If you are looking for a good burger place in Riverside, you should go to Zorba's! So far I've been to Zorba's twice and was satisfied both times. While I still prefer In-N-Out for like the typical meat patty burger, however I come to Zorba's for their pastramis. My all time favorite is the combination between pastramis and regular burger, which they called it the Zorba burger. It sounds so bad for you (probably is) but it's SOOO good. My friends has gotten the avocado bacon burger/sandwich which they said was the bomb. so i don't see how you can go wrong with Zorba's. Aside from their crazy burgers, they also got some sides that goes with it, while they have fries, they also have fry zucchinis as well as fry mushrooms (which is super good!). ALSO... Zorba's new drinking dispensing machine is quite fascinating, which catch my attention. I would like to thank the drive thru attendant and cook who put half cooked, soggy, greasy fries in my bag of food. It was ticket #260, on 08/21/16, at 5:39pm. The young lady was African American with green eyes, the receipt says the server was "owner." There is no way that food should have went out that window, it was gross and thrown away after I drove the 15 minutes back home. I have been a customer for years and never received that poor quality of food, possibly under new ownership? read more

i'm a senior at ucr and how come i haven't heard of zorba's UNTIL THIS MONTH?! shame on me. i really like this place. the korean couple who owns zorba's is super friendly. they knew right away i was korean and had this friendly smile. i bowed and said hello in korean. i was about to break a dollar bill b/c i didn't have enough change but she was like "don't worry about it." haha so kind. the best part about this place is the soda machine like all the people have mentioned. it's SO COOL. i wish i can buy one for myself at home... i didn't even know there were such flavors like: coke lime, coke peach, strawberry sprite etc etc. i recommend not mixing flavors like i did b/c it tastes... weird. stick with one flavor and you'll be fine. i only have tried the #1 combo with cheese but each time i was satisfied :) i get a major food coma afterwards but i still love zorba's! i really wanna try the drive thru next time. i'm not a fan of pastrami or bacon so i think i'll try other sandwiches or something. this place really reminds me of jim's in arcadia. read more

Very disappointed today with the service of this place! Im never the one to complain but today was a different story! Today I had went to buy a meal in the drive thru and forgot to ask for an extra empty cup, well I had walked back in and waited in line to buy one and the "old Asian lady" was very rood to me because she was questioning me why I wanted to buy one and I gave her an explanation when I shouldn't have had to! Than to top it off she uses her hand gestures to rush and push me away like if I was an animal! It's been years that I've been a regular customer to this place making them $100's and spreading good word for them but when one person is messing it up for others or the restaurant well than someone needs to get to the bottom of it! Pushing customers away isn't the way to make business! Seeing all the good reviews, I had to give this place a try! Okay seriously? Do you guys giving this place 5 stars living under a rock? I went here last night for the first time (okay maybe because it was a cold Sunday night around 7pm, so this place was empty) so I just went through the drive thru. I got the bacon cheeseburger & fries. First off, I'm thinking "okay, this food is taking FOREVER for a fast food joint, so it must be really good since they should be making it fresh since it's taking so long right?" Wrong. The food came out, and of course I have to munch on the fries as I'm driving home... It is soooo mushy and gross! =( I get home, open the burger and the the meat in the burger was soooo dry it was ridiculous! And can someone tell me where my cheese on my bacon cheeseburger is? yup, not there! I gotta say the bacon on the burger was cooked perfectly and delicious though... But that's about it. Seriously? For a $8+ burger and fries, no drink, I'd rather go to Islands where they actually know how to cook a burger... or go to innout and spend half the price and get a delicious meal! A nice variety of foods (Pastrami burgers, chilli cheese fries, taquitos, tuna melts, gyros, among many others) and they also have one of those cool "freestyle" soda machines (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V-yphI7JPk). This place is great, my only slight gripe the large influx of annoying frat/sorority kids that come in at times. Place is nice, food is amazing, prices aren't bad, and the service is great, real nice people. Family run business, Owner and staff are always very friendly and helpful (when I'm having trouble deciding what to eat, and the Asian dude always makes me laugh! These are my favorite burgers and breakfast burritos are awesome too! Fresh ingredients, great portions for the price. (the best ranch dressing) Lastly, the awesome coffee! Best hole in the wall burger place in town! My brother's friend worked nearby and told us about it so we tried it and been hooked since! We go once a week to get our Zorba's burger fix. The family that runs it is really nice. A couple of reviews on here said the Asian lady owner is rude but she is really very sweet. The restaurant business is difficult and with customers in your face about a HAMBURGER order everyday... I'd be irritated too... c'mon people it's a hamburger place... what do you expect? The owners son is really nice too. Since we've become frequent customers and they recognize us and stop to say hi. My brother and I come for the burgers... We don't think they are pricey... good sized burgers with 1000 island sauce... yummm! I like their fried mushrooms a lot too and they give you a TON. So you get a lot of food! The old movie décor is kinda cool too and there are two TVs which usually has ESPN on every time we go. Me and my family love Zorba's and come here at least once a week for lunch. The service is friendly and very quick. The food is always great! I would recommend the avocado bacon burger or the Zorba's burger, you can't go wrong with either. The french fries are perfect every time.....other restaurants could learn from the way they are prepared and somehow stay hot until your done eating them. HORRIBLE! I ordered a breakfast burrito for my wife with the eggs on the side, my wife doesn't like eggs but my 13 month old son does.The employees were happy to accommodate the request. That was until the OWNER denied my order and asked me to order a side of eggs for my son. He said it didn't make sense to him. The food is pretty good for a fast food restaurant... The staff is usually friendly - but at times seems like the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. This place seems to always be busy - which unfortunately has gone to their heads.. The result = customer service has suffered. This place is close and I go there often - I usually call in my order.. I decided to try something different and asked what the price was... He said " I'm not at a register right now" hmmmm that's weird . So I asked for a ballpark price and he responded they were too busy and did NOT quote prices... WTF??? If you are that busy - quit being so cheap and hire some additional help so you can provide standard customer service... So I excused myself from the call and contacted "CHRIS' Burgers" across the street. They were extremely helpful and the food is just as good!!! One of my favorite local places to go. Get in the drive thru at 8:50pm (open til 10)and there's 2 cars in front of me. Lady on the speakers says that they're closed and the grills are turned off. This morning we went in for breakfast. I HATE eggs but I really like breakfast burritos. I ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs on the side. The girls up front let us order but the actual owner, denied us...after we had already paid. He told us to order ANOTHER side of eggs, other than the ones I have already paid for, so that my 13 month old can eat. My husband asked him why he couldn't do it and the owner stated "I don't understand why you want the eggs on the side?" He actually refunded our money instead of just putting the scrambled eggs, that he was ALREADY making, on the side for a 13 month old to eat . We have been loyal customers of Zorba's for years, after today we will never eat here again. We ordered at the drive thru this morning upon returning home discovered the breakfast burritos had salsa in them. My son has a food allergy to some of the ingredients in the salsa so we never order these with salsa. I drove back and ask them to remake them. The owner's son comes out of the kitchen upset and confronts me. Stating they were made as we ordered them and proceeded to speak very loudly and confrontational in front of everyone in the restaurant and kept go on and on how this is not their fault but mine and I need to understand that like it was a big inconvenience and he was doing me a big favor like it was his right to verbally berate me. He then went back in the kitchen remade the burritos then came back out and he still could not control his anger. I stated we come in here all the time and order the same thing that I could deal with a misunderstand even if I had to drive all the way back for the correct order, He cut me off and told me" It does not matter if we come in there a lot or not they made the order right and I need to understand that he is not being not nice" He was obviously very upset about something else and took it out on me. I was very calm and respectful when I came in but by them time I left and he was still shouting from the kitchen at me while I am trying to leave because I do not wish to engage in a unprovoked argument with a guy that has anger issues. I love coming to this place they have such good food and good pastrami sandwiches. There is really nothing bad I can say about this place. But I don't have one complaint, I came here after 6pm on Sunday and they were closed. I looked online and both their website and this Yelp listing say they close at 9pm. I called the number I found and some lady I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about. She gave the phone to some guy with a heavy accent (I couldn't understand him). So my only complaint is if this places closes now at 6 on Sunday's (or any other days) then this Yelp listing and the website need to be update. They have the best chili I have ever had its delicious. I sometimes stop for chili and go home and make my own chili dogs. But I don't know what has happened over the past 6 months. Their fries used to be so good and for these past months they have to be the worst in town. They used to be crisp and a golden yellow and delicious, now they are cold and dark brown and terrible.
