Really good food 100% recommend I was at the drive through and had really good customer service

Many people had recommend me Tams burgers and i finally had the chance to stop by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was smaller than i expected with only a few tables/booths.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was actually pretty packed for a weekday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were really friendly and our food came out quick. We ordered their box combo special that comes with a burger (cheese is extra) fries and 2 chicken strips for 10 dollars. I think this was a very filling meal that's easily shareable and good for the price. I also ordered the fried zucchinis which were my personal favorite. They come with ranch that was really good. I will say besides the box combo their prices seem to be a little pricey but overall they do give you big portions and the quality wasn't bad. read more

I visited Tam's and the staff was polite when taking my order. Unfortunately, when I got home (about a 15-minute drive), I realized my order was incorrect. My fries were missing, and the steak sandwich I ordered with avocado did not have avocado--even though I was charged for it. I called the restaurant to request a refund for the fries and the avocado. I even offered to send pictures or a video of the food to show that the items were missing. Despite that, the manager said the only option was for me to drive back to the restaurant so they could remake the order. With gas prices being high, it didn't make sense for me to drive another 30 minutes round trip for about $8 worth of food. I explained that I wasn't trying to get free food--if someone were trying to scam a restaurant, it certainly wouldn't be over such a small amount. I was simply asking for a refund for the items I didn't receive. Mistakes happen, but the situation was handled in an unprofessional way. Customer service should focus on resolving issues fairly and conveniently for customers. read more

This is the second time eating at this restaurant and I thought it couldn't be worse than my first experience. The staff is rude and beyond unprofessional. There was a young latino guy that works the drive thru and he is the rudest one of all he has no shame in being a total dickhead to the public. I spoke to the "manager" of that store that was also a even bigger idiot, when I called the main store I was informed that the manager of this store is a male and I was lied to. Eventually a staff member called back with no resolution. I would boycott this resturant & hopefully they get shut down and there employees can appriciate their job and actually have some descency is treating customers with respect. You guys all suck and so does the food. Low class people in a low-class neighborhood. It's what is expected and encouraged in staffing with such. read more

If you're a Great British Baking fan you'll understand a soggy bottom. Was picking up some lunch. I've had other great experiences from other Tam's locations so was expecting the same quality. Unfortunately it was a little lacking. Speaking as a zucchini stick fan these were underwhelming. Too much breading that was no where near crispy. Kinda had the texture of old zucchini warmed up in a microwave. The zucchini didn't have that crunch or bite. The zucchini wasn't succulent it was dry and limp. The burger was pretty big and a substantial size. But it had soggy bottom bread. Maybe by toasting the buns it would prevent that from happening. I would give Tams another chance to convince me that they can be as good as the other locations I've enjoyed. Maybe dine in would be a better quality? I'm hoping. The service was friendly, fast and quick. I was the only one in line. I would have gladly waited for a fresh order. It really sucks that there are not many options for a good burger joint and we have this excuse. Went in for a breakfast burrito and a coffee, the girl working the counter is clueless. Repeated the order multiple times and she just stares at you cluelessly. This is to be expected from any worker here, they all seem miserable working here. So I went to this place a couple of weeks ago. And I thought let me give it a try. But it turns out I should've read the reviews. I ordered a cheeseburger and fry combo. My cheeseburger looked like everything was just slapped on the buns. And my fries were so dry and overcooked. And to top it off there sign says they charge a fee when paying with a credit card and I paid with my debit!! This is ridiculous that they want to charge you a fee. Service is always good, Most of the food here is good just please stay away from anything with their carne asada unless you want meat with heaps of grease. Last two times I got the Philly cheesesteak which was just carne asada with cheese and so much grease that that the bread got soaked with the pool at the bottom, and this time I got Carne asada fries, it's asada fries with another pool of grease and what felt like a pound of Nacho cheese... nobody wants that. The chicken tenders are some of the best I've ever had and taste like real fried chicken, the french fries are always so good and the seasoning tastes too good. Coming from LA tams is a staple in LA and the county itself and the rubidoux location here is far better than any tams I can ever find in LA county. The service is amazing and all the workers are very polite and seem to actually wanna work unlike other locations. Food was great. My order was just a junior cheeseburger, no thousand island, no tomato and no pickles because it was to go. It was so good! The burger was thin and flame broiled. Loved it. Two orders of fries. They were ok. We did get one milkshake. It was thick and good. The restaurant is clean and tiny, bright. Glad they sprung back after the fire. I remember when this location was a Baker's. Great service. We were so surprised our order came out so fast, not to mention getting it home abd still hot. Parking is sufficient. The menu is amazing. I'll be coming back. Maybe for the carne asada burrito. I've been one other time and only remember ordering the zucchini and it was so good. It was a lot of zuch! I try not to review chain restaurants because let's face it, what are you really expecting from McDonald's or Taco Bell? I was pretty familiar with Tam's from when I used to frequent Los Angeles so I was pretty stoked when one popped up much closer to me. Even though it's a chain, Tam's is one of those hole in the wall style restaurants with burgers, Mexican food and breakfast. Food is cooked fresh and the portions are large so be prepared for a bit of a wait. I'm kind of a creature of habit so I usually get the same things. Club sandwich (includes a drink). Three slices of toasted white bread with ham, bacon, cheese and veggies served on a bed of fries with a couple of onion rings and zucchini strips. It's a mountain of food but the fries aren't the best so eat everything else first lol. The breakfast burritos are some of the biggest around. I swear these weigh like two pounds. The chorizo one has beans and rice in it which is not common but it's a tasty burrito. The carne asada burrito is also really good. It's huge, the meat is super flavorful and they give both salsa and guac. The guac is unbelievable. So there you have it. Tam's is a chain/hole in the wall (if that makes sense) where everything is freshly made. So adjust your wait time accordingly, especially if you're going to use the drive thru. If there are three cars in front of you just go inside lol. I've never had a bad meal here but I also stick with what I know is good. Give 'em shot if you're in the area! read more

So my review of this place is mixed. The food, if you dine in, is always tasty. However, if you get it to go it is hit and miss. After thinking about it, I know why. It is how they pack the food. Things like chili cheese dogs which can leak should not be placed on top of fries--the fries get soggy. They should always be placed in the bag last. If it is just me--with one burger and and order of fries, it is good. Add something like a chili cheese dog which is placed on top of the other items--it is not as good. read more
