Zoomcare doesn't process Medicare, they don't process any insurance plans. read more

My wife has been in agony for 2 days, due to a pinched nerve behind her shoulder blade, causing stabbing pain and/or numbness from her neck through her right arm. We've tried every pain killer we could get our hands on, as well as visited our chiropractor, but nothing seems to help for more than an hour. This morning was the worst pain yet. It was time to try and get some prescription meds, stat. My wife booked an appointment with this ZoomCare location via her app, which she has used several times before, for herself as well as our kids. Arriving at 12:45 as scheduled, when she attempted to check in, the attendant said that the patient registered for the appointment was our oldest son, instead of for her. Strange, but considering how much pain she was in when she booked it, something easy to overlook. The attendant also said that our son was the *only person on the account*, which is *impossible*, since a minor cannot be the primary account holder, as account registration requires insurance information and a linked credit card. However, the attendant informed us that she would have to cancel the appointment, and that as a result, that 12:45 time slot was now unavailable. Wait...what?! How does that make any sense? We are there, on-time, in their terrestrial office; the doctor is there as well, there's no one ahead of us, and my wife's info is in their system, because she's used ZoomCare several times before. So why can't the scheduler do her job and, you know...schedule? She also informed us that their mandatory lunch period was in 15 minutes, so at the very best, we wouldn't be able to look at an appointment until sometime after they returned. A-ha! So that's the real reason why she was unwilling to help us out. Meanwhile, my wife, at the point of tears due to the pain, was denied "healthcare" (if you can really call ZoomCare that) because someone wouldn't do their job. I guess I shouldn't be surprised: considering that 90% of the booking and check-in process is done through the app, this person's job is going to be replaced by AI in short order. I certainly don't see the purpose of having someone that inept at the front desk, other than to be a gatekeeper, since registering and checking in patients is too far outside her wheelhouse. What an utterly absurd façade of a healthcare provider. Zoom on out of town with your incompetence. Update: another ZoomCare location had no such issues with her account or check in, and even merged the two separate accounts she had linked to different emails, including all dependents. This office is everything wrong with American healthcare. Went in for an appointment about my foot. Doctor thought is was a bacterial infection. They pushed a prescription on me at the counter that was in the family of medicines I'm allergic to, so after taking it I developed a rash. I had notified the doctor on my intake form I was allergic to this family of medications, but they dismissed that warning. Went in for a second opinion at another Zoom Care. That doctor said I had a callus and removed it. Can you tell me how a doctor thought a callus was a bacterial infection then proceeds to prescribe medication 4x a day that when I listed I was allergic to similar medications? BUYER BEWARE! Zoomcare does not have their consumers best interest at heart. I am now stuck with a $150 bill for seeing a "specialist" when I did not know I was scheduling to see a specialist naturopathic doctor. The website is extremely misleading. My insurance will not cover my bill. I have the best insurance policy, and I should have been 100% covered. On the website, it did not tell me what kind of doctor I was scheduling with. It does not indicate a specialty for the doctors, just says "urgent care team". It just says the doctor's name. Some of the names cut off, and you can't read the whole thing (including abbreviation). Some of the names you can see an abbreviation after. Regardless, it is deceiving to the consumer and predatory that you wouldn't spell out nor give a warning for specialty doctors. I did not need a specialist. The general public does not know or recognize abbreviated certifications, such as PA-C, MD, ND, etc. I have contacted Zoomcare several times now and requested that Zoomcare review my visit. This was NOT disclosed to me at time of booking nor anywhere in the app or website. I was misled. The billing supervisor has been unwilling to work with me to resolve my issue. They said there's nothing they can do. The bare minimum I ask is that they change their website to provide FULL descriptions of doctor's specifications instead of abbreviations, as well as provide an alert when scheduling that you're seeing a specialist. read more

This clinic is garbage. I've been scheduled for a blood sample three times at this clinic. The first time, I showed up for my appointment at 9:15 and there was no one there. I waited for a half hour and no one showed up to open the clinic. The second time I arrived at my designated time, but there was no one to take my blood sample, so I was sent home. Then, the third time, they at least called me fifteen minutes before my appointment to tell me there was, again, not going to be anyone there to collect my sample. If this place can't get scheduling together, and can't get their people to show up to work on time, they don't deserve my business or yours. read more

Avoid at all costs. I was written a prescription for 2 months but since I don't take the medicine daily, it lasted awhile. When I dropped off my paperwork to my pharmacist I was told it had expired (there was no expiration on said documents- which is why I hadn't collected it sooner) and I would need to contact Zoomcare to have it approved. I've now spent all day being tossed back and forth between the two just to have zoomcare tell me I'd need to come in to get a refill prescribed. Essentially a $200 visit to give me the same paperwork. There are people struggling not just financially but mentally and you've now added to that. read more

I would rather go to legacy urgent care instead, zoomcare post the prices for visits on their website that's for uninsured but I assumed that the billing of insurance would be similar or close then when had insurance they charged us over hundreds of dollars more than the listed price so basically we were punished for having insurance and of course all that came out of my pocket since we had not yet met the deductible. Zoom care is really predatory and completely insane for how they charge patients. I called zoom care spoke to a James P and he disconnected my call as we were talking because I wanted to file a complaint and an appeal then I spoke to a Cindy F, she was really rude and condescending but the supervisor did refund the difference of what I would of paid out of pocket without insurance, which was cheaper vs with insurance but the whole fact that they ended up bill over $500 almost $600 to my insurance when cash is only $200 for the office visit itself is insane, but I did have the costs for their labs that were done but alone just the office visit they charged $407 to my insurance. AGAIN, I do not recommend them as they didn't know what the heck was going on with me anyways and only because I kept pushing they finally gave me antibiotics just to pretty much send me off. Nurse was really nice not blaming her, but the whole zoomcare model is a no go for my family and I will definitely let everyone else know as well. Zoomcare, I recommend you letting your providers know to let patients know what test they are to perform and that EACH AND EVERYTHING they do will cost you an extra arm and leg, it's NOT a bundle service coverage under the office visit. I had a mole that had turned black & was painful. I don't have insurance and I was really stressed out to find an appointment somewhere as most dermatology offices in the area were booked out 3+ months. I was able to get a next day appointment with ZoomCare. Alyssa is really compassionate, kind and fast- she was able to fit me in for a same day removal to send the mole in for testing because it did look sketchy. She even called me about 4 days later to see how I was feeling, if I needed a note for work, see how my wound was healing and to let me know my test results. I would 10/10 recommend. It was a bit pricey but without insurance that is to be expected and the care I received was quick & 10/10! read more

I do not recommend this place at all - truly wish I could give it 0 stars. I went here for a wart removal on my knee and after insurance it ended up costing $350.00+ which absolutely ridiculous. I wish I would've just gone to a regular clinic. Apparently, my families HSA card only paid part of the $350 so I still owed $120. They sent 8 letters to MY OLD ADDRESS that I never received and then sent me to collections. I called a girl today who was very unhelpful and clearly didn't know much because she just kept repeating that they sent me 8 letters, okay, I realize that BUT isn't it a company's due diligence to make sure a customer receives information? I would have gladly paid that, if I knew it was due. They need to call to follow up with customers and not just send letters. Stick to your regular doctor, it may take long but it'll save you frustration and money. read more

Best decision. It's just a shame I waited so long to make an appointment. A week ago I came down with the flu. It was horrible. Fever, chills, body aches, congestion, delirium, coughing, you get the picture - i was a 195lb blob of gelatinous mess sickness. After missing an entire week of work I make the call, set the appointment and paid up front. I don't have insurance (thank you, Not-Affordable Care Act) but they make it easy to pay up front and it's extremely affordable vs going to a hospital that charges well into the $1000's even if it's just an ER visit and nothing is accomplished. The front desk person was knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. I felt welcome which is good thing 'cause when you feel like you're on death's doorstep it's that willingness to treat another human being with dignity that brings you back to the living. Try walking thru Safeway with a mask on your face and you'll see what I mean - humans are generally rude and insensitive beings. Zoom Care must have a special pool of superior candidates that really drive home the caring aspect of their humanity. Dr Mark Tyrrell PA-C at Woodstock was my doctor. He treated me with respect, performed a thorough examination and wasn't offended when I wouldn't shake his hand. Germs are germs you know. Unable to rule out pneumonia he sent me to the Super Clinic on NE Grand where I had chest x-rays which I await those findings. Affordable (for a guy with no insurance). Excellent customer service (for a guy shunned by the general Portland Population due to their ignorance) and easy to schedule appointments (for a guy who appreciates their well designed and easy navigated web site) I whole heartedly recommend ZoomCare to everyone I know. I didn't know where else to take my four-year old on a Saturday with a severely infected abscessed tooth (other than the ER and it wasn't life threatening...yet) so I ended up bringing him here to see a physician's assistant. This guy barely examined my kid. Took a temp and later in the notes I saw he wrote "not sure how accurate". Barely got my son to open his mouth so there is no possible way he saw the extent of the abscess. Then he literally said "I wouldn't suggest antibiotics. Wait until you find a dentist." Clearly not fit to be in the medical field--is he not aware tooth infection kill people if left untreated?? We left with zero treatment plan, zero meds, and a Post-It note with two phone numbers of emergency dentist that he found...on Google. After all of this I got the insurance statement and saw what he charged: $300. For 11 minutes and a Google search. This guy should be fired. I used to like Zoomcare but I am livid, fuming, disgusted. I took my son to an ACTUAL URGENT CARE the next day and the MD was so concerned that they immediately put him on a ten day regiment of Amoxicillin and got us an appointment with a peds dentist for an extraction. This place was really great. Went here to see the Dermatologist because my primary was 5 weeks out!! Ridiculous. Dr. Doughtery was so great. Friendly, listened to my issues and solved my problem. While I was there I got to observe others coming and going and all of the Doctors seemed professional and friendly. If you need help with base medical or even a specialist you should really check out Zoom+Care and not suffer for weeks while clinics wait to get you in the door! I can only speak so far for this location but I will be using them again in the future. read more

For some reason, the pharmacist needed to verify the instructions. However, it's 8 days later and the authorized doctor at Zoom has not responded to the pharmacy's calls. So, I've spent $325, was subjected to rudeness by Max, at the front desk and I still don't have my medication. It's seems that even patients with good intentions, get abused at Zoom. I went in for my initial visit yesterday, while the staff was kind and helpful at the time, I am most frustrated about the events after my visit. I was sold crutches, and a post op shoe for a foot injury, and told to go get an x-ray. I agreed and had the x-ray done. I was told by my provider at the Woodstock office that she would e-mail me between 9-10AM the next day to follow up from my x-ray, regardless of the results. I received an e-mail an hour after my visit with my x-ray results. Its past noon on the second day now, and I still have not heard from my provider. I did a zoom chat that was just even more confusing and told me I don't need the shoe and crutches I just purchased.. And still nothing from my provider. I told my provider that my post op shoe did not fit correctly. I was told to bulk it up with socks. I have done that and it still does not fit. The provider on zoom chat simply just told me "Don't trip." when I told them this. Its like since my foot isn't broken, I don't deserve a follow up e-mail with a plan for what to do next? I'm still in pain. I'm still swollen I'm still having a hard time walking. But apparently zoomcare does not care about that. NEVER tell a patient you will e-mail them, if you have no plans to follow up with them. That is irresponsible and just rude. I am frustrated and upset. read more

I called multiple clinics trying to receive a new primary care physician, on top of that I've had a cold for two weeks. No clinics could see me for months and it wasn't even a new patient issue. I logged into Zoom, same day appt, no hassle and even asked a question via their zoomcare email. Received all responses within an hour. It was amazingly quick. Kristina Stover was my PA, and she was caring, quick, and provided exactly what was needed. The front admin was also helpful and amazingly friendly, I think her name was Janna?. I don't want to be a Karen, but at this point I feel like people need to be warned *not* to go to this place. Today I went in to get asthma medication refilled. I was given paper prescriptions to take in to the pharmacy, and was told that they sold rescue inhalers there, and they asked if I wanted to buy one there. I said sure, thinking it would save me an additional stop, and they charged me $28 for it. After I got home I looked at the box, and was shocked to see that they had sold me a free sample. Let me repeat that: they sold me a free sample. How do I know this is a free sample? I have had asthma for decades, and used to receive this exact same inhaler in doctor's offices. It contains 60 inhalations. A normal rescue inhaler has 200 inhalations. They do not sell this size at any pharmacy, in any country. This is less than 1/3 size, for the same amount of money I'd pay for 200 inhalations at the pharmacy. After trying to call and failing to get a human being on the phone after 25 minutes of waiting, I went back in with the unopened inhaler, only to be told they cannot accept returns on medication. Great. And here's the real rub: at no time, at any point, did anyone tell me that they were selling me anything other than the same inhaler I would get at the pharmacy. They never, ever said that it was smaller. This is the shadiest experience I've ever had with any medical office anywhere. DO NOT FILL PRESCRIPTIONS AT THIS PLACE. read more

Most certainly not the best experience I have received from Zoom Care before. First off I had scheduled an apt and someone else just walks in without an apt and asks the front desk if he can speak with a doctor just for a few minutes. The doctor comes out and tells me she will be with me when she's finished. His "few minutes" lasted 15 minutes so I had to wait 30 min after my actual apt time to get in. I just thought it was unprofessional as well as unfair that I have to schedule an apt and PAY when some random person comes in and sees the doctor for the same amount of time I did but yet he didn't have to pay...? Wtf. Also I got unclear advice and answers from the doctor that I saw. I was told I needed to make a separate apt to ask about another issue that tied in with the issue I came in for? So I need to make another apt because you are running late because you took a random person in during my apt time? Will not be visiting again. read more

I just had a really positive experience at the Woodstock clinic, which is just a 4 minute drive from my home. I was able to schedule and have an appointment within the same hour. My insurance covered the visit with a minimal co-pay. One of my ears was blocked and I couldn't hear out of it; sound was muffled. I suspected ear wax build up and didn't want to risk home care. I saw Laura Russell, PA-C and she removed the ear wax with a flush kit, and I walked out of there within 10 minutes with the problem solved! I found her bedside manner to be very supportive and sincerely appreciated the care! read more

Scheduled an appointment for 11:00 for an annual checkup and I walked in the door at 11:06 and the gal at the front said im sorry we will have to reschedule this as we have a 5 minute late policy.... This was the worst experience I have ever had at an urgent care clinic. After waiting almost 40 minutes after my appointment time I saw a healthcare provider who completely invalidated my symptoms, did not do a thorough examination or health history, and told me to go off the antibiotics my other doctor prescribed, telling me that my sinus infection didn't require them even though my doctor specifically stated that I needed to be treated for any infection immediately. She was invalidating and insulting. After going to another urgent care directly after I had a doctor tell me that I had a serious infection which would be dangerous without antibiotics. I never write reviews but bad healthcare is not simply insulting its downright dangerous. Do not go here. read more

here on vacation, I finally admitted I was sick --on a sunday morning. I made an appt for 9am easily online the night before and was seen immediately. the front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and compassionate as was the doctor. Dr. Brooks listened, asked questions and included me in the plan of care. They both gave advice for filling the prescriptions and encouraged me to call if not feeling better. Very efficient and catered to someone from out of town very well. Mahalo!! read more
